Thankyou Neil. From the very first moment I heard your voice I couldn't stop listening to your music. 23 years after listening to Harvest for the 1st time from beginning to end I reckon everything you have made never gets old, only better and better. You help me through the tough times and I cry tears of joy and get tingles and goosebumps when I listen to your songs. You will always be my favourite singer/ songwriter/ guitarist. I hope and pray all is well with you and your loved ones. God willing, God bless.
I suffer from Hero worship. Neil Young has dealt with polio, type 1 diabetes, epilepsy, back surgery, brain aneurysm surgery. Yet he has created and continues to create the music of my life. He has done this with courage of conviction and tireless passion for his music. I have no doubt he is a flawed hero, I have no doubt he wrestles with his own demons. But when I hear his music, I am carried away to another world and I feel renewed. He has saved my life. I am grateful for Neil Young.
Thank you! These are exactly my thoughts, I heard the song first when my father got cancer at the end of the 90s, and it brought me to the point to learn guitar myself. Until today I love this song. My two parents are dead now, I myself got an organ transplantation in 2012 (kidney & pancreas) and I live, but I still hear it for the maybe 500th time and get thrilled, because it´s the best, and Neil, whom I saw 2 times live, ist the one and only. He's about feelings and music, not about fame. Rare thing today. I adore him in every way. Thank you for your comment :-)
I spent 2 weeks camping on Blue River in Tishamingo Ok listening to Rust Never Sleeps after I graduated college in 83. A Pivotal moment in my life . Catching trout / tent camping / listening to Neil !
How the fuck does Neil Young write such consistently great songs during his entire career? when 99% of rock musicians seem to burn out creatively in their 30's. Fuck, Neil young was 50 years old when he wrote and recorded this song, the guy is damn gifted.
This song saved my life .... one of those horrible nights .... and that shitty six in the morning when you're too tired and fucked up to care anymore ... I called this up and it got me through .....
43 years old here - My Dad brought me a box of mixed tapes today he found belonged to me from when I was 13. On side A was this masterpiece, and proceeding it, me calling in to a radio station, requesting it, and winning an Airwalk t shirt. It was 30 years ago when my parent broke up when I made that mixed tape, and possibly the first NY song I had heard. Its remained my favourite NY song all these years. I am 43 now, and am facing many life changes. Bad luck follows me. Health, loss, hurt, etc. I like to think that mixed tape from 30 years ago ended up in my hands today to give me strength from that song again as it did when I was 13. This will always remain an anthem for this gal - 13, 43, doesnt matter. This song is a reason I am alive today. Change my mind. ;)
43. Holy cow. Nobody's 43. All life is suffering. First noble Truth. Wait until your 78 winters. When every joint in your body is pain and my body has become a torture chamber. Grin and bear it friend 😢
Woah, what a great performance, rediscovering Neil, old time hippy of 74 years, band is super strong. His guitar playing is just excessively brilliant....
Honestly. I can't imagine my life without Neil's music in it all these years ..... It just resonates a peaceful rhythm in my soul.. Thanks Neil. Keep Rockin in the Free World!!!!!!!✌💗
I wonder where Neil goes - when the song takes over his body - and the energy flows through him. Stevie Nicks once said she sometimes finds herself on the ceiling looking down at the crowd through an astral projection - thus the silver chain. Neil goes as deep as anybody I've ever seen.
Neil... slips into... his “zone”... summoning something from deep inside.. through his fingertips to his guitar.. and through his amp.. into the atmosphere... for all of us to absorb.. and be there with him.. through his journey... that is.. the song! Such an incredible writer.. spirit.. musician.. So glad I’ve been along for the journey with you Neil... for the past fifty plus years.. Thanks for the adventure... and all the music 🎶...truly one of my rock and roll Heroes...acoustic or electric...this mans music 🎼...speaks to me..Thanks Neil.. Just Incredible...Thank You.. So much!
I imagine it as getting 'into the zone'. When it all comes together and the music just lifts the players to their inner feelings. As a listener I experience it when it makes me feel trippy even though I'm stone cold sober. If it can do that for me, just listening, how great must it feel to be creating it?
I absolutely dug how the dummer had tears in his eyes as he was looking at Neil in the background and I could tell it, when he starts that improvisational jam, I had tears in my eyes too as he was/is singing the lyrics, it is by far one of the many very emotional songs that I love by Mr. Young. - Bravo!
The drummer smoked a whole bush before this track hence the super glazed eyes and the bass players colonoscapy came up negative so he had a large Martini.
The pace is spot on. Many musicians unconsciously speed up the tempo of songs they play through boredom, repetition and fatigue. Love Crazy Horse. Each song they play is organic; it lives, breathes, pauses and motors on.
Lots of bands play songs faster live consciously though too. Oasis come to mind trying to think of an example. You hear it a lot though going right back to TV performances of bands in the mid 60s like the Byrds or Stones.
Why is it I am near 63 years old and NEVER head this song? The radio stations never played it, crime such a great song wasn't played. This is how music should sound not the junk nowdays on radio!!
Here in Vietnam, VOVGT just played all of 15 MINUTES of this song and I am really shocked. This is not a minor or a community station, but a commercial station, and it is the MOST-LISTENED TO radio station IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. That already said all.
You just HAVE to know that this was, and is something very special... In all my years I have never seen Neil playing or singing like he was just getting through it all. He ALWAYS puts the full percentage into what he is doing and ALWAYS becomes that integral part of his music, on the inside pushing it forward, steering and cajoling and engineering it to fit his exact mood, OUR exact mood. I love this man so much for what he has given me, what he has made me, what he has moulded within me... I am 71 and a half now and in 35 years time I will STILL be playing, singing and enjoying Neil and the Horse every single minute I get..... EVERY day without fail.... I am going to have to spin this track again right now....................................................................................................................
I agree with these accolades for Neil and his music/poetry. I would also like to just say, how cool is it , that we grew up in the sixties and seventies with so much amazing and varied music, acoustic and electric. So much so, old hippies like us make a reference to vinyl records, 8 track or cassette tracks, on a "smart" phone. Indeed, spin that track again. ( just don't try to play the "b side" of a cd. They all sound the same...no sound.😁) Now, back to Neil.
You have such a profound impact on my career that even the biggest thank you text would fall shout to express my gratitude. Thanks for your support and the love shown stay safe ❤️❤️❤️
I agree. Neil is a sage, a shaman, a free spirit, close to God, sincerity and truth emanating from every nuanced facial expression. I've idolized this man for 40 years.
Late to the Party, but... Been listening to your stuff since Buff Spring I. My friend and I were the dudes who untangled your Beige Chevy rental car from the roll-up fencing that you comically drove into, backstage of UCSB Stadium in Santa Barbara, 1970. After the slow speed plow-thru, you got out of the car, glanced at the car & fence, and looked at us with a funny smirk and a shrug of your shoulders, then proceeded to blend into the backstage territory. Too funny. That was a great concert. A high school buddy was working at UCSB in facilities maintenance, and got us into a side wing area just off stage a few feet. One of the production crew said "Sure, hang out here & dig it, but stay out of the way of the photographer shooting from the adjacent nook & cranny... he was shooting the outdoor pictures that went into the Deja Vu LP cover. I wish, through some magic and/or alchemy, that I could have had a cell phone with video recording that day, to save for posterity, you being seated at the Hammond organ, playing the bass notes of "Carry On" with your left foot on the Hammond foot pedals and singing your harmony parts, all the while tuning up that big gnarly Gretsch. Later.
@@richpayton7162 those were the days. Santa Barbara 60s although I left a lot never thought I would come back I'm 78 now barely hanging on. What about you? Thank you, Trina Simon in 1970 I was 24 so I'm a bit older than you, the oldest of the baby boomers back in SB after 10 years gone
As every great artist does ' expressing the now' whats on his mind , rollin with the times ' Neil does it in his own way with compassion ' Thats what makes Neil Young touch the hearts of people around the world and especially in Canada . Not only does Neils music resonate in peoples souls but he has the ability to keep us strong when we feel weak and gives us hope when the world seems hopeless . Though he may not have intended to mean so much to so many, it means alot to us to mean so much to him . Thank you Neil
+Glen Gordon Love your comment. His music lead me to a Neil fan group 13 years ago that has brought a lot of meaning and great friends into my life. Started with Neil shows and events and turned into so much more. He is a beautiful spirit and we are so lucky that he was given the gift of musical expression.
He's meant a lot to the whole world- I don't know why Canadians seem so quick to point out the musicians they have "given" the world. It's like they have an inferiority complex or something. Neil wanted to get the fuck out of Canada. No other country seems to brag about the musicians that have come out of their respective countries like Canada does. The US has given the world lots more musicians than Canada but Canadians get so personal about it. When I think musicians from Canada that have had world appeal I think of Neil, Rush, The Tragically Hip, etc. but Canadians get so defensive about it.
What do you mean Neil wanted to get the fuck out of Canada , the only reason he went to LA was because thats where the music scene was at Canada was not really on the map in the music industry in the early - mid 60s . It was The Guess Who that put Canada on the music map ( Randy Bachman) & Neil were good friends in Winnipeg it had nothing to do with not wanting to be in Canada and whats wrong with being proud of people that are from your country , i think the reason why Canadians boast about famous musicians or actors is because there isnt that many huge names that are Canadian as compared to America or England , and when people mention Canada in the same sentence as Neil Young i think its because he lives in The USA but he is and always will be Canadian . I hope that answers the Canadian thing , i dont think its because we think we are better than anyone else i think its more of a proud country thing just as a patriotic American .. PEACE
I certainly understand sir- I didn't mean to come off as an ass hole about it - I understand pride in your country and all and Canada definitely has their greats like any other. Not that it has anything to do with this video or anything, but my heart goes out to Gordon Downie of The Tragically Hip right now as I've heard he has terminal brain cancer and I know he has meant a lot to many Canadians. Again, I am sorry for the ass hole comment. Peace to you as well...
The music and talent in Neil is definitely being channeled from the source of life! Unbelievable how an artist can transform from album’s like Harvest to this incredible compilation. Neil’s music can take you to so many places in your mind.
One of my favorites Neil...such a great song for all of us and especially those struggling with the deepest depression. Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. Please please people seek professional help! So worth it! If you know someone struggling help them🙏🎵❤️
Can you imagine anyone else singing it? Since they thought his voice was so bad... His passion brings his thoughts and feelings to life and only he could ever have gotten my attention, his voice, his heart, boy oh boy did he show them!!!
45 years ago this week i was 15 years old and had my first jam session. the first 2 songs we learned were southern man and words. the amount of incredible material neil has come out with over the years is awe inspiring.
This is one of Neil's best songs and highly overlooked. It actually works very well at 16 minutes long. I love the lyrics but I also love the wall of sound and jamming throughout - it's a moving trip. Just as good a song as better known and loved classics such as Cowgirl In The Sound or Down By The River.
I agree! It is a very overlooked song….. I have much respect for the deep well inside Neil that sprung song! I have listened to this back to back many times and never tire of it! ☮️
Wow!! No matter how many times I watch this video it blows me away!! The soul wrenching organic nature of it and the emotional highs and lows!! Just amazing!! Love you Neil!!!!!
This is such a brilliant song, music and lyrics, a masterpiece. I have loved Neil's songs for years and I so admire that he doesn't care about his image, the mess on stage and the taped up microphones, you get what you get, good honest music played brilliantly with minimal overdubs. A true genius. Love ya Neil!
Neil and the Allman Brothers Band are the two greatest jam bands or long song bands as you call them. ABB have ended but Neil still going strong. Rockin' out the Long Songs for years to come lets hope.
Some people love him - some people hate him - and that is their loss. I have the deepest respect for this man. Very Very one of kind. You will rarely find the continuous river of honest deep passion from other artists. His playing may not be the chops nor his voice - but see him live a few times - In my case maybe 11 or 12. He is so passionate when he plays. It is very moving.
Lucky you to have seen him..i wish i had. Yes, he is very passionate with his music and it shows. Very moving too. He gets me going. When I am sad, I listen to him and it makes me feel so much better. I love it when Neil and Crazy Horse play together. They are great. ;0)
I've seen Neil play a dozen times myself. Mainly in the 80s and 90s. Was actually the first concert I ever went to. The energy that man has on stage is incredible.
+Marsh Sherrif I read half of his autobiography and there was something about his writing style I didn't like. Petty, maybe, yes. Stupid? Yes. The music speaks for itself. Thanks for commenting tonight because I needed to hear this song right now.
I have to thank Neil, for cleansing my soul, after my liver cancer op, I had two treatments of chemo, I ended up in intensive care for two weeks, when I got out of hospital, I had booked tickets to Neil’s last concert in Australia with my 10 year son, I was still weak, but we still went and I came out of that concert I felt on top of the world, I’m still here my son is 25, Thanks Neil.
Every note from Neil Young is THE perfect note in that moment. Accept no substitute...because there simply isn't one. This man has more passion in his big toe nail than the rest can hope for in a lifetime.
Have listened intently since Harvest to everything Neil did. I have spent an enormous amount of time considering every part of him and his music, yet I do not begrudge that time at all.’On The Beach’ really provoked me. Simply the best.
rustedglory1 Hi ! You are right, all those Neil vids are on the playlist I listen everyday, it is sooooooooo gooooooood! Don't let another day goes by without Neil's magic touch :D
Someone who can, please, nominate Neil Young for a Nobel in literature for the incredible body of poetic and lasting work he has done over so many years in so many styles and inspiring and influencing so many other artists in those styles. Folk, Grunge, Rock, even Country, he has successfully done them all solo and collaboratively. And then there are his charitable works, too.
Yes that's a good idea, he should be nominated! and may I add he should also recieve Julie Payette's Order of Canada if she is ever stripped of the honour heheh
Distracting you, concealing you , protecting you, destroying you - Genius . The songs come in sort of pictures in his mind - he says he doesn't plan them and that the song tells or instructs him in a way what to do - how to compose and perform. They erupt from an Intersection between 'normal ''conscious' and a Vast Source beyond.
peter moorenshon it’s an epistrophe (lol I’m an English teacher)! I love how Neil Young effortlessly uses poetic devices and figurative language. It’s natural. Sadly, it’s a lost art these days. Surprisingly, the best examples from my generation (I’m 28) are Taking Back Sunday and, I kid you not, Eminem. Lorde does it as well, but it’s very contrived. Except for Bob Dylan, I think Neil Young may be the best lyricist of all time.
@@stephaniegreen6606 major props for comparing Adam and Neil! TBS is my favorite band because of the lyrics. Are they the best singers and instrumentalists? No. But damn they can write songs.
What a deep, deep groove this song has.I wish this haunting jam would just go on forever and ever.Such an important message in the words. One of my top favorites for certain.Hope someone somewhere has changed their mind today.
I always love “Change Your Mind” and yesterday I listened to “The entire Peace Trail” I also listened to “A message Home” “changes”Early morning Rain” Reason to believe “”needle of Death” “ Since I met you Baby” “Crazy” seems to be up scale from when I heard it before. AND “ Show Me” “ John Oaks” My Pledge” “Can’t Stop Workin” “Indian Givers”. And more and more I tried to send off a message but txting all day and listening to music went to bed got up didn’t even turn RUclips on until 3;00 ish But I loved all that music yesterday. So thanks and I’m so grateful for having it Many Blessings Neil Young Donna Reidt❣️
I'm a poet, songwriter, and I'm always listening. Neil Young's eternal boy voice enchants me. There is a care in the arrangements, in the melody, to accompany the lyrics. I like to listen. (Adriana Janaína Poeta / Clube de Leitura dos Poetas)
Nothing I can say would accurately describe how much this song like so many of his songs has touched my life. We owe Neil our deepest gratitude for being who is is.
Oh my god....from the lyrics, the guitar playing, the holes in his jeans, this whole video song. This is a modern masterpiece. Click fullscreen on this one, put on your best headphones if you want....Thank you Neil and band for sharing this. Gotta take this one in again.
No small feat to make a song with only a few chords and that lasts for 15 minutes, sound so good, so inviting and so mysterious that you just can't stop listening. Brother Neil and Crazy Horse had that magic and they've got me,"Driftin' Back."
This is exactly what I need to here from Neil as usual. Everyone would like to change their mind but it's a lot easier when he told you to do it. Right on man!!!
Holy shit... SOOOOO frikkn amazingly excellent... Neil and the Horse... what absolute GIFTS to this earth, to all the people that can hear. Please support the Horse's induction into the RnR Hall of Fame. For some insane reason they have yet to be inducted....
You know when a song this long doesn't bore you, that's some genius. I still say he reminds me of a vulture Muppet when he jams with the band... Lol. Love him.
There's only one Neil man. No one puts the emotion and grunge crunch into leads on guitar like he does. Seriously. Love ya Neil. You've inspired my own songwriting so much, I could never repay you bro. Stay safe bro, you and Darryl. Peace & love, Paul Edwards

What a tune! A masterpiece video, perfection! This is Crazy Horse and Neil’s result of practicing together and playing together to bring such celestial audio. If they played only this tune and, let’s say Welfare Mothers ( one of my least favorites) and called it a CONCERT, I’d be totally satisfied and leave there in awe! But the crowd wouldn’t let you hear the greatness that’s in this videotape! Just naturally flowing and cosmic at the same time. Whew! Peace…
I've just recovered from a terrible cold! Listening to this awesome song, I change my mind and send the cold ghost away for ever!!! Our brain is the heaviest part of our body!!!! Neil Young is a xamanic musician, that's for sure!
Epic!, Iconic, Timeless, and on and on.... this song says so much!!! Neil is now and has been a legend for years. He seems to have always had a never give in and no sell out approach to his music. Long may you run Neil!
Neil Young is one of my most favourite artists, I just love his music and his live performances. Such an underrated guitarist too, I love his melodic and mesmerising playing. What a performance, just amazing. ❤
No bigger NY fan ....but the man just out does himself here the whole Neil Young experience in one video. ..beautiful lyrics, harmonies, guitar jamming and just a great vibe of all the musicians.....i
My parents always tell a story where they had been out for the evening the night this aired for the first time on TV in the UK (before the album came out I believe, or at least before they'd heard it). In excited anticipation they had recorded it on VHS to watch upon their arrival home. As soon as they had returned they put the VHS in the player and watched in silence and total awe for the fifteen minutes this song played. When it finished they turned to each other and both uttered just one word...'Wow'.
+Adam Green Pretty sure that's the one I also taped, on Betamax early 90s ish. Was looking for it on You Tube but no luck. However, this one is just as good!
This played on Channel 4 in the UK between Xmas and the New Year 1994. The album had come out a couple of months earlier. I was out that particular night and wanted to tape a film on that channel so I pressed 'record' and let the thing run. Next night I watched the film and for some reason I didn't press 'stop' at the end of the film. Once the film was over and the ad break had finished the announcer said 'and now, Neil Young in concert' and this song started playing. I had the same reaction as your parents - 'wow'. I was hooked from the first riff. It was incredible. The way it flowed. It was like he was mining that riff with his guitar. Like his best songs it sounds so organic. He could play the same song 100 times and he would play it differently each time and yet each time is as good as the last. There's no definitive playing of any song - no right or wrong tempo or mood or notes (to a certain extent anyway lol). Just playing the song how he feels at that moment and being as true to that as he can possibly be. There's a touch of genius in that. I've still got the recording!
I really love your story man , back when rock was serious rock , without knowing your parents i imagined the scene while i was reading , greetings from Mexico.
You have such a profound impact on my career that even the biggest thank you text would fall shout to express my gratitude. Thanks for your support and the love shown stay safe ❤️❤️❤️
Neil has overcome so many problems in life. One, he had polio when he was younger. Had epileptic seizures sometimes and later was lucky to have caught a anurisum. Very lucky to have caught that. YET... he still got out there and put out music that personally I think is pretty damn good. The best... He didn't let things get in the way. When times got tough, he didn't quit. He kept singing and preforming for us all. He loves his music I think. I know a lot of us do. Thank you Neil. We love ya. And I love this song. When I get down I love to hear this one and " Prime of Life." For starters....
~Wow this guy is a beautiful gift from God~ ❀ . ❀ I wish to thank him for his wonderful amazing music he brought to the world! I pray the Lord will pour out his blessings upon him & his family ♥
The funny thing is they're only great with Neil - any time they try to play with anyone else, it just falls apart, they're really not objectively good. With Neil, though, they're fucking brilliant.

yes He is!
he puts it all out there for people to listen to. the good and the bad. the way he plays and sings, though, it hardly ever sounds less than good.
Neil' solos are like eagles screeching out of the heavens and echoing in the mountains. pure bliss

Yep. Everlastingly, too.

Always said Crazy Horse is the best garage band in the world :-)
Looseness that creates tightness. No one else like these guys.

Hello Neil Young
I do enjoy so much “Change your Mind” and “Down by the River”. Thanks so very much for these. Donna Reidt 🌹❣️
A concert of just this over and over would be a fulfilling evening.
sleeps with angels definitely one of his most underrated albums. and most solid.
Trans am
Its been a staple of mine for always, especially when driving a long way by myself
@dogmunch They just about destroyed those guitars
Arguably his last truly great, fully realized album.
ROCK ON Chevron!!!!
They all sound the same...no sound.😁)
Now, back to Neil.
Neil. is one of a kind.He is awesome and doesn't give a. damned what anyone thinks. Its all about the music.
You have such a profound impact on my career that even the biggest thank you text would fall shout to express my gratitude. Thanks for your support and the love shown stay safe ❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed this morning . What a sweetness of life.
I agree. Neil is a sage, a shaman, a free spirit, close to God, sincerity and truth emanating from every nuanced facial expression. I've idolized this man for 40 years.
hairymarx as
Think I gotcha beat, been grooving with him all my life. I'll be 80 October for sure. Yes he is a free spirit bro.
He is the best
Astute observation. Totally agree.
+Glen Gordon not just Canada Glen.
Pennsylvanians like NY too
He's meant a lot to the whole world- I don't know why Canadians seem so quick to point out the musicians they have "given" the world.
Songs like this make me feel better. Hearing Neil and CH since the 80's. Thank you
When I think I can't live another day, I turn his music on, and soon afterwards , my skies are blue and I know things will get better ! Thank you !
This is why we love Neil Young
What's not to love?!
Hypnotic perfection. Thank you Neil for cleansing my mind, heart and soul. ♥️
Neil Young and crazy horse are masters of the long song.
+joninwakey long song band..u r right on..u can be a short song group...but Crazy Horse with Neil...always long song..peace bro!
Neil and the Allman Brothers Band are the two greatest jam bands or long song bands as you call them. ABB have ended but Neil still going strong. Rockin' out the Long Songs for years to come lets hope.
daniel morris The Dead are the best, but I see where you're coming from.
Cody Barker I don't know how I forgot to include the Dead in that comment. Too many doses in my younger days maybe? LOL
daniel morris Haha, I completely get it. I'm 25 and dosed enough for ten lifetimes. You follow the dead any?
Some people love him - some people hate him - and that is their loss. I have the deepest respect for this man. Very Very one of kind. You will rarely find the continuous river of honest deep passion from other artists. His playing may not be the chops nor his voice - but see him live a few times - In my case maybe 11 or 12. He is so passionate when he plays. It is very moving.
To Scott Legere, So True, so very true...k33
+Scott Legere LUCKY BASTARD 58 yrs old and never got to see em live such envy but luv his music so cathartic
+Scott Legere Well said. Neil Young is a very unique man. Lets treasure him while he's still around!
Musicians like Neil Young knew how to get their groove on, not gimmicky and over produced like so much music today.
+Josiane Ochman SOOO TRUE 58 and still luvin the music
58 years old? who, you or Neil /when he performed this song here?
Absolutely beautiful!!! Neil Young fan for decades and forever!
I've been away from Neil for a while..... This song makes me want to go back to all of it.
+Sean Tubbs get back :)
Incredible song. Top tier of the very best of Neil. Which is meaningless--it's all top tier. This particularly resonates right now, though.
Does it ever. ❤
When I watch him and listen to this song it takes me back to my hippie soul and I feel one with the universe. This live version it's awesome
Every note from Neil Young is THE perfect note in that moment. Accept no substitute...because there simply isn't one. This man has more passion in his big toe nail than the rest can hope for in a lifetime.
Between the Lyrics and the Grooving rhythm. UNBELIVABLE !! but LIVED IT.....
Kind of an emotional release when Neil solos...seriously cathartic ...dude.
Grew up with NY. Am 62 years old and he never gets old......went in 1979 to the Forum in LA. What a talent..I Love you..Neil.
Have listened intently since Harvest to everything Neil did. I have spent an enormous amount of time considering every part of him and his music, yet I do not begrudge that time at all.’On The Beach’ really provoked me. Simply the best.
Waouh!
How high you're flying Neil .... and makes me fly with you. What an amazing trip... you leave me breathless.
billenplum Hey friend see you on all the Neil vids just sayin' hi!
rustedglory1 Hi ! You are right, all those Neil vids are on the playlist I listen everyday, it is sooooooooo gooooooood! Don't let another day goes by without Neil's magic touch :D
+billenplum My heads spinning!!!
Neil Young is my second musical love. And song has so much power.
Beautiful performance of a beautiful song from a beautiful album.
Created by and played by a beatiful soul.
True Legend....True Americana....Hands down one of the very best Guitarist /Singer/ Songwriters to ever grace a stage or studio......🎸🎤🔥
Neil Young should be next in line for a Nobel prize in Literature for his poetry , insights, influence and social relevance.
What an underrated masterpiece.
What a great tune ."don,t let another day go by with out the magic touch" just one great line from this incredible song .
No. But damn they can write songs.
i bought live rust on cassette in 1986.followed you ever since.thank you for enriching my life Neil.legend
Ssssshhhh everyone.... Neill Young's playin', just close ur eyes n listen..
the best comes after 2 hours.
Oh fuck yes!
I hear you, Honestly I respectfully disagree, you have to keep your eyes open just to watch him bounce around 😉
I'm going to smoke some more Hawaiian and keep listening !
The dude in the red shirt with the Les Paul.. should not try to dance like Neil . Just joking he's great or he wouldn't even be there !
What a deep, deep groove this song has.I wish this haunting jam would just go on forever and ever.Such an important message in the words. One of my top favorites for certain.Hope someone somewhere has changed their mind today.
Why am I just discovering this now?! This might be one of his best.
Me too, only just found it and can't stop playing it.
It’s so epic amongst his very best recordings right here the best crazy horse performance for sure
And more and more
I tried to send off a message but txting all day and listening to music went to bed got up didn’t even turn RUclips on until 3;00 ish
But I loved all that music yesterday. So thanks and I’m so grateful for having it
Many Blessings Neil Young Donna Reidt❣️
I'm a poet, songwriter, and I'm always listening. Neil Young's eternal boy voice enchants me.
There is a care in the arrangements, in the melody, to accompany the lyrics.
I like to listen.
(Adriana Janaína Poeta / Clube de Leitura dos Poetas)
I'll never change my mind about Neil Young. He's the best of the best
Nothing I can say would accurately describe how much this song like so many of his songs has touched my life. We owe Neil our deepest gratitude for being who is is.
I truly appreciate what good ole Neil has done for us all these years 🙌
I never tire of this genius. Cherish and learn from one another. End hate.
I’m 38 and grew up on this music. Saw him one time live. Told a friend he said hi it Neal. Lol. He can’t stop playing him now......
Such a cool song. Only Neil Young could send this song right into your chest….🎸🎼
This version is probably my favourite song of all time, watched and listened to this so many times....
Such a simple guitar riff. One of Neil's best songs

Oh my god....from the lyrics, the guitar playing, the holes in his jeans, this whole video song. This is a modern masterpiece. Click fullscreen on this one, put on your best headphones if you want....Thank you Neil and band for sharing this. Gotta take this one in again.
Neil and Crazy Horse have so many great, best tunes and this is certainly one of them. Long may they run.
Neil Young, the most unpretentious singer/musician of all, and so damn incredible!
No small feat to make a song with only a few chords and that lasts for 15 minutes, sound so good, so inviting and so mysterious that you just can't stop listening. Brother Neil and Crazy Horse had that magic and they've got me,"Driftin' Back."
M Still there
The song is a meditation.
Nobody does guitar solos like Neil.
that`s right you can`t teach that kind of improvison your born with it.
i like that description.
Dan S. Neil and Blackie have been friends a real long time. ✨😆🤘✨🇺🇸
Saved my night
I love him.
Just another great song in a whole catalogue of great songs..simple as..

The scent of love,
more than a million roses bloom

What a tune! A masterpiece video, perfection! This is Crazy Horse and Neil’s result of practicing together and playing together to bring such celestial audio.
If they played only this tune and, let’s say Welfare Mothers ( one of my least favorites) and called it a CONCERT, I’d be totally satisfied and leave there in awe! But the crowd wouldn’t let you hear the greatness that’s in this videotape! Just naturally flowing and cosmic at the same time. Whew!
Peace…
Everyday Neil Young keeps getting better....time has really been on his side. His creativity keeps reaching new levels....Fan for life!
No bigger NY fan ....but the man just out does himself here the whole Neil Young experience in one video. ..beautiful lyrics, harmonies, guitar jamming and just a great vibe of all the musicians.....i
NYC???? Loved jamming with Neil since I was a kid..... to this day he is in my ❤ and soul
Going on 65ishhhhhhhh
When the world's going to pot listen to some Neil Young. One of Neil's wonderful, scalp-numbing, later classics.
I've still got the recording!
and then they fucked like there is no tomorrow
I really love your story man , back when rock was serious rock , without knowing your parents i imagined the scene while i was reading , greetings from Mexico.
Neils finest coupled with Jonathan Demmes eye for the moment
Neil is my #1 FAVORITE Male Guitarist and singer of all time and his music is Ageless and Timeless Love Neil Always 👍✌💯🌹❤

He and crazy horse are a match made in heaven!
Incredible! You always are Neil!! Been a fan for over 40 years!!
Absolute destruction on the guitar on this one !. Love this song . Very emotive distortion-palooza.
Neil's the bomb. The dude just gets it on a level that inspires other artist.
~Wow this guy is a beautiful gift from God~ ❀ . ❀
I wish to thank him for his wonderful amazing music he brought to the world!
I pray the Lord will pour out his blessings upon him & his family ♥
Incredibly good music, Neil. Some of the best that has been recorded, in ANY genre.
It's funny how iconic his guitar playing is....I know instantly when I hear it it's him.
Nice treat for the ears. Enjoying concert sounds on this quarantine Sunday afternoon. All that's missing is the haze! Thanks Neil!
Lets not forget the great musicians in Crazy Horse Frank Sampedro - guitar, vocals- Billy Talbot - bass guitar, vocals - Ralph Molina - drums, vocals

The funny thing is they're only great with Neil - any time they try to play with anyone else, it just falls apart, they're really not objectively good. With Neil, though, they're fucking brilliant.
