By the way, Mtree refuses to install even on a fresh Blender 2.83 installation

Did you download Mtree_28? because this was the only that worked for me in blender 2.83.9

I know it's due to compatibility issues and another RUclipsr mentioned that the creator of the plugin is working on a stand alone version. Hence why he's not updating it for Blender 4.0 and beyond. But I still find it weird what is and isn't seemingly working. I really want to get all I can out of this plugin but don't know what version of blender I should dial it back to. The preset seems absent and the leaf system is a nightmare to get a hold of because it resembles nothing like what any tutorials have. I've tried 4.0, 3.8, and 3.6 and none of them seem to be optimal.
