I've always loved the chemistry of The Walking Dead's cast. I think part of the reason it was such a phenomenon was because of the cast cohesion. The main group only feels like such a family because the cast are such a family.

I look up to you both and one thing that I really took away from this is when Norman said that he doesn't sweat the small stuff because of everything he went through. That is an area in my life that I really struggle with but the reminder that time goes by too quickly reminds me that life is too short to sweat the small stuff and I really needed to hear that message. Norman been through so much. I related to his going to many funerals growing up. I was my mom's shadow and she went to so many people funerals over the years of my youth. I saw many caskets with people I don't know. Had to follow my mom as she talked with the families. It was rough. Since I got depression, anxiety I decided to stop going to funerals and stop seeing people mostly. Norman is strong, going out to still meet people and strive for those connections.
It's interesting watching this clip keeping in context Sarah's interview with Jon. Norman said that he was not particularly close to Frank Darabont b/c Frank was "in love with Andy (Rick), Sarah (Lorie) and Jon (Shane)." This is why Norman more than likely wasn't apart of the group who were willing to fight for Frank when he was dropped from the show because (1) he wasn't personally close to Frank and (2) the character of Daryl, while important, was never intended, by Frank, to be a major lead of the show. It's telling how POST Frank Darabont, Daryl steadily became a more central figure of the show. This is no shade to Norman, but he most certainly benefitted from Frank no longer working on TWD.

wow
Norman reedus, it such a down to earth person, you can tell by the way he talk about things h that has happened in his life. When he almost said my mum use to tell crack the said coffins he was really struggling. Love him
I’m so used to Jon Bernthal doing a rough deep voice for his characters and hearing him without it sounds weird
Phenomenal. Please, though, someone move that mic or adjust the camera angle, so I can fully see all of Jon Bernthal’s beautiful, dynamically-expressive face. 🥰
Its mind blowing that it is like 9-10 years since John Bernthal left the walking dead and he didnt age a bit!!
I know amc wanted to follow comics but just imagine if we had Shane in season 11 or at least season 6. Actually he would be excellent for Lucille death instead of Glenn or Abe not that i would want him to die. He portrait his character Shane so good that i cant compare him to any other actor on walking dead except Andrew or Norman
If they took care of Shane’s character like Daryl ,Daryl would be nothing compared to Shane
Shane actually in the comic lasts longer then he did on the show.
@Rayan S false in fact he didn’t even make it to the farm before he died
For me this is great to see people still remain friends, if you guys see this, you guys are some awesome inspirations, Jon and Norman, you guys gave me great ideas for some stuff so thanks, much love
This is awesome. I love what Jon is doing with his podcast. Come on, Andrew! That'll be an awesome session!
Just discovered these after seeing Jon with Joe, definitely enjoying these conversations
Daryl and Shane. Both are GOAT 🐐...
Listening to Norman really resonated and the whole conversation felt real with both. I've always liked Norman on tWD and his work always felt genuine , as everyone on the cast. I can really respect him for being real. Great work on the video, sir!
Norman talking about Scott...had me in tears!
Same, This is an awesome conversation. Love both these guys.
Glad to see you 2 are still in contact. 2 huge parts in the story I and many others love so much.
Amazing chat from two amazing guys!
Only just found this channel tonight. This was a great interview/ podcast. I can relate with Norman with his dad and sticking with guys that age for a father figure.
These two men are dope souls! Your work together on TWD is legendary
omg this brings back so many memories
the walking dead was a huge part of my childhood, & I will never forget it
good to see these 2 together again
That was a really great conversation!! I always used to love Norman Reedus and this episode makes me feel I love him more!! Respect!!❤️🔥
the awareness of mortality and not wasting time is so real. I’m 22 and have been a paramedic for 2 years and it’s just SUCH real feeing like i’ve seen REAL morbid deaths and it’s all just so numbing. i cut out meaningless friendships, and i don’t fuck around and bullshit. I didn’t go to college like the rest of my age group i feel like i grew up very young but I really don’t regret it. it’s just very interesting the way life goes
Damn Im so happy to be in the first 20 comments on this one. I love the both of yall so much. I feel like I can relate to the both of you guys so much. So happy to se where you guys have came and where you guys are at now.
Man this was freaking awesome seeing these two together again
And Yes!!Andy should be on the next show
I need the rest of this podcast now John
Great content......happy New year Jon 👍
Scott dying on the day of Norman’s daughter being born is a blessing, my grandma died on my 17th birthday and when you think about it, it really is a blessing
I really love Norman and Jon they seem so genuine and their friendship is so beautiful 🔥🔥
the end is so real, I worked at a cemetery for 5 years, seeing all the stuff that goes with it definitely makes you more aware of how fragile life can be, this dude is for real.
My very first walker stalking I ended up staying at the same hotel that all of you did so I was just fangirling but that night before I saw Scott Wilson walking around in the front of the hotel and I wanted so much to talk to him but I decided no I'm not invading his space . So the next day when I got to meet him I told him I saw you last night but didn't want to bother you. He said thank you for giving him his space and was so thankful and I got two hugs a signed photo I regret not getting a photo with him .I was broke back then lol but being in his presence I will never forget was a honor.
I love the two of you and the friendship you have.
Miss Scott Wilson man, Hershel was one of the best characters in the show and his humanity always shone through
Jon be so focused on the people when they talking that's great
O this is gonna be good. Hope you'll have Andy Lincoln on some day!
Jon you are my favorite actor of all time. Saw your episode on JRE and Man did you speak some truth. You are truly an inspiration and I know I can and will work hard for my dreams. Keep doing what you do and man you are fucking bad ass!!!!!
My late sister was Norm superfan so this coming out on her birthday is some stars aligning type of shit.
you can tell when jon is rlly comfy with someone by the way he talks with them
Some people are born with the talent and some really need to go to acting school. These guys are both so naturally talented. Almost all of The Walking Dead cast is. Miss it so much and am so glad that I can watch it on dvd and streaming over and over again.
Thanks Jon Bernthal. From a decade long walking dead fan, it feels so valuable to hear more honest accounts of your castmembers experiences in a context where they seem comfortable to share them. Sarah Wayne Callies interview had me speechless, same here with Norman. A+ for actually seeming passionate about putting out a good interview, as opposed to most other celeb podcasts that continue to pop up and exist only to serve the hosts ego
