I’ve just finished my 6th hat. I’ve made various sizes and Colour variations. I’m making winter hats for Ukrainian Orphans. I’ve just about made every hat available on RUclips but this is my favourite by far. So quick and easy. It’s a lovely pattern. Thanks for taking the time to produce a very comprehensive and easy to follow video.
I learned from your demonstration and so far I can easily follow and perfectly with Avery leniency view on how the stitches right we’ll done. There’s a ways how to correct or simple strategy that I learn from your teaching.I strive more so I can finish what I am started for.Thank you so much.
Claudetta thank you for sharing the Alpine stitch in a hat form. I just learned from your beginner video how to create the Alpine stitch. I am doing a head warmer and look forward to using this stitch in some hat and shawl designs. You are such a patient instructor, your lighting is perfect. Thanks again and do enjoy the holidays while being sage. I just subscribed to your channel.
Easily explain thanx dear,, my mom made this many years ago bt thanx for sharing nw i made for my son bt i dnt hv this crochet hook well i try to find this online
Thank you so much Claudette for this beautiful tutorial. I made my hat and it came out perfect. Your instructions were perfect. So appreciate it. Many blessings to you.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Simon Gage i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I made a cap with your video and it came out very nice.Thank you so much.. But it became a little small in length.pls help me to know what is to be done to increase the size of the stitched cap.
I worked at Walmart and I have never seen this cotton yarn. I lived in th craft department. Be I will order it. I tried the cotton yarn and I really enjoyed it. I ordered a kit from Mary Maxim yarns and that how I came across the yarn. But thank you.
I love this hat pattern, but what size hook were you using? I am in a women's ministry that does hats , scarves baby hats and booties, and Afghans and quilts etc. I am always looking for hats I can make any in all sizes and I have made this in different sizes. Thank you.
I have been trying to crochet this hat. I have used your projects in the past successfully. But this one has me beat. The ribbed rib is good. Joined into circle good. I think it starts with the single crochet round. I think I am doing too many stitches because after each round the edges keep growing. It doesn’t stay and straight as yours does. I count and think I’m good. But this has happened 4 times. I just ripped out down to the brim once again. I keep looking at your video and just don’t quite see what I’m supposed to be seeing. I know you are not a magician but do you have any idea what I’m doing wrong? This is my second hat. I made your bubble Steichen hat (I don’t know what it’s called) and it turned out great.
That's a beautiful hat, and a wonderful tutorial... but I'm afraid that stitch you are working is NOT the alpine stitch. The Alpine stitch is similar, but it is worked with alternating front post triple crochets, and half double crochets (or double crochets), with a row of single crochets in between. The stitch you are using is one I came up with a few years ago, called the Wicker Lace stitch. I actually have a published fingerless glove pattern using this stitch. I agree that it is an absolutely beautiful stitch. But anyone seeing your tutorial, then watching another alpine stitch tutorial, is going to be really confused, so I thought I should clarify.
Can anyone tell me why I get holes when I make the stitches, after the brim, to make the body of the hat. Just had to frog the hat as it looked bad. Lovely stitch apart from that.
Am I missing how many decrease rows to do? I have watched it like 5 times and I don't see or hear how many to do. Can someone please tell me as I am to this part and can't move on until I know? Thank you
The correct way of saying it would be “This is what it looks like”. Or this is how it looks” without the like at the end rather than ”this is how it looks like” 😊. Otherwise your very well spoken.

Hi you have a new subcriber 😊
I love this hat pattern, but what size hook were you using? I am in a women's ministry that does hats , scarves baby hats and booties, and Afghans and quilts etc. I am always looking for hats I can make any in all sizes and I have made this in different sizes. Thank you.
She used a 6 mm, J hook.
Hello, I would like to buy the written pattern. Where can I purchase it ???
Very nice 👍🤝
Very beautiful pattern Thank you so very much 💝would the size hat fit a man ? Thank you 🌈💖
I have been trying to crochet this hat. I have used your projects in the past successfully. But this one has me beat. The ribbed rib is good. Joined into circle good. Donna, If you want to slow down the video, go to "SETTING", on the bottom right corner, click on "PLAYBACK SPEED".
I went down from a 5.5 hook, down to a 4.0 hook for the alpine stitch part and that seemed to help me.

MUITO LINDO DEMAIS OBRIGADO
Hi, would this pattern work with DK ( weight 3) & a no 4 or 4.5 hook ?
This is gorgeous!💗
Beautiful pattern. What size is it? Adult or child?
I'm so going to try this, thanks ♥♥♥
Are there two rows of decreasing sc or just one? Thank you!
❤
Can anyone tell me why I get holes when I make the stitches, after the brim, to make the body of the hat. Just had to frog the hat as it looked bad. Lovely stitch apart from that.
Love it 😍
Thanks i like it 😘😘😘
That is really nice. I'm going to make it. Is it a chunky #5 or #6?
#5
Am I missing how many decrease rows to do? I have watched it like 5 times and I don't see or hear how many to do. Can someone please tell me as I am to this part and can't move on until I know? Thank you

Are there matching gloves to go with this?
How many inches did it measure out to be ?
Thanks I am making the hat and scarf for my Pastor thanks 🌹🧶🙏🏿
Is there a written pattern?
Did I miss where she tells us to do a decrease row?
