Thank you Thank you! I am buying my first 26ft box truck next month and the insurance rates for OTR is ridiculous. I will do this to save a few grand 💚
@boxtruckbros, I got the $300k liability/$5,000cargo on a cargo van which was only $700 down, and i'm going to upgrade it when I get a bigger truck in 3 months because I know most brokers want the authority to be active for at least 3 months.. because there no point in buying the higher policy when there is no guarantee of consistent loads for the first three months but that insurance premium will most definitely be due every month.
Great video 👌🏼 I’m still getting my paperwork together, only thing left for me to do is insurance and getting the truck, my authority should be active beginning of October 💪🏼
Quicc advise get quotes on insurance first so you can know what u need to pay….get Trucc lined up…apply for authority….get insurance right before you get trucc cuz youll need it to move trucc but make sure its like a week before your authority goes active….
Can this work with drivers to? like if I add only one driver that’s 60 yrs old to reduce the down payment. Then I call and add a 20 yr old, will that charge be pro-rated as well?
Reduce it to $750k Get the lowest medical, Comprehensive, Collision, uninsured/Underinsured Motorists and Bodily Injury/Property Damage etc ( (Reduce everything on your Insurance declaration page) then when you make enough money for the first month adjust it back to where if any accident happen you will be covered and not go out of business. Basically tell your agent to reduce all the rate to its lowest with high deductible because the lower the deductible the more money… Keep at 750K especially when your using your dispatcher MC number and $100K cargo insurance But if your booking load urself will have to change that $750K to $1M later because most broker want $1M and you will see it stated on the carrier package before ur able to haul load for any company .
Man that one tip is worth it’s weight in gold. Thank you so much for sharing this information 💯👍🏾🙏🏾

If you don’t mind me asking. Where did you get your truck from? And how much?
@@MrKelik The price of trucks has increased exponentially. I purchased a freightliner.M2 106 from a private owner off of Facebook Marketplace.
@@MrKelik Do your due diligence and make sure you take a "mechanic" with you to give it a good inspection before you buy.
@@MrKelik And don't be in a rush to get a truck. Be picky and take your time and use a mechanic to look it over.
Ok will do. I am trying not to finance one for $60k, but at this point it am feels as though It is the safest option.
I just like your style too bro 😎 👌 💯 keep up hustle 🤙👍☝

300K for your Authority to go active
You didn’t put out the cost averages. How much will it cost depending on people’s driving records age and credit scores?
You answered your own question 😅
How much was the prorated charge the next month though?
Hoped he answers the question soon
Wat insurance company can I use tho
Whoever is the cheapest. Call around and get quotes.
my downpayment was 3890 😂 on Insurance
What insurance company did you go with ?
Pretty good
But how much it's he's monthly payments the down payment might be low but the monthly rate might kill you
The monthly will be hirer but it allowed you to get into the game and start making money before the huge down payment. Look for th positive!!!
