  • Hey Guys, in today's video I am getting a golf lesson from my very close friend Sam Goulden, founder and CEO of MNML Golf Bags and world renowned golf instructor. Sam was one of the very first golf instructors on RUclips and quickly gained a strong following because of his no nonsense instruction and golf tips. This quickly grew to having online courses and books. After teaching thousands of golfers over the last 15 years Sam has discovered the real secret to golf, and that we are making the game harder than it really should be. This is Sam's last RUclips video on instruction, and once you learn this you will have the true foundation to a better golf game. For me, it has Transformed everything!

Thanks for everything Sam. You've been my go to instructor for about the past decade. I may have even purchased your ebook before that. I've gotten into the low 70's with the square to square swing and have found so much enjoyment playing the game with your system. How any amateur tries to play the game without keeping the face square is beyond me. It's been a true pleasure, Chad

I have been following Sam on and off for quite a few years. I even bought his eBook. I have wandered from swing method to swing method but yesterday during a practice round I wandered back to the square to square method and immediately felt the exhilaration of solid contact and beautiful ball flight. So after the round I decided to check RUclips for Sam Goulden content and came across your video. It is good to see that through the years Sam has been very consistent in his teaching and method. This is by far the most detailed instruction in one video. I love the explanations with the hulu hoop visual aid. Thank you for the video!

Sam, I’m glad you did a last lesson. I’ve been confused by a lot of golf instruction, but your last lesson cleared up a lot for me. I went out today and shot a 39 on the front nine of my home course, which is no pushover. I feel like I don’t have to keep searching for the basic structure of my a golf swing anymore. I can now just focus on getting better at execution. A lot of great content. Thanks

I've found Sam about 3y ago and decided to take a leap and try his s2s system. I have to say - from a mid-high single digit, I am now at my lowest hcap in my life. Everything just became simpler when you follow his system. If you can understand and follow the 'tour radius' video he has - that is gold.
From LW to 3w, the S2S system works great. I am just having issues with it with the driver and I can't find a way to make it work.
But other than the driver, I would encourage anyone who is on the fence about this to give it a try.

I am so glad you found it. I am not joint this really does work. Especially if you take it one step at a time and work your way up on the clubs until you get really good with one. It’s funny because I am still mastering the wedges but it has become my go to club. Meaning I don’t worry about what to do when I take that shot it literally becomes automatic and it works. Wow! I was doing the A swing with a guy in Newport Coast then I went back to another teacher. I was even tinkering with Gravity Golf ⛳️ but a few days ago I stumbled onto your channel and I really really am benefiting from your instruction.
I’m going to get your e-book and try this with my men’s club this Saturday. Yesterday on a par 5 I smoked my driver about 270 and then hit a six iron, then finished with a gap wedge to about 7 feet and miss my birdie put by an inch or two and parred it.
    I’m hooked!

Very impressive video for S2S. I’m doing the 30 day bootcamp. But the 40/50/60…pitch shots was a mind blown nugget that he never mentioned. I’ll do that as part of my range work as it’s a great gauge.
If you speak to him let him know there are a lot of fans that would be thrilled to see some new content.

I have found it interesting over the last, at least, 10 years of following your videos, that this is the simplest way to play golf. It is a method that can hurt my back, but I have found ways to protect my back. The main thing I have learned is that I can't think of all the little pieces of the swing you describe. I have gotten to the point where I just try to repeat a feel and my focus is on the target. I believe that is all we can do because of the way our brain works. I just want to thank you for the instruction and I also thank you for the tapes we can reference if the whells come off the swing. Those tapes allow us to correct on the range and play again. I am 73 and I play to a 7 handicap. Thanks again.

You’re telling me, Mnml does not just apply to the design style of a bag but also the golf swing. I love the idea of trying to minimize swing thoughts and allowing the body to accomplish a goal instead of trying to fill out a whole checklist during a couple seconds swing action. Great vid

I've been following you for many years and I continue hearing all the reasons we should not use a square to square golf swing. So I have tried to go to the upright 2 plane, swing. Your square to square method works. The 2 plane swing requires almost perfect timing. It down't work as well. I hit the ball about the same distance either way, but I hit way more greens in regulation and I chip much better square to square. I have been told that this is going to ruin my back but it hasn't. So I'll just keep playing it until I am an old man. I am 73 now. I just shot a 38 on 9 holes this morning. It was my second time out this year. Hmmmmm. Go figure.
