Thank you for this!!!!! This is the best tutorial on stylize rock in blender. SImple and easy!!! Make more tutorial about stylize stuff like woods, plants, etc. subscribed!!!
nice video! I am practicing these rocks for a project I want to accomplish. I'm having a hard time getting the sharp edges for the flat faces of the rock. I'll keep practicing but I love the style of these rocks!
Thanks! Glad you enjoy the video! Try some supporting edges around and very close to the areas you want to keep flat/sharp. It's kinda similar to what I did for these rocks, so hopefully it'll work 😉
why does you're subdivision look so smooth, my subdivision has the same settings as you'res and yet... all my faces show a grid kind of look, but i do not see this in you'res ?
Hi, head over to the SubDiv Modifier, and see if the "Optimal Display" is checked. If it isn't checked, you'll see the real/actual subdivided geometry created by the Modifier. If it's checked, you'll see far fewer "wireframe" lines in your object. Also, how many levels of SubD are you using - 2 or 3 max for low poly models is usually more than enough. If it's not that, then have you smooth shaded your object? Select your object, RMB click and select "Shade Smooth". Other things to consider (maybe the Scale of your object is different to mine) change the Bevel (Modifier) Width and see if that helps - the Bevel should be fairly tight around the tagged edges. Also, check to see if your Scale is non-uniform. To make sure that it is, select the Object, Press CTRL A to open the Apply menu, choose Apply Scale. I hope those helped! If not, then joining the Beyond Blender Discord server is a good place go so that I (and other members) can better support viewers if they have problems which need more than a reply here on YT. Search for "beyondblender" on Discord. I haven't even mentioned the Discord server before, so it's a little barren there 😊everyone is welcome to join the community.

Such a lovely comment, thank you! I did try some wood, and it follows the same technique. I really should post a video about that 😊
@@beyondblender Nice! Looking forward to it. Your channel is so underrated, this should be 100k+ subs. Keep doing tutorials.
I wish! If I see one more cat video with a million views, I'll scream 😱 🤣
