Sorry I was gone for so long! Ive been tied up filming season 2 of car issues, but at least there’s new Car Trek to watch! Am I being too hard on the horrible Bronco rollout?
Nope lol
Yes. The fail is what you buy
If it’s as capable as they say then yes if it isn’t then no , I like the way it looks
I have to admit you were a bit hard. For example, look at the location of the oil filter canister. It isn't buried deep inside the engine bay! You can easily reach it! 😁
I cried for two days after filming…..

Came here to say this. Nailed it...
I mean yeah but DAMN! 😂 this didn't even look like it had an engine just a rats nest under the hood 😂😂😂

A removable cover would be smart, but an engine that you can reach in and see what's going on isn't so bad either
I agree although they really could have cleaned up that rats nest a little. For some reason, the engine reminds me of power lines in São Paulo.
CAN you see what's going on?
i don't see anthing wrong with the look under the hood...
Its better without the cover. They should be designed without having everything hidden by some cheap plastic cover that you have to take off and put back on every time you do work. You'll be thankful for that "mess" of easy to access stuff when you go to work on it if you decide to, I'll take it any day over everything hidden in the back making it a massive pain to do anything with.
@@dcgregorya5434 I agree that a cover to hide the mess is a bad idea, but I wouldn't call that easy to access.
The wires, tubes, and hoses should be routed carefully, not splayed into a net around the engine.
For what it's worth, that engine bay actually looks really functional. With the bus plugs up high on the firewall and so many of pipes, hoses, sensors and other stuff up high, I bet working on the auxiliary systems is pretty easy, and dropping the engine relatively easy to get to the rest. This isn't 1960s huge engine bay and no engine management/emisions level of easy. But for what cars are today, it looks like it was engineered to be more mechanic friendly than you normally see on modern cars.
Does Hoovie work on his own car?
If I had to guess, looking at his hands, I'd say probably not generally.
I wonder if it's direct injection only with the turbos that won't last. Plus lots of wires & connections to corrode & fail or moisture issues. Plus with all modern vehicles, all the electrical parts will go bad like swollen/dead capacitors, dead touchscreens,etc...I wonder how many sensors it uses? If it's a fiber optic wire harness or not.
@@michaelbrinks8089 turbos not lasting, along with some of the other issues have mostly been weeded out now. The ecoboosts went under some significant changes in the last few years.
As for the rest.... nothing lasts forever, and Ford certainly isn't any exception one way or the other. Battery terminals, connectors, and capacitors still corroded in 70s the same as they do today. You can complain about it, but people like their gadgets. Its gonna be harder to sell 60s and 70s technology to someone looking to buy a new car today. The market is what it is.

From what I heard, with Ford and the “chip shortage” they cancelled their orders with semiconductor mfgs at the start of COVID. This put them “at the end of the line” for orders. I know this impacted the E-Mustang and I had heard it also impacted the Bronco. So, sorta Ford’s problem.
The 2.7l has actually proven to be one of Ford's most reliable engines. Tons of power as well. And plenty of people with over 200k miles on them without a single issue. Yes I do think this motor will last to 300k if maintained properly.

The plumbing nightmare that is the engine will make this bronco as popular as a Yugo when things start to fail.
Or every BMW since 98 or so.
MANY Fords use fake exhaust sound. I'd be more surprised if the Bronco did not, that if it does.
Ford started using fake exhaust noises with the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost
That engine bay looks awful to work on
I get why they do it, but its just plain old dishonest. Its kinda sad. Why not just let it be the best version of what it is?
My parents have made a very poor financial decision pre-ordering one of these things. We don’t even have a build date for the thing. And to top it all off, they don’t plan on doing any off-roading in it
HOOVIE...
The reason the engineers left the engine covers off is to prevent excess engine HEAT SOAK. These trucks have high horspower small displacement engines. That's fine for a drag strip but terrible for desert running. This is why the Bronco Raptor has a heat extraction hood. IMO all Broncos should have those hoods. If mine ever gets in I will be installing one.
Bang and Olufsen is Danish but yeah they're mostly on German cars, I get Hoovie's confusion.
Didn't know that, thanks for the info
And also, it’s meant to be pronounced as ‘Bung’
When people think they know. He thinks he's fancier than he is, pretentious chump.
There an option on almost all of Fords line up.
@@PrioCaptSend In Danish it's pronounced Bang and not Bung.
Perfect example of the reason why actual car people never buy first year models
Some first year models become collector items over the years and sell for big bucks.
@@robertmorin6495 🤣🤣🤣 not this new Bronco. Move over Range Rover there's a new king of the hill for the prestigious most unreliable vehicle award.
Exactly, I bought the last year of the 2nd gen frontier that had the 4.0 manual trans... after that they dropped the manual tranny
BINGO!
Cough cough 3rd gen tacoma. Just got my 22 trd off road😉 4th gen coming out couple years so it's end of gen more or less, planning to keep it forever
I attempted to buy a Bronco in May 2022. My local dealer had a couple but they had a $20,000 up charge on them and Ford was not taking orders for new ones. I love the Bronco but I couldn’t do the up charge. I bought a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Ecodiesel and I love it. You are right it doesn’t ride as well as the Bronco but after a couple of months ownership I wouldn’t trade my Jeep for the Bronco.
Last November’s I got a Cyber Orange Badlands Sasquatch hardtop with lux package and modular bumper.. on a cancelled order. The trick to getting a Bronco is having a dealer that likes you 😂✌🏻
Hoovie sounds salty af like he ordered one and Ford wouldn't expedite his order 🤣
The Ford Salesman: "See all this wiring above the engine? The engineers kept all the components as high off the ground as possible, giving you the assurance to off-road, wading through deep puddles or mud that would stop other drivers."
That and "you can easily work on it yourself"
Lol
Would have fooled me
This is actually a legit comment. I know you meant it in satire but realistically it’s a nice touch.
Hoovie you did an admirable job of stifling your howling laughter when this gentleman told you why he was passing up a 30 grand profit to drive this TUV (TURD Utility Vehicle). 🤓
Bro that guy who owns it is funny as fuck. I love his dry humor and his subtle jokes hahah
The engine bay looks like my homework and Tylers reaction is that of my teacher 😅
When the teacher says "show your work."
It reminded me I haven't had Spaghetti in a while
That's pretty funny
Almost as complicated as the steering wheel buttons😂😂😂😂
@@Zzus321 lol
The most polite put down from start to finish of a mans dream car ever. Hilarious.
I feel like most of the hate is on Ford and not so much on the Bronco
Yesh
Well things have gotten worse since you posted this video. I reserved 10/02/20, and my first order was 03/03/21. Second order was Nov. 21. Ford then changed their allocation formula to favor the mega dealers. I ordered at a small town dealer that has a bunch of orders, and now doesn't have enough monthly allocations to get those orders delivered in a timely manner. Because of Fords change my Bronco build date that was first expected to be around late summer/early fall of '22 is now a possible '24 date. And that's if I'm lucky. With the supply issues, and the chip shortage (that's not Fords fault) I will have been waiting over 3 years to get my order filled. And, that I blame all on Jim Farley, and Ford.
The orange paint will make it easy to spot when it's parked on the side of the road after the engine blows up.
I'd take the $30k profit in a heartbeat!
YES, especially on a first year production vehicle.
No kiddin'! Dumbass of the year for attention SMH. Take advantage of the moron offering piss away money. Get another when they work the bugs out. This thing will be in the shop more often than on the road.
It's funny the amount of people say "I'm no 1 percenter" then say shit like that.
He definitely seems like the well-off "1 percenter" that he acknowledged sounding like at 14:04, although even with the type of disposable income that he likely has and as cool as this truck is, I still wouldn't turn down a $30k profit on a first-year-of-production FORD lol.
@@Mashmarriner69 right
In two years it will be worth $30k so by passing up the $30k profit now, Rob is really giving up over $50k to keep it.
He is nuts
2 years you will still have to wait months to get one. Chip shortages
@@claydog6422 maybe. Nobody has a crystal ball to know what’s going to happen in two years. I do know that there are a lot of vehicles I like on the market and I would rather have the money. Also in two years all the people that had to be the first to have will be out of the market and on to next new thing.
@@patrick2912 it’s not easy to build a factory for chips, especially the high end ones. There is one company on the this planet who can make 3nm chips, the good news is chips in vehicle don’t have to be so high end
look at wrangler rubicon depreciation, I don't think the guy will get hosed that badly
How’s there not a cover. It’s the hood. 😝 placed my order October 2021 and it’s in route for delivery estimated at June 2022. Badlands hardtop as well. 2.7 liter lux package. No Sasquatch. Currently driving a jeep gladiator. Excited to experience the differences.
Open the Bronco's hood: "Oh no, VADER, put that helmet back on NOW!
Hoovie don’t complain about the lack of engine cover, that’s a good thing!!!
If it was even semi presentable under there it would be fine but it looks like they threw a tangled heap of plastic wires and hoses on top of an engine
I’m confused about this video it seems like the guy is forcing the owner to hate his bronco when he clearly loves it.
Totally agree hoovie comes off as jealous I know he could buy one himself but he still comes off jealous
He was seriously being a dick
He loves the attention not the car. New Bronco is all hype same as the Gladiator.
As always Hoovie ROCKS! Thanks for your time Dude!
Deep down, Bro wants a Bronco badly 😂
As someone who deals with supply chain logistics right now as my day job, Im impressed they're even moving as many as they are.
They aren't moving any.....
Yup it's a complete disaster. The other day I tried to order an electronic component and got an estimated delivery of mid 2024!
There's a LOT of supply chain issues everywhere due to the USA labor shortage, too many people receiving government checks, and Covid. It takes three months to get some back ordered Honda Civic and Accord parts.
That roof issue reminds me of the Hummer H3 that I had. The plastic trim was cracked where the roof met the A pillar the day I picked it up. They placed an order for a new one. During one of my monthly trips to the service department I was told that it was a known issue and they were on backorder. I had it for 2 years and they never got a replacement piece. Between that, the service 4WD light that constantly came on, the clunky front end, buzzy brake pump, crappy ABS, rattling skid plates, etc., I couldn't wait to give it back to GM. That was the last UAW turd I ever had.
Your description is spot on 🤣
I brought a H3 and apart from the servicing center here in middle east it was a very good offroad vehicle.
Had same issue with the plastics on pilla but after i attended a service center and the guy behind me explained he had that issue. After i picked up the car i had that issue for first time! So all the service center did was swap our parts over! Sometimes i miss my H3 offroad it was a very good 4x4. I did 120k kms in 3 yrs as soon as warenty ran out i sold it. I also had a gearbox break because service centet never did any worthy maintenance from new and they wanted 5k OMR to fix it. It was under warrenty so i was in a stale mate with them for almost 6months to get it fixed!
I bought a 2003 Hummer H2 less than a year old had about 35,000 miles on it.
Drive it until a couple years ago with almost no issues except dash speedo went out and had to replace the servo motors and had to replace rusting out brake lines a few years ago.
Got about 180,000 on him now. Best truck I ever had and I did some insane off roading with it. I always thought the H3 was for girls. A watered down version.
Still have my 1st vehicle 1977 F100 Ranger built, parked it in 2009. Great truck!
@@Starbuckin every time someone brings a bummer on a trail ride. We have to fix it at least once on the ride
Hate to tell you this bud, but any of the fake hummers, including the h2, are for soccer moms and wannabe gangstas.
"Raised fenders is weird.. kind of like a 50's car...." Ahh how about kind of like a '66 - '77 Bronco?
