I love that it hasn't even come out, and they already have several videos disassembling the car.
Talks about the brand's confidence
@@elchucofried5683 do they?
I mean, how could they have done this before covid?
Make live events where they dismantle the truck?
@@elchucofried5683 How is this impacted by Covid? Lol. You think they break down the vehicle for you at the dealership in non covid conditions?
@@elchucofried5683 They don't have to do anything because of covid. They are building the hype train. Getting people ready to spend money on upgrades.
But still a Ford 🥴
@@johndoyle3232 It would be worse if it was a Jeep.
Ford went the extra mile with actually envisioning how the switches will be used and running the wire in the build. It is like another Easter egg! Awesome video!
Great to see an auto maker looking forward to help make things easier for us . Just one note about drilling holes in the vehicle . Please use some paint to prevent rust around the hole and always put a rubber grommet in the hole to protect the wire . I know you edited and skipped to preserve time but just stating for those that do it themselves .
That is great info. Thanks for the reminders.
Seems like Ford thought this out pretty good! Can't wait to get my Badlands!

BN, I have to hand it to you guys as you're really stepping up your game with informative videos. The aux switches and their connections was a major question many of us had and you guys did a great job covering the basics, thanks!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it, we try and get better with each video haha. Thanks for watching :)
@@TheBroncoNation Really appreciate the video. It would be nice to see how many circuit wires go where. Based on the information given, it is handy, but many are wondering about planning their accessories properly with circuit wire information. From what I watched, 6 aux switches go into the junction area under the hood, but it is unclear how many leave that area truly. It makes sense that the front hood is 1. Possibly 2 that travel to the glove box, but it is also mentioned that the light bar area is one, but your video shows it really doesnt originate from under the hood area, but relayed through a connection in the glove box. Also the rear accessed circuit also doesnt come from the hood, it relays through the glove box. This seems to indicate from at least knowledge gained in the video, there are only at minimum 3 exiting circuits that leave the hood area to elsewhere in the vehicle. I am going to wager that a 4th circuit exits to locations for the wheel pod lights option (potentially multiple wires for their separate vehicle underbody locations), but this is what I am asking about. If the next video update can go over how many wires and circuits go off to where, that would be phenomenal! Thank you again! BroncoNation member btw.
I have since found another page on the site going over a bit more information, good work, but if this could be covered as well, fantastic!
@@TheBroncoNation it would be awesome if you guys could get us some pictures of that black Sasquatch with the newer, darker mic hard top so we can see the contrast.
I was so glad I listened to the dealer representative and added these switches.
You can always add other options to your order up until a VIN gets assigned, about 2 weeks before it is built.
@@samuelwilliams8560 seriously?! Thank you. Just contact the dealer, right?
@@alejandroz5730 - Absolutely. The dealer will be able to change your order in the Web Based Dealer Order (WBDO) system until a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) gets assigned, which is when the order gets locked down about two weeks before it is built.
what do YOU use the aux switches for?
This is actually super cool, Ive never seen a company go as far as pre running the wires for you, to the point you just have to throw it on real quick. That's actually pretty cool. Qudos for that one.
This is an amazing feature... Can't wait to see the accessories in action!
Genius! This is one of only two options I'm getting on my Bronco. Can't wait to get stuff wired up! Great video by the Bronco Nation team! Thanks!!!
Brilliant well done, having the switches and the wiring are already ran is a huge benefit to owners and the shops doing the installations.
Thank you for paying attention to the market and what people need this is a new concept for whoever owns Jeep these days your guess is as good as mine but maybe they'll actually start to pay attention to what people actually use these vehicles for.
Again well done Bronco team!
Thanks Bn team appreciate the effort to bring us these videos.
Great video that I’ve now watched a couple times while installing A pillar lights and most recently a light bar! Thanks for this!
this is the exact video I was looking for. I have a base sas with Aux switches. wanted to see how I can DYI lights. this makes my install super easy. keep the videos coming. just subscribed.
Great job, Jon!
Cool!! I hope the manual will explain how to connect these wires :) but I am confident there will be more DIY videos regarding these switches!
I have no specific plans to wire-up anything right now, but these switches are such a reasonable price it seems downright dumb not to get them. Like he said, the clean installation in the cabin and the total ease of not having to run a single wire is worth it.
Thats great info. Add and build whenever you want. Can’t wait to get my Black Diamond. Comes with the switches 😃
Such an awesome accessory!🙌
Excellent video, well thought out strategy FMC
Nice. Can't wait for my OB.
Awesome video!!!
Excelente recomendación now I know more to my vehicle Bronco safe me time to understand or call Ford to explain to me lol continue make videos like that in Bronco 🤟🙏
Super helpful video, thank you!
This was my number one pick in options
Very nice video, thanks for sharing👍🏿
I got a base with the aux switch’s Sasquatch can’t wait!!!
BaseSquatch walk-around coming soon!
Just curious if you or other people are getting a build date yet?
@@Stu_Art nothing yet here
@@Stu_Art I reserved mine like 3 or 4 days after they started taking reservations
This is genius thank you for sharing.
I’m so ready to get my Wildtrak. It’s going to MaxliderBros first, then home. Those switches will be put to good use.
Base looks better then all the others I’ve seen 😂😂
Show us the hitch mounted bike rack options on the 2 door! I want to know if you can still fully open the tailgate after swinging or tilting the rack out of the way. Thanks.
Good thing I added the switches on my Bronco
Holy shit thats a basesquatch. Thats my exact car 😍
I think those switches are a great 👍
This car just seems to get better and better! Is there a space for a second battery?
This was good but surely there has to be a wiring chart that shows what to connect to what? It looked more like you just knew from experience but I'm left not knowing where to start. lol I just want to connect some fog lights. I got the general process until it comes to finding the right wire back by the firewall.
no getting the auxiliary switches for me but still glad to watch :)
Why not?
Looking forward to start using this on my Wildtrak
I love the bronco
No cap this was a great video. I don’t even own a Bronco 😆🤣
🔥🔥🔥🔥
They really did think of everything!
hope my two door base arrives soon!!🤙🤙🤙
Thank you
Dam that's awesome
I was at the Ford dealership today and asked if I could add those switches to my Big Bend, as well as whether my Bronco (or all Broncos were wired for those and other things). I was told no to the wiring. My question is… do you know if I can add those switches if they weren’t on my Bronco in the first place and if all Broncos have the wires ran.
Man that is awesome! The only problem I see are things that are high amps. What gauge are the pre installed wires?
Any idea if the pod light option will utilize the aux switches? I ordered both options
YEAHHHH 🇺🇸
How do you get a wire across the top of the windshield? I want pod lights like what you were showing in the video above the windshield.
Waiting on my Badlands velocity blue with 2.7l.
Where can I purchase the auxiliary switches and are they pre wired even if switches not there ?
What is the gauge going to the back? It would be nice if it was a 10 so that you could power a fridge without getting a hardwiring kit.
For what it's worth, some light bars on the market are easy enough and don't require drilling and all this extra work. F150leds offers a 40-in light bar was pretty simple mounting and wiring utilizing the AUX switches. Although the brackets that come with it are garbage and don't allow the plastic painted accessory covers to close flush with the vehicle, I had to purchase separately a different set of brackets designed for use without the plastic covers. Everything worked out fine.
I need to go back and add these to my Big Bend. Think I have till April 8th correct?
I imagine on the ‘23 m.y. and up they’ll have a rubber plug for the windshield frame access.
What does key in the on position mean when it's push button? 😂
What about water entering that hole after you drilled for the wiring? What do you recommend to prevent a potential leak from occuring?
Let’s go
Are the wires already pre run on the Branco, if so can you just buy the part for $200 and DYI install. If not then I guess I’ll add the switches if they need to run the wires throughout?
I don't want to give up my sunglasses holder on my Big Bend! 😂
How come some of them seem like different heights even with the sasquatch package?
Needless to say that if you hook it up with the switches that is going to have to stay that way. My question is drilling a hole will it still be under warranty?
Im ready to see all the "Expert" wiring jobs (wire nuts and Scotch Locks) ill have to cut out and repair at my dealership.
So are these switches plug (splice) and play? Or would need to add relays to each switch?
Will the front ones reach the bumper to put fog lights in on a base?
Ford, make the physical switches swappable then sell “light bar” “ditch lights” “camp lights” switches.
Please. I don't want to have to remember that AUX3 goes to my onboard air. I also don't want a cheesy printed label next to the switch. Please let me replace them with customized switches based on use case.
@@kill-nine Would be best to have all blank switches and then a sheet of labels with the lettering transparent to allow light to shine through. The cost to make and stock a bunch of pre-labeled switches would make them too expensive to buy stand-alone. I wouldn't pay $20 each for a custom-labeled switch, but that's what it would end up costing us.
I’m looking to wire up amps to rear quarter panel which wire do I use in front to get power back in rear quarter ???
So to get this straight... Will my base that I did NOT build with the switches still have the wiring run through the vehicle? So if I wanted to get the OEM switches it would be a simple wiring job? What I'm asking is the wiring run ONLY if you ordered the switches at build time?
Bit more involved than I was hoping for, but still easily doable. Looks like I'll be showing my friends that are also getting these how to play with wiring! Should be fun!
If I'm not mistaken, when I ordered my Bronco this Aux option was like $150! I would have paid $500 for this luxury.
Is there a ford wiring diagram for these switches?
Would these Aux Switches work well for something like a dual-channel, front and rear, dash cam? I noticed you said the switches only work when the key is in the on position. So does this mean that a dash cam with an always-on requirement for parking sense mode would not work for these switches?
The switches only have power when the key is in the run position.
That's great that a manufacture would include wired switches. Is there a color guide as far as matching up switches to the distribution box?
One important note... the power supply wire gauge is WAY TOO SMALL to supply the proper amperage to a light bar. That wire would melt if the fuse did not blow first causing a potential problem. So typically you would have to run a larger gauge wire to supply enough power to the light bar. The switch should control the relay and from that relay, a heavier gauge wire to the lamp.
I highly suggest further research or let a professional installer handle the install. This video shows cool features but can be mis-leading.
Actually. Depending on which switch you use, the amperage is plenty. The aux 1 switch can go up to 30amps. 2 and 3 can do 15A. While 4,5,6 can do 10A
The question I have, is my outer banks advanced has a freaking sunglasses holder, if I remove that is the harness for the switches still up there?
So given that everything is 12 volt, do you know what the amperage is for each switch?
I know it's listed for the trucks here to give you an idea, I'm sure it'll be clearly listed somewhere before the Broncos come out www.blueovaltrucks.com/tech-articles/2017-and-newer-ford-super-duty-aux-upfitter-switches/
Can I put a 42-inch screen in the back row and turn it on without an external power source?
do you guys sell the aux switch to install ? i can’t seem to find it, if you can send me the link to order
So if you want fog lights white to be Aux 3, and fog lights amber to be Aux 4, what do you do?
Can I add the switches if I did get on my bronco?
That's convenient make hybrid versionnn
So I can only use 1 aux switch in the back? I have a light bar that I want to use multiple switches for
Some of the wires are non-powered, so are they just used as a bridge?
I want to see one with a plow like the original
Are those the sasquash wheels or no?
What’s the lamp you used on this vehicle called?
those wires don't look nearly beefy enough for heavy amp loads - for example, a winch or air compressor?
Wires look pretty thin. That rear wire will not support a fridge. I had to run 10AWG for mine or it got flaky on compressor startup.
These are the upfitter switches found in the Ford Raptor
My ford dealer still hasn't contacted me about my bronco reservation. Have you guys heard anything about why that may be, or may know what I should do?
I would reach out, I believe March 15th is the cutoff to hold your original place in line based on your initial reservation date.
I didn't hear from mine when it was possible to convert my reservation to an order either. When I read that posters on Bronco6G had ordered, I contacted my dealer via email and converted to an order in an hour. The 19th is coming soon, contact your dealer!
I have a base with the aux switches. It just seemed like a terrible idea not to add them for the meager cost. It was only a few hundred dollars and opens up new worlds for doing mods. If I never use them they still add to resale more than what they cost. If you're getting a base, add the aux switches. Thank me later.
By base Bronco, I assume he meant, with Sasquatch?
Could you modify the engine?
Hmm... this car is more technical than I thought it would be. I thought there would be power outlets or something damn electric wiring. That's something I've never done before.
Didn’t your video say “ask questions in the comments?” Did I mishear that? Is ANYONE answering questions? The wire gauge/amp issue is HUGE. When will someone address these issues?
Why is the wire for the back not run all the way to the relay panel? From what I can tell, to use the wire in the back, you will not be able to use the windshield wire? A bit confusing. 6 switches, but only 5 circuits?
Yea this video confused me more then it educated me
What are the switches for?
So you just leave a hole there? no grommet or anything?
Did I miss how you actually connected the other wires?
This vehicle sure looks bad ass, let’s hope the engine and transmission are bad ass too! Because everyone knows about Jeeps reliability issues. Ford let’s show the world that America still can make the best reliable vehicles in the world!!!
Six switches and five circuits??? What am i missing?
