This video is everything, it really shows Vince from every possible angle, I was at points happy, sad, and angry with Vince at different points in this video, it’s actually nuts that one person can invoke all those emotions out of a person and them all be genuine feelings
It really isn’t. People are multifaceted. People change and do different things over the course of their lives. Most people haven’t been getting away with sex crimes for over four decades though.
I do tend to agree with McMahon about not letting your environment define you. However, Yes he had some rough times and did spend some time being poor but then had the good fortune of his father returning and that is what changes his life. He did not do it all on his own, he had a father who finally hit in business and changed Vince's life forever. Had that not happened I doubt he ends up where he did.
It's the will to not let it define you... For everyone who complains about shitty environment, or poor upbringing; there's some millionaire with a similar or worse story that somehow overcame. Their advice is always the same... Opportunity is everywhere u need it to be when u really want to escape.
Simplt put: it's easy for a nepo baby to claim other people can't blame their upbringing for their woes when he has a rich father that handed him the opportunity of a lifetime.
Vince’s dad did dominate the local area, but it was his own decision to expand his fathers company nationally, Vince owned the company since 1982. He created wrestlemania, he handled talent recruitment and retention through the 80s, 90, and onward. People can inherit a million dollar company and retire in suburban comfort, or they can take a million and make it a billion.
Vince being abused sexually but then he goes in to do the same thing to his employees pissed me off to no end. Vince was supposed to have changed. Not only that but cheating on his wife isn't love at all. It's the deepest kind of betrayal ever. All the crap Vince grew up dealing with one would think he wouldn't have acted the way he has towards his employees or his wife. The guy has no honor
honor is fake, fraudulent and something only shown when it benefits you . Anyone who knows the nature of business knows that loyalty has no place in it .
I just saw the interview with Jeff Jarrett. I heard about Owen Hart and came across the video. Jeff talked about the night Owen died. How he was forced to get in the ring and fight. After seeing them try to save Owen. In a ring where the floor was badly damaged from Owen's fall. This man here, who is the subject of this video, is literally over dead bodies.
Ive always looked at the McMahon family storylines as borderline. Now understanding Vinces childhood, it brings me to tears. He was allowing his children to destroy his demons.
What is crazy is Vincent filed for bankruptcy and was pretty much broke before buying the WWF in the 80s, and he was almost 40 years old. He didn't get rich young, or over night. I dont like a lot about him, but thats amazing. He never gave up and achieved success.
People can't keep up with him because it's something Vince wants, the WWF/WWE is Vince's dream. He is accomplished in what he wanted to do. I know how hard it is first hand to actually stay down when you've actually got something going that you want to do.
his dedication is not to the wider world of wrestling, but to wwe, and wwe only. and even that only seems to extend as far as 'as long as i'm in charge, pal!'
At the end I feel Vince has done more good than bad. I will always be grateful for the attitude era it marks my Youth. The memories will never be duplicated or replaced. Thank you Vince, nobody is perfect.

LoL It seems like every 5 minutes he changed microphones!! This "video" has interesting facts but is the equivalent of Frankenstein's Monster. There video is a mishmash of multiple other videos, or podcasts, created by the uploader. There is almost zero chance in Hell, that it started as a epic, Vince McMahon deep dive. There is quality inconsistencies, facts that are repeated, strange edits, no talk of WMIII and no real effort, to keep the viewer's eyes entertained. I'm guessing it is parts of a podcast, mixed with other uploads. It's not the worst but it's definitely rough around the edges! Cheers from Montreal, home of the "screw job" and great smoke meat. And nothing else ;) JK
God it's such a shame about the mic quality throughout, because this is exceptional documentary making. Would love to see a remaster with better audio.
It isn't the audio quality. The audio is split towards the end, and have his vocals coming via left, and background via right speaker. This should be a simple fix. Blew it for me as well tbh
Vince was an insanely driven man that knew exactly what he wanted and would bulldoze anyone in his way to get it. Hes both brilliant and cruel. A victim and a victimizer. Life is messy and dark and at the end of the day we are all complecated human beings. Its correct to say Vince was a successful man in many ways and a great father to his kids in most aspects. And hes done lots of good deeds throughout his years to individuals and organisations But laden throughought all of it was a man that ruined lives for no reason whatsoever. He did things you dont have to do to make it big in business. Things that casually destroy lives and hurt people and for what? He was fun to watch on camera and played his part in the greatest era in wrestling but he was a piece of shit that perpetrated the cycle of cruelty onto others instead of overcoming it. Thats a weak man in my eyes
I havent actually watched a wrestling wrestling match in years and really only watched it consistently from 00-03 max really. I played the games way more than i watched it over the years. Vince McMahon is a flawed individual, but nobody can deny the impact he made to pro wrestling, he’s a living legend, and his flaws, and his actions prove that he’s only human.
There's no denying the mark Vince has left on the wrestling world. But, similar to his remarks on Chris Benoit's tragic, final days (R.I.P. Nancy & Daniel), there were acts of planning and deliberation that tarnish his legacy. No one may ever know what was said behind closed doors to keep Jimmy Snuka out of trouble; no one may ever know just how easily the Owen Hart tragedy could've been avoided; no one may ever know how deep the rabbit hole goes with Vince's affairs. It's just terribly difficult to overlook these things when you think about the man. Thanks for the deep-dive documentary, Wrestle Pod.
I mean, look at the interview where they ask if he's responsible for their health and safety and he acts offended saying why the hell is that my responsibility? Even smacks the dudes papers and getting pissed when confronted, so many die young and don't get the care they need, or time off, and aren't even employees You can respect his accomplishments but find the man reprehensible haha, ironically funny that he and trump were buddies but he's vastly more successful and wealthy than trump ever was
@@KaladinVegapunkidk this may be very very foolish but i dont think he can sleep at night, theres a reason he couldnt stay away from wwe, he’s gonna go until he dies, i dont think he can face life without this.
It’s not terribly difficult. If we’re gonna be judge and jury to anyone at any time and then die what kind of human race is that going to be and look like at the end of time? This is why God exist. This is why we aren’t God. He’s a man like any other born under the same sinful circumstances everyone else is. Each individual is judged according to their life by God and thankfully not us. Imagine what they said about Jesus before they murdered Him.

I appreciate the work put into this, but it should be noted that WrestleMania was not the first wrestling pay-per-view. Starrcade was, two years prior.
It was the weirdest moment of my young life when the baby face announcer I had been watching for years turned heel and "became" the owner/CEO/Head of the WWE. Vince, love him, hate him, no matter your personal feelings for him or his conduct, he is one of the greatest characters in wrestling, and is hands down the single most influential person to have made modern day wrestling what it is. I don't think it would be too far to say he saved the art/sport and brought it to what it is today.
I understand what the Americans are saying about how he ruined the smaller promotions and so on but I don’t think Wrestling would have been as much of an international phenomenon without his influence and promotional abilities. People all around the world probably would never have seen anything like what the old WWF was without a ruthless and driven businessman bringing all the best talent into his organisation and putting everything including the insane promotion on steroids.
When macho man went red and yellow with hogan, all i can think looking back at thos pictures is "was mcdonalds trying to sell Nachos? The mcdonalds nacho man"
I grew up with a guy in small town NH who was all about wrestling.. He built his own ring and got friends together to put on shows. Fast forward to after high school he got a development deal with then WWF. Wrestled in some dark matches and ultimately got hurt. Then addicted to pain pills. When the WWF dropped him for the addiction it's Drs gave him he opened a Wrestling School here. Then was found one morning in his car parked at the school. He had OD'd.. The WWF didn't do the responsible thing with him. They doped him to get what they needed from him. Then dropped him.
Dude, even the biggest Vince haters agreed that Bret was in the wrong. Hell, even BRET has said that he had a share of responsibility for what went down that night.
Any time I hear that accent on a wrestling video, I usually click right off. You can think those 'cutting edge' channels like WhatWrestleLabiaCultre for this. HOw ever, like a couple other channels from across the pond, it wasnt a list of BS so I gave it a shot. And I am glad I did. This is a great video and I subbed., Keep it up and keep far away from top 10s lol
Vince looks down on people who use their environment as a crutch. Talking about opportunity and shit. Vince was brought into a successful business started by his grandfather and his dad. If Vince Sr. hadn't come back into Vince Jr.'s life there's no guarantee he would be where his is now financially. He was basically given a successful business to run with, he was handed opportunity, he benefitted greatly from the work of others. He didn't fight and claw his way out of poverty, he was given a better life.
A lot of wealthy people use the "I pulled myself up the ladder" narrative until you actually look into their background. Then you see they already started several rungs up on everyone else.
@@Slick_Rick859 That’s not necessarily true but it’s not necessarily wrong either. Vince SNR gave Vince the opportunity to run a small promotion in Bangor Main and show his father he could draw a profit. Had he not been successful he would have been kicked out of the wrestling buisness. So he had to graft to make it work with his wife. Vince later took out a huge loan to buy the WWWF from his father. This gamble could have very easily ruined Vince had it not gone his way. But with a smart buisness mind, ability to promote and work 24 hours a day 7 days a week along with some luck he pulled it off. So success wasn’t given to him. He had to earn it. That guy pulled in more hours a week then we would do on a normal work shift.
It's funny about the body building thing. The IFBB doesn't drug test every single one of those body builders that compete is loaded to the gills with steroids. No one naturally gets that big. It's just not a thing that happens
Wow you got so much wrong, conflated so much and missed a ton. Especially when it came to Brett Hart. Literally none of it was right. Brett was offered the 10 years contract 2 years before that when his contract came up, then the WWF was going public so had to clear as much of the bottom line as possible, a huge contract like that was one of the things that had to go. Vince tore up Brett's contract and helped him negotiate with WCW. On the way out the door Brett was still the champion and Shawn made a mistake when they had a conversation about dropping the title. This lead to Brett pulling his creative control clause which he only had in the last 6 months of his contract and said no chance. So the screw job was planned, Brett thinking he is dropping the title on Raw the next night before going to WCW. This is just one thing you got very very wrong, in future I would suggest doing some research.
all sources iv seen say vince told bret to go to wcw as he didn't want to pay for brets contract... vince is the reason most wrestlers die early, he is a monster
Bro, your narration is on point, your information is detailed and in depth. But why do you keep post8ng the same content with different titles & thumbnails? 🤔 I'll keep watching, but ya gotta post "new" content if it's gonna have a new title & thumbnail. Keep up the good work tho. 🤙
Vince is the funniest character of all time in wrestling. It's hard to dislike him when he put himself through the ringer as much as his employees. Dude roided up, took crazy bumps, and humiliated himself countless times
You’re 30yrs old? To think the year you were born I went to my first WWF show at the old Wembley Stadium in 1992 for SummerSlam with my parents and brother I was 10yrs old (11 that October) and I still remember that show for all the legends of the business that were there! Even though Flair & Hennig didn’t wrestle they were still there to interfere in the WWF title match between Savage & Ultimate Warrior and even though my favourite wrestler Hulk Hogan wasn’t there (despite what he says when talking about the Hulkster in Heaven song influence) I got to see my favourite wrestler (until Austin) the Undertaker
My only critique of your videos is the oddly balanced audio. It tends to swing wildly where I'm constantly adjusting my own volume per segment to either not blow my speakers or to turn them up because its whisper quiet.
In my opinion, Hulk Hogan was an amazing character. He wasn't the best, he wasn't the biggest, but he clicked with people worldwide. I don't know if Terry started life selfish or if the fame corrupted him. I don't know if he spent so many years playing a role that the character bleeds into reality, and the over the top performance as Hulk Hogan deluded or diluted the person that is/was Terry Bollea. What I do know, is that the characters of Hulk Hogan was an inspiration to an entire generation of hulkamaniacs. That he was a role model and something to aspire to be. He also encompasses the phrase, never meet your heroes.
I agree He had to lie in the 80s about using steroids back then he lived his baby face hulkamania character admitting that would have tarnished one of the biggest face chars of the 80s and 90s ( pre Hollywood Holman era)
It should always be considered...this guy has spent his ENTIRE adult life playing a fictional character, decades during the kayfabe era. Any human being could have problems with reality with that resume

FACTS
Exactly. Many of us do not have such a father.
@@barbecueman6352or … they can have no returning dad and not inherit a million 🤷🏻
You're hilariously short-sighted. You're saying it isn't common that people who were abused, become abusers later in life? It's how it works, fella...
The abused turn into abusers themselves very often; that's just psychology for you.
honor is fake, fraudulent and something only shown when it benefits you . Anyone who knows the nature of business knows that loyalty has no place in it .
Sex is sex, love is love.
Some ppl cant handle 40 years having sex with the same women
Been wanting Vince to croak for the longest time..he's a POS.
No sleep, roids, abused sexually when he was young, steel chairs to the head a bunch of times and old age. explains a lot
What is crazy is Vincent filed for bankruptcy and was pretty much broke before buying the WWF in the 80s, and he was almost 40 years old. He didn't get rich young, or over night. I dont like a lot about him, but thats amazing. He never gave up and achieved success.
On the death of others blood like over the edge
People can't keep up with him because it's something Vince wants, the WWF/WWE is Vince's dream. He is accomplished in what he wanted to do. I know how hard it is first hand to actually stay down when you've actually got something going that you want to do.
Like over the edge!!!
his dedication is not to the wider world of wrestling, but to wwe, and wwe only.
and even that only seems to extend as far as 'as long as i'm in charge, pal!'
This needs a part 2 now.
At the end I feel Vince has done more good than bad. I will always be grateful for the attitude era it marks my Youth. The memories will never be duplicated or replaced. Thank you Vince, nobody is perfect.

And hes done lots of good deeds throughout his years to individuals and organisations
But laden throughought all of it was a man that ruined lives for no reason whatsoever.

Vince McMahon is a flawed individual, but nobody can deny the impact he made to pro wrestling, he’s a living legend, and his flaws, and his actions prove that he’s only human.
So it was insinuating his mother sexually abused him? That's crazy
I can't wait to see the next chapter of this story.
Even smacks the dudes papers and getting pissed when confronted, so many die young and don't get the care they need, or time off, and aren't even employees

True.
@@Slick_Rick859
That’s not necessarily true but it’s not necessarily wrong either.

Hulk Hogan was and is just a job to Terry. He did his job extremely well but he was far from a mark
