I just had an agent tell me that Progressive is the only option if you rent the truck and they wanted $12k down and over $30k/year 😧. I'm 49 with a clean driving record and living in FL fwiw.
I promise the universe has been moving for me through this journey….I literally just got off the phone with progressive and they quoted me over 4grand down payment….then I was like RUclips university has the hook up and boom you guys came up i didn’t type anything in the search….. thank you loves!!!!

National General, I just dropped them because they keep their rates high in Texas. So Yeah, an agent is better than cold calling but those tickets? What's up, I want to start driver training courses for those that need to get back right and stay right with no points moving ahead.

Yes we take loads that factor or offer a EFS code so we can get paid in 24 hours that as keep us moving

Talk about the type of rates that you get in a box truck. I am a fleet manager and Dispatch You for a trucking company and we pull dry vans 53 foot. I work off the Load Board and I average between 350 to 5 dollars on regional runs.
Once we get a little more time under our belt, we definitely will. That way we have more data to share.

From the research I did they go by the garage address and it have to be in the state where the business was formed.

Tried to get a quote with national General And they told me they don’t do commercial trucking insurance anymore.
Thats crazy. We went through an actual insurance agent and they shop for the best rate for you. We ended up with National General but I’m sure a good one can find you similar

Hey I’m tryna get everything started and insurance is by far has been the biggest turn away but my wife got a perfect record so i actually able to do that and add me so does she have to be the owner of the company in order cuz I know they ask for the company name and owner

Yes. Insurance is in both of our names but rental is in Amber’s name with me listed as a driver. However, our LLC is a 50/50 partnership so I’m not sure if that plays a role in it as well.

Avoid Quantum Assurance, got a quote through them for progressive, They're hard to get COIs and insurance updates after they took 3k down payment for a 16K Liability policy

So when you apply for dot and MC, how do you go rent a truck and start delivering without those two things? Does the rental come with insurance you can purchase through the renter and use their dot number? I’m a little bit confused still

We went through an actual insurance agent that found us the cheapest rate with National General. $564 for rental with 3 drivers. Went up $300 after we purchased
