    Have you had any experience installing on a 2.3 manual? I heard the routing into the cab is different since there's a clutch pedal.

    How does this compare to the GOAT Sport mode? Would it make Sport mode even faster? I 'think' all but Badlands and Wildtrack have Sport Mode. It makes a HUGE difference over the normal drive mode.

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  2 года назад +1

      The JB4 device will enhance the vehicles performance in all modes. Nothing actually changes as far as what the modes do. Just better power/tq and performance over stock for each mode.

      Indeed we do. 50hp and 70lbs of TQ increase on the 2.3L with MAP 5. We posted all of the results on Bronco6G as well as on our site. Feel free to give us a shout if you have any other questions or need assistance placing an order.
      Thanks!

    Have added an aftermarket air intake yet? If so, what kind of numbers are you seeing with both?

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  2 года назад

      We installed the Roush cold air intake on our first edition and then swapped it out for the Whipple one once we did the Whipple state 1 upgrade kit (tune, intercooler, intake). Personally I don't believe the intake is worth much by itself if anything. However on vehicles that are tuned and making more than stock boost levels the aftermarket intake most likely shines a little better since it's less restrictive than the stock one.

  • @DanielGrows

    I don’t see any reason to use a piggyback when you can flash the ecu.

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  2 года назад +3

      Only Whipple has the capability of flashing the Bronco at the moment. It's a great cal and has the ability to change shift points, remove the top speed limiter, delete the auto start/stop feature and gives you the ability to change for tire/gear ratio changes.
      The only thing that people dislike about it is that once flashed the stock file is not saved on the Tomahawk device. So the Bronco can't be flashed back to stock by anyone other than the dealer. The concern for most is warranty.
      The JB4 isn't a flash and is plug and play so it can be installed and removed at any point without any trace on the PCM.
      You also have 5 maps and the ability to change them on the fly with a trick phone app. You can easily datalog with your phone too.
      Hope that explains why people choose to go with the JB4 instead of the full flash from Whipple.

  • @NoNo_Notlikethat
    @NoNo_Notlikethat 2 года назад +5

    I was all for it, until they wanna charge for the app too. You already have to pay $140 extra for the Bluetooth phone connectivity. Charging an extra $28 is just dumb.

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  2 года назад +2

      From my personal experience it's worth every penny.

    • @BurgerMotorsports
      @BurgerMotorsports 2 года назад +4

      The JB4 mobile adapter and app is $179 split between the two. It's done this way for customers who have multiple JB4 systems so they only need to pay for the app once and can then use it on all future models.

    So JB4 or whipple tuning ?

    • @Lethalcamp
      @Lethalcamp  2 года назад +1

      Both are awesome and have seen very similar results. Although, the JB4 is limited to only horsepower and torque increases, where the Whipple has Auto Start-Stop disable, Raises the Speed Limiter, changes transmission shift points, and overall is a more in depth tune. I personally think the Whipple is well worth it, as there's a definite difference in pickup and the shift points, as well as the few other features it provides over the JB4.

    • @BurgerMotorsports
      @BurgerMotorsports 2 года назад +5

      You can do a few things with flash maps that you can't with the JB4 like remove the speed limiter but remember any flash tune will also permanently flag the vehicle, while the JB4 can always be removed without a trace. The JB4 is also CARB approved for F150 models and hopefully Bronco models soon. JB4 also has excellent resale value and can be removed to transfer to your next vehicle as well.

    • @Lethalcamp

      The JB4 has select maps (1-3) that can be run without mixing in E85. However, it is certainly recommended to use at a bare minimum 91 or 93 octane if available.

  • @user-yq6ov6ow7l
    @user-yq6ov6ow7l 2 года назад +4

    Wow that’s a pathetic increase. (Not saying it’s the fault of the tuner as they are probably working within their parameters)
    Bronco is so i unbelievably slow compared to what it should do if you factor in the motor it has and the weight of the vehicle.
    I’m thinking that this tune doesn’t dive deep enough and you really need full ecu and tcu access. Seems like it launches really weak which is likely torque management.
    Makes no sense that the f150 with the same motor is way faster. f150 with a tune is a whopping 2 seconds faster 0-60 with the same exact motor. F150 is also a much larger vehicle even though they weigh about the same.
