I had booked a load paying $850 for 75 miles delivering straight through, then found another load paying $1150 for 184 miles delivering straight through. During the process a heavy pallet ended up breaking

Should of went at an angle never go straight or a dock plate btw both trucks would of helped sometimes we keep metal thin sheets in the truck give us even surface between trucks
Advantage of self dispatch, a dispatcher wont see this, you would have been on some cheap loads 1.5-1.6 before these came on board. Dispatchers worries about gross, not your overheads. Since they make money on gross. Even if it doesnt make sense to the business. Keep the grind up bro.

@@boxtruckbros9935 Yes bro. Dispatcher doesnt care, they work on gross not what make sense for your business. Great week for you, an example of if you dont try, you dont know. Have been self dispatching for 3 months plus about to start doing for my drivers too. Asides DAT, which other boards do you use . I always get best on DAT but now i want to do for my 2 drivers so am thinking loud lol. Trying to get on Sylectus, many are on it without having 5 trucks . I need that plug too lol. In the meantime, DAT, RTS, CHRobinson saving lives lol
So in a case like this, do you take snap shots and send to sender and receiver to show what happened during transport, so the receiver can see what to expect when the load arrives?

Bro those double stacked pallets (the ones on top), next to the lower pallets , in this case (the loose carpet tiles) will most likely tip over while driving if not strapped individually or placed next to another pallet of the same or near the same height. Shit has happened to me like twice already

This can happen to anyone. The heavy Double stacked pallet caused it though.Dont forget it was put in with forklift/electric jack. I went to tail gate n transfer for a Semi 2 days ago inside same facility. I almost messed it up too, the receiver didnt have dock. I managed and got a very good $$.
