@@tecnomagvideos IG/social media videos are generally crap. Either tarts flashing their arses or constantly changing clips that are really annoying. Nothing stays on screen long enough to enjoy. Almost like a sped-up slideshow which doesn't give you time to look at anything properly.
Photography might be dead on social media... but its not dead on antisocial media. I love taking photos and printing them for wall pieces in my home. Nothing better than that!
I think social media has over stimulated and over saturated people with imagery and appreciation has been lost for the skill talent and education needed to make quality images. And to that end the attention span of most people is extremely short. Nobody makes prints of their photos. They are all crammed in their phone or stuffed into a hard drive and never see the light of day. It’s quite ironic because manufacturers keep pushing for more and more resolution and yet 99% of people view photos on their stupid phones. I absolutely miss the days of film despite the incredible technology we have access to now. A lot of the magic of photography has been lost for sure.
Just because social media is pushing short form video doesn’t mean photography is dead at all. Just get your head out of the social media thinking space and you’ll realize that.
@@avarmadillo when I was on the market 2 years ago I never considered full frame. APS-C is perfect for video. I went with an X-T3 and never looked back.
Love your vlogs and Nice review. Expect for a few things. Photography is not dead by far. Social media is very warped. 6k at 3:2 give flexibility for choosing different aspect ratios in post. Something that Panasonic already do. There’s no such thing as a full frame look other than sometimes worse rolling shutter. It doesn’t have the worst name of all, ie A7iii, A7iv, a7ivr, a7siii. XH2s is no worse than that
yea the 6k looks like Arri's open gate? just opens out to use more of the sensor. not sure how it's 'weird' :D there is a full frame difference though. it's depth of field. and also tend to have larger photosites meaning they absorb more light and so can perform better in low light situations.
@@jmasked5082 but there no full frame look as such. Depth of field or lack of is also affected by lens choice and aperture. The majority of movie scenes are not shot at f1.4, more likely f4-f5.6 if not smaller. The light sensitivity of the sensors is also minor. If both 35mm and s35 are shot with with comparative depth of field theres no difference. and there’s no substitute for good lighting. Sony also use a heavy amount of baked in noise reduction at high ISO in their A7siii at least
I weep, weep I tell you for the years 1850 through 2005 when there wasn't any social media and thusly photography didn't exist. So many wonderful, moving, compelling moments - undocumented entirely!
I don't think "X-H2 S" is much worse than "EOS R10" or "A7 R IV" or "OM-D E-M1". I feel like Nikon is on the money with just having 2-character names like "Z6" though.

Been watching you for years and normally love your videos. This felt like it was just shoe horned into a family day out. I don’t even shoot fuji but understand this is quite a remarkable update for the fuji brand. Your video doesn’t really portray that or do it justice. I understand you have things to do in life, work life balance is important but is it worth reviewing something if you can’t be invested in doing it properly? This camera could have gone to someone who would have created something really worth watching. Something that added to its release, maybe used some nice anamorphic lenses, shot a little short, whatever… and not just whatever this is. I mean zero offence by it, and feel a bit crap for saying all that but If you look at some of your other review videos for important updates to cameras and was honest with yourself I think you’d agree.
I felt the same way while watching it. He’s not even a traditional Fuji shooter and couldn’t be bothered to remember the cameras name. He also dismissed it because it’s APSC as if that automatically means it’s a subpar camera. He would have only had a day or 2 to use the camera so I wouldn’t take this video as a review to base a purchase decision on.
He's not a Fuji user and it shows... he gave more of an overview on the camera rather than a proper review. Forgetting the name of the camera, which isn't even that hard, gave it a dismissive vibe. There are other channels that will surely offer a better review for this camera.
Exactly the point ! the colors this camera had and all those 4k120 or what not couldve been used to create amazing b rolls or short film kinda stuff but he didnt do justice with that he just got paid for the review and got rid of it idk

@@th1649 Same here, always favored Fuji’s classic designs and colors. Its settle, but I’ve always had a better experience shooting low light with full-frame and you just get that extra “umph” especially when Phone camera are getting closer.
@Spencer Patton seems you are really lacking of some knowledge. Compare dynamic range of the Canon Rp sensor vs Fujifiilm X-T4 and you will be surprised.
I’m so excited about this camera. As a xt2 and xh1 user this will be a huge upgrade for me. Such a huge improvement in autofocus from even the xt4 it seems. Up there with Sony and canon finally 😁
Yeah same here. Been using the xh1 and xt2 professionally for a while and was really looking forward to a solid upgrade. I'll hold off until there are production model reviews though, that's when you really know if it's good or not!

Anybody else actually not think that the stabilization was that great? The shot at 1:56 was really jittery. Also I noticed quite a few wobbles, look at the buildings at 4:08 and how It looks like it's searching for focus as well
@@SwompyGaming I love it too. I only have the 18-55mm “kit lens” with it so far but I enjoy the entire system overall. I mainly use it as my walkaround camera when I don’t want to carry the EOS R around.

Loved this overview! I’m about to make a jump into buying my first camera for wedding videography (I’ve previously just used my companies Sony A7III). I’ve been thinking about the Sony A7IV but now this one seems like a good option too. Any thoughts on deciding between the two for doing wedding videography?
After experience with both Fuji and Sony, I stick with Fuji. Incredible system, incredible quality with more “bang for buck.” The 40mp XH2 is also coming soon, so you could wait for that, but the XH2s is just incredible, along with fuji’s firmware updates over time.
Did you use a JPG receipt on the first indoor scenes with your son (for me it looks like teal orange) or is this colour grading? If JpG receipt, which settings? Thanks for the nice video.
For 2500 bucks lmao you could get a FF or a used RED if videography is your main thing. I think this should’ve been no more than 2000. Now I’m wondering what the X-H2R is gonna cost because leaks were saying it would be less than 2500 but at 40MP and 8K… we’ll see. Debating upgrading my X-T4.

I’m guessing Fuji fixed the ‘zoom while recording’ issue? On my X-T4 if I zoom while it’s filming the light flickers. Did you try zooming while the camera records?
The body being larger than the tiny Sony FF cameras is a plus for me. The ergonomics on the X-H1 absolutely destroy anything Sony makes. I think sometimes we conflate the idea of smaller sensor with smaller body. But the H2S isn't about being a pocket camera, completely different tool than the XPro.
I really hope they announcement something to do with a X100VI, I really want an upgrade to that…. Would buy it instantly, I don’t wanna spend money on a Leica Q2, or a 2.5yr old x100V
See quite a lot of IBIS wobble and I see that this has that random jump to the background for a split second then back to the subject autofocus issue all other Fuji's have. Can't tell if it's as bad but it definitely did it a few times. Did they finally add touch to focus during video?

Fuji hitting it big in my opinion with this! It checks so many boxes especially for video! And fuji colours are just exquisite.
They've knocked it out of the park, for sure. APS-C IMO, superior for video shooting.

The 6.2K 3:2 is great for shooting for both 16x9 and vertical social media. And it's great for photos from videos.

I thought the imagine quality pretty similar to the Blackmagic Pocket 4k. The texture and colors. Thats amazing.

I’ve only shot on Fujifilm starting with the X-T30 and now the X-T4 and i feel like this camera is a step up with the 4K 120fps!
How did you like the X-T30? That's the Fuji I currently have but rarely see people owning this camera.

Oh the reason this is named the xh2S is because fuji is making a second xh2. One with a 26mp sensor and one with a 40mp sensor.

Don’t expect modern auto-focus out of old outdated lenses. You need linear motor lenses to take advantage of what these new cameras can do focus wise.

That's a 10 millimeter lens. It's much worse on the X-T4.
