In this pro wrestling documentary, I attempt to look at the dark side of the ring and Terry Bollea. I explore almost every lie Hulk Hogan told throughout his career. From his run in with Richard Belzer and confrontation with the media. To lies and racism scandals. Hulk Hogan's rise to become a legend in WWE with Vince McMahon and WCW with the NWO and Eric Bischoff is full of exciting wrestling stories and some dark secrets which the Hulkster would probably rather we all forgot.

He got hooked on being "the rockstar" so to speak is my theory. And time waits for no man, not even Hogan. Wrestling is one of those things where it's pretty much only a young man's game. Sure, plenty of older people still do it, but look at them doing it in their youth compared to them currently. Luckily some had other skills to fall back on (rock with acting, chris jericho makes music ontop of still wrestling, etc), but for a lot of guys wrestling was their one and only skill. And because Hogan was the perfect "all-american" good guy that always won, he was basically the real-life superman. But all the glory and money and fame, not to mention anything that came with those got to his head.

Hogan's "neck injury" in Detroit happened just a couple of weeks after Detroit Lions player Mike Utley had been paralyzed in a game at the nearby Pontiac Silverdome. Hogan famously told everyone he put over they injured him. He'd act like, "Yeah brother I'm hurt but it's all good brother, but dang it hurts so bad." He'd draw on their sympathy and then later on use it to get a favor out of them. So if someone was getting hotter than him he could use that favor to get himself back over or slightly change in ring action to give himself a bigger pop.. Rumors are he did this to A LOT of guys. You'd think he was injured after every single match. Kudos to Calloway Undertaker for catching on quick. Dudes a lot smarter than he lets on especially for a greenhorn at that time. He tricked a LOT of guys with that injury lie which sucks super hard since injuries are so devastating.

🎯🎯🎯🎯 I’d never heard this story before. My knee jerk reaction is that Hogan saw ‘Taker’s potential as a rival to his position and ran to Vince to attempt a knockout blow to his career. If he was jammed up THAT bad, he should have either got in an ambulance or, if he was concerned about his superhero image, asked someone to take him to the ER on the downlow…

Now, as an adult I'm just sad that he made the choices to put so many skeletons in his closet and lied so much that you can't ever *truly believe anything he has said or will say. He'll always be remembered as a liar and that his word means nothing*
Look at Bubba The Love Sponge let Hogan screw his wife and taped it and after it was stolen and leaked Bubba still did damage control for Hogan. Seems like Bubba is a waaay better friend than Hogan could ever be. I mean, you have a storied career and a great life but he still had to lie about so much and everything he's ever said has less credibility. Like Elvis being a Hulkamaniac. That was just pathetic and so was the lie about being offered the lead role in The Wrestler but turning it down because he said he "Didn't deserve it" at least he told the truth in his lie. What a bum. I'm sad when I almost died from Pneumonia at 5yrs old I was hallucinating Hogan being at my bedside.

Each video in this series should have a link to every other video in that same series. If you don't have the links then people will have to look for the other parts and then you will lose engagement with all those people that'll just move on.

It seems from watching this, that Hulk suffers from a severe case of Munchausens Syndrome or a overriding and irrational need for attention. He's basically addicted to the fame and attention. Munchausen Syndrome - An overwhelming need for attention or fame that becomes so severe it can cause you to physically harm yourself for notice. You could argue many wrestlers fall into this diagnosis. Jeff Hardy and Darby Allin come to mind.
Munchausen by proxy- Same thing except you harm someone else, usually your child or a family member. Susan Smith would be the best example of this disorder.

    • @sorrenblitz805

@mattmattix2598 this is 1983 the common person didn’t know nothing about tapping out as that only became popular with Ken Shamrock going to WWF because it went from the verbal/head nodding to submit to tapping out and of course when MMA started to get big near the end of the 90’s (due how hard it was to get a UFC show on in America as the original UFC was illegal in most states as they were no holds barred fights, win 3 fights in a night to become champion. There was no weight class head butting, kicks/punches to the groin, soccer kicks, stomping on a downed opponent’s head and punches/elbows (including 6 to 12 elbows) to where the spine joins to the skull were all legal moves. If UFC didn’t conform set up rules like we have today someone was gonna get killed as originally referees couldn’t stop the fights only KO, tap out or corner throwing in the towel). Anyway even if Richard Bellend sorry Belzer (bellend is English slang for the head of a circumcised penis) tapping Hogan wouldn’t of known what his was do most likely as he wasn’t an amateur wrestler growing up
