The voice casting for Valdore is nothing short of perfect, the eerie calmness that some how comes across as intimidating is just serenity upon my ears.
"It will follow you through time for it was made for you and no other. Some things survive. This is one of them." The delivery of those sentences is incredible. As per the comment above, the voice casting of Valdor is perfect.
His voice I thought originally was so "generic", but then as you start to listen to all the other characters, the primarchs, the Emperor, the minor characters, Valdor's voice has an eerie quality. He has no accent, no Terran, no high Gothic, none of the foreign born accents. It's like he wasn't raised by anyone. It's like he just was, well.. made speaking and learning. You can tell his voice holds back so much emotion and exudes the calmest demeanor.. you guys have chosen your voices for the characters damn nearly perfect.
I bet Constantine wonders every day why the emperor didn’t install the super loyalty button in the primarchs. Even without the indoctrination, a body made entirely by the emperor is going to custom asf. If not a loyalty enforcer, the emperor should have installed some kind of psychic off switch for the primarchs. Horus is acting a fool? Ok, I just turned his body off from across the galaxy.

Constantune Valdor. The one human beyond the Emperor and Malcador I truly think could match a Primarch. As a warrior, a general, a guardian and as a symbol, he is a singular being. Even as Terra burned in rebellion, even as the Master of Mankind fell, even as the Imperium was split in two, he was unmoved by grief or wrath. By fury or sorrow. By joy or judgment. Valdor was the immovable final wall of the Custodian Guard. The Emperors greatest guardian. First and greatest of the Adeptus Custodians
I have always thought of the custodes as all of them being equal to a primarch as far as being warriors. They are supposed to be the best of the best so they are way above regular astartes and up there with primarchs
@@commissaryarrick9670 alpharius killed a Custodian pretty comfortably. Most Custodes are nowhere near Primarch level. Valdor is a different story however.
@@jackrogers5712 Keep in mind, Alpharius isnt like any other Primarch as well. He was after all, trained by Malcador himself during the Crusades in the art of subterfuge and trickery. So I believe that would give him quite the leg up on "comfortably" killing a Custodian, considering that Alpharius was tasked with infiltrating and assassinating the Emperor himself on Holy Terra, by which is no small feat to be ignored as he had almost succeeded in the attempt.
“He’s dead constintne!” That moment when a primarchs tells someone to have a soul, this feels so tragic like he has thoughts but doesn’t know what they are like he probably is actually loyal without the genecraft at this point but is so alone.
Exactly that there's so much emotion carried through that line which is ironic because Constantine dosent fully understand human emotions but he's still a loyal boyyo through and through.

I always felt like the Emperor could have found more suicide missions for the thunder warriors. They likely wouldn't have refused even if they knew they were being replaced. They just wanted to fight more than anything and would have been a great spearhead against Luna.
They were MUCH faster and stronger than SM and the SM pretty much stomped the galaxy. Honestly aside from Crave and Rangdang(however you spell it) there isn't really much for them. Transporting them with their unstable mental state could have been suicide. Imagine them on ships not even with Solar Aux, but with the Astartes to replace them. They had to go before the crusade.
Agreed but against what? If he brought them to the Great Crusade he would have to reequip them for space warfare and they would have to fight side by side with their replacements (space marines). I doubt their unsabillity would help the Marines in any way tbh but rather get in the way. You dont buy a new phone and wait for your old one to die. You replace it right away.
In all truth he could have figured out a better end for them but it's probably meant to be a stain on the emperor showing how he isn't some ultimate good guy but rather a cold logical being with a set of goals and is more than willing to sacrifice pieces on the board or throw them away.

The emperor’s pressure charges the entire room with so much gravity and just raw power yet with all his might he carry’s so much grace your description of him so much as entering a room nearly brought me to tears man this video is out fucking standing
The story of 40k is, in my opinion, a modern Tragedy worthy of the Bard himself. There are moments of triumph, but beneath it all is an eternal melancholy which sits at the very soul of Man, that I feel you capture better than all the other podcasts on RUclips. I will always keep coming back for more.

I can't get over how perfect Valdor's voice acting is. That bored indulgence mixed with a sort of quiet desperation of a man beat down by millennia. Softly spoken, but exuding power - the perfect soldier that keeps marching on because it is his unending duty. I wanted to help voice act this series, and even reached out to TAK when he had just a few hundred subscribers, but I can't match this voice - I keep coming back to this video above all others, because something about Valdor makes me feel for him - such power, but with no will of his own, likely completely unable to recognize his own crippling depression - putting one foot in front of the other because he knows nothing else, with no end in sight.
Oh man, when he describes the emperor walking around the throne room pulling the curtains down thats shit gave me goose pimples. That was an awe-inspiring moment in the 40k verse and how he talks about the emperors sorrow in what he knows has to be done to beat the Warmaster is crazy touching for such few words.

Valdor is a figure of loyalty, duty, service, and he is one of the few that the Emperor trusted with no doubt of his abilities. There are few that will ever compare to the Captain-General glory and honor and none will ever live against him.
These are by far the greatest production value lore videos. No one gets close to it in quality, voice-overs and production. I love everything warhammer related (40k, old world and AOS(ish)), but Amber King; your videos, each and everyone of them, are masterpieces. I love streamers like Baldemort, Luetin, Majorkill and many others, but by very far TheAmberKing takes the crown. Long live TheAmberKing!!!

I must have listened to this atleast 2 dozen times in the last month, all of the VA's did amazing work, I still get chills every time Valdor tells Dorn that the only element that could not be accounted for was him. when Russ yells that the emperor is dead, and the incredible way Hal describes the emperor tearing down the curtains. This is phenomenal work all around, here's to listening to it another 2 dozen times!

I can only say that this narration and the mix of music and voice overs brings Warhammer 40k to light and offers a glimpse into the true depths of the lore. I love the voice chosen for Constantin Valdor. It is truly befitting a character whose most important trait was the exceptional loyalty to the Emperor and his plan. Needless to say, everyone does a great job. It may actually be the most "intro level" video on the channel, too.

Jaghatai was the unsung hero we always needed in The Siege Of Terra .... I find it ammusing he was doubted tbh. He was one of the most honourable of all the Primarchs. The very thought. That a legion as superlative as the Khans brilliant White Scars to be highly offensive! For me....him, Glorious Golden Hawk Boy(Emperor bless his immortal soul) and Rogal Dorn were the true MVPs of the HH. Glorious work man as ever. A year late but superb 👏👏👏
I've got say you have a fantastic gift of bringing these characters and stories to life. I usually watch these while doing the house work and multiple times I find myself just stopped and listening. As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to warhammer lore videos you are what games workshop should be striving for. This video is SO INTENSE man lol. This is why its hard for me to get through some TAG videos. lol My routine while watching content is either when I'm painting, or when I'm done eating, I'm fat and happy, stretched out on the couch, about to pass out. Well I don't have an army I'm working on atm so mostly its the latter of the two. This is hardly the kind of content you can stretch out and just let your eyes go closed to. Also its too beautiful to look at and so intense even if I had an army in front of me I wouldn't be getting shit done.

Honestly the voice for Valdor is just perfect.
The voice actor for Constantin had done a very great job. I dont know why, but he sounds like Thanos.
I can only say that this narration and the mix of music and voice overs brings Warhammer 40k to light and offers a glimpse into the true depths of the lore. I love the voice chosen for Constantin Valdor. It is truly befitting a character whose most important trait was the exceptional loyalty to the Emperor and his plan. Needless to say, everyone does a great job. It may actually be the most "intro level" video on the channel, too.

He also does amazing readings and voice characterizations, and his Psyclopean project, which is a collection of original Lovecraftian Ambient musical works, is a favorite of mine- it’s fantastic and I frequently listen while reading. Also huge appreciation to A Vox In The Void, who does such awesome narration/voice work. This collaboration is something that I’ll come back and listen to again, as I have with all of your character explorations and celebrations. I may not be as familiar with all of your other contributors, but they deserve appreciation as well. Great job.

To be clear, the whole thing was excellent. I just liked that part the most.
This video is SO INTENSE man lol. This is why its hard for me to get through some TAG videos. lol My routine while watching content is either when I'm painting, or when I'm done eating, I'm fat and happy, stretched out on the couch, about to pass out. Well I don't have an army I'm working on atm so mostly its the latter of the two. This is hardly the kind of content you can stretch out and just let your eyes go closed to. Also its too beautiful to look at and so intense even if I had an army in front of me I wouldn't be getting shit done.
