Hello Everyone,
today I am going to show you how to crochet this beautiful Alpine Stitch.
Great for Blankets , Scarfs .... super easy great for Beginners.
Yarn : www.lovecrafts.com/de-de/p/mi...
* Crochet Hook : amzn.to/3wXiPc4
* Crochet Hook Set : amzn.to/3CqaNK0

Also to avoid the gap on the edges , dont chain two. Insert your hook directly into the stitch do a single stitch then insert your hook into one of the loops of the single stitch and do another single on top of it. Then you can go to the next stitch as normal so no more turning chains or skipping stitches 🫶🏽 makes super clean edges!
Thank you 🥹🥹🥹🥹 may the crochet gods bless you 🧶
Do you have a video showing this? I don’t understand.
@@DaysOfSodaAndLantana
No video from me- but instead of chaining, turn your work and make a single crochet. Then look to the left of the edge of the stitch and make another single crochet. Look up double crochet alternative stitch and I’m sure you’ll find jt
@@user-nm3fg7mj9e Thank you for your reply!😊
@@DaysOfSodaAndLantana absolutely. I’m sorry I cannot be more “clear” but it’s easy to do and frankly, I prefer it for straight edges! Happy crocheting!
You are right, this is an easy pattern. I am using up all my scrap yarn by making different pattern squares, then I stitch them together into lap quilts and donate them to veteran, nursing homes, or children’s hospitals.
Do you know of any simple baby bootie patterns?
Easy ones. It's day two of my crocheting adventures. 🤗🌷
Thank you for being a good human.
I am taking a break before I scream at this pattern WHO IS THIS WOMAN I want to strangle her. I am completely taught via video. I started with one of Annie's kits. Why are people so protective of their patterns. If I had that I wouldn't have to stop every minute. So far this one is the worst I done. I go a little farther but...
Jacquelina Foley-Klein what pattern are you attempting to make?
Beautiful and so easy
I just taught myself to crochet a couple months ago by watching tutorials and I must say that your tip on pulling up on the double crochet was most helpful. I've crocheted several of these stitches on previous things and could never get my DC post to look right until watching your tutorial. I can't thank you enough 🙏💗 Your video is greatly appreciated!
This is the best looking Alpine Stitch I have ever seen
Wow, 224 people didn’t like the video?? It’s a lovely stitch. Well taught. I was looking for a nice pattern for some scarves, this is it. I’ll be parking several for friends.
This is my first time that i actually got a tutorial right thank youuuu!
.
I can't believe how easy it is! I love the effect that going behind every other post gives it. Thank you so much.
What a great teacher! You are a rarity! From a beginner, I must say, "Thank you".
You are an excellent instructor - no frills, just very clear information. Thank you!
I am a baby brand new, and I mean brand new crocheter. Your video was so easy to follow! Your voice is so soothing. I am actually doing something other than just a scarf of single crochet! Thank you!
Please don't mind me & my BOOKMARK @2:12.
This is my _very_ first project _ever!!_ Just learned last night. Wish me luck 🐮🌠🌚
Thanks for the video 🤗🌻
EDIT: You're a _fantastic_ teacher. I'm doing it! I'm doing it! It's working! I'm dancing around like a fool.
This is one of the best crochet instructions that I have watched. It was very easy to understand your instructions. Thank you.
Thank you so much for making these videos! I never thought I could learn this, but thanks to you I'm making my first blanket now!
THE best alpine stitch tutorial online! My only advice to others is to definitely make sure you use the intermittent single stitch rows as a chance to count the stitches! Thanks for making this video
I’m so glad I found this. I’m wanting to make a baby blanket and wanted something easy, but pretty. This fits the bill so nicely! Can’t wait to buy my yarn and get started!
You are a very good teacher; you explain things so well and why you are doing it the way you are. Thank you.
I'm in love with this stitch and project!
I will maka a blanket for my father in law for his 90 birthday!
Of all the crochet videos I've watched, your video is the easiest tip understand, the simplest tip follow!! Thank you you so much
Thank you...after all these years I finally can do the Alpine Stitch! Yippee!🧶🌼🌈💖
THANK YOU Claudette..Great Tutorial...easy to flow and lovely stitch🌺
I have watched at least 30 videos and you are the best teacher so far. You show the stitches, your directions are clear. This Alpine stitch is lovely and exactly what I was looking for.
Love how detailed you are and naming each stitch over and over so it's easier to learn by repetition. Thank you 🙏
I love how she explains it very very and makes it very fun. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your clear & precise tutorial on how to do the alpine stitch- I appreciate it!!!
You are the first person I have been able to understand and learn from. Thank you so much!
This was so easy to follow and understand. Great camera angle and super explicit. Thank you!
I just watched another tutorial on this stitch and it was poorly executed. I'm so glad I searched further because I found your tutorial/s ... the best! I watched some of your other tutorials and I'm quite confident that I can expand my knowledge base ... Thank You so much!

I love the look of this stitch , the tutorial was excellent Thank you.
Thank you for your tutorial. I am imagining this stitch for my upcoming whole black tote bag combined with creme light webbing strap. 😄😄 i think it would turn out sooo pretty. Thanks again ☺
Very clear explanation, thanks!! I’ll try this stitch for a baby’s blanket 🤗
Claudetta, you are a fantastic teacher. This video is very clear and well done, thank you so much! After watching it many times and doing some samples I wrote up some instructions which I think are what you are doing in the video. In case anyone else wants the instructions to print out and keep with them as a reminder, here is what I think they are:
SETUP
Slip knot and cast on 2k st + 1 more st
Skip 1, SC across into back legs (now 2k sts), CH2 and turn
Skip 1, DC across, make sure to do last st (should always have 2k sts), CH1 and turn
SC across into both legs as usual, SC into DC hole at end of row, CH2 and turn
After edge post, *FPDC behind post, DC into st before next post*, tight DC into last st, CH1 and turn
*SC across*, SC into DC hole at end of row, CH2 and turn
REPEAT
*DC into st before long post, FPDC behind short post*, tight DC into last st, CH1 and turn
*SC across*, SC into DC hole at end of row, CH2 and turn
*FPDC behind short post, DC into st before long post*, tight DC into last st, CH1 and turn
*SC across*, SC into DC hole at end of row, CH2 and turn
I did deviate in one place - at the ends of the SC rows, in the last stitch, I had trouble finding and using the second chain to do the last SC. So instead I decided to just SC into the hole under the DC chain itself, and that seems to look okay also, while being easier for me.
Brilliant tutorial, so easy to understand and follow, thanks so much!
I love that you explain everything well. Thanks!
A great way to leave a forever hug for loved ones and to keep our old world alive.
It's Lovely! I practiced right along with your Tutorial. Thank you, you're an Awesome Teacher!
This is just perfect! Thank you so very much! You are explaining it and showing it in such simple and soothing manner that I, an absolute beginner, feel very safe and confident to try it. Splendid!
Thank you! I used your tutorial and made a bunch of baby/infant hats with matching blanket sets, to give to the Labor & Delivery babies, at 3 hospitals in my area.
The nurses & mommy patients love them! So, thank you, again!
Love your clear and concise tutorials! Thank you Claudetta ♡
Great tutorial! You do a great job of explaining this stitch and what to do on each end, thank you!
This was such a thorough tutorial. Thanks so much! Easy to understand.
Just beautiful! I can't crochet but I look for nice patterns and send them to my daughter who has taught herself to crochet in recent months due to having knee issues. It stopped her from going crazy 💜
Wow! Your stitches are so beautiful and your explanation is very easy to follow. Thank you!!
Aww each little set of stitches looks like a baby bundled in a blanket!!
This is a beautiful stitch. I have never seen it before. Thank you!
I am so grateful I came upon your tutorials! You are a wonderful crochet(er) if that is a word! Your explanation with such great detail enabled me, a most novice person, to understand the trickiest stitches! Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge of this craft with the world! ❤️
You are a great pedagogue. Your teaching is clear and thorough.
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful in the way you explained the steps very clearly. A beautiful stitch!
I like crocheting with you, your voice and accent are mesmerizing. Pretty pattern.
Thank you ! It is a beautiful stitch and your tutorial is clear and simple. A must do for sure.
Thank you for demonstrating this and explaining it so beautifully...it is very easy to understand! This crochet stitch makes a really great dishcloth or washcloth using a nice cotton yarn. I've used "I Love this Cotton" and it is wonderful!
I love how you explain the pattern. Nice and easy to follow. No distracting music in the background that I appreciate! I will subscribe to follow and see what else you teach! Thanks!
Thank you for this tutorial. I was looking for an interesting but simple stitch for a baby sleep sack and this is perfect.

Ok.... versteht man auch ohne Ton!!!! Super schön.... vielen Dank 🙏😀👍
Great explanation! I thought it was going to be much more difficult until I followed along to this video. I think this might be my new favorite style!!
I love your tutorials... I know enough stitch’s to end up in a big knot... you have taught me a few new stitches. Thank you so so much.
Yes! You are a good teacher and this stitch is really pretty.
Wow! Your a great teacher. Thanks for the video.
Brilliant video to follow along. Clear filming so you can see where to put your hook, just the right distance, slow enough to follow, the yarn colour doesn't obscure seeing the stitches and great sound and clear voice. Wonderful tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Your a great teacher. I'm a beginner and learn by watching. I think the only hard part is learning the vocab words.. but you make it sound understandable. Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial. You’re a great teacher 😊
This is beautiful. It makes a pretty thick blanket. I think it will look so beautiful draped over a crib or chair in the nursery. I could see using this stitch for a rich textured sweater or cardigan. Thank you!
I just love that stitch, thanks so much for explaining it so perfect!
Amazing!!! Thank you so much for the patient demo.
Does this stitch use up a lot of yarn?
@@annekehoe5596 it is not as thick as bean or bubble stitch. No, it doesn't take up a lot of yarn, The Alpine is not thick or thin and makes a good cardigan. I used this stitch to make new-born hat, socks. The best color for Alpine stitch is peach, lilac
@@lisal8529 let's say I am not everyone 😁. I find that color and texture matter to bring the best from the pattern.
Thank you for this. Lucky I found you. I was going to make a waffle stitch Afghan until I saw this!!!! Thanks again for you detailed demo
This stitch looks awesome. Can not wait to make a scarf with this stitch. Thank You.
This video is wonderful! I’m working on a baby blanket in the alpine stitch using a pattern I found online and I was having some trouble working out the math of it. Came to RUclips to get some clarity hoping someone had a video using alpine. This helped me so much! Thanks.
Tried this for my first ever project and I’m shocked at how I could do it. You’re amazing at explaining and making it look easy! Thank you ☺️
I like how your nail color mimics the yarn color- kept me focused- not at all distracting! You're a good teacher- it did take me writing down the instructions, also, to get the hang of what you do at the end of each row- I'm funny that way; I have to write it (anything I'm trying to learn) down to have a solid grasp on the subject! Very easy to keep track of the ins & outs throughout my piece. I'll send you a pic when it's done🕊🌈❣
Such a beautiful pattern- thank you so much for sharing!
The yarn you picked made it so easy to see the stich in progress, so hard to find good clear videos like this! Thank you from a long time beginner ♡
Yes. Too many tutorials use dark yarn that is difficult to see the stitches.
Explained very well for the beginner! I can do this- thanks very much!
That yarn is gorgeous! The stitches are so distinctive! I'm going to use this stitch to make a hooded poncho.
Beautifully done! A very clear & concise video, thank you.
Beautiful, very clear instructions. Will be making a baby blanket Thankyou!
What a beautiful stitch! Makes me think of a lavender field! Can't wait to try this stitch!
This turned out beautifully! Your tutorials are amazing. Please keep adding more!!
I love your video and I love your voice! I'm in the US and my mother's side is from Germany. I love listening to your accent when you do your tutorial. This stitch is just gorgeous as well! I'm doing it using a lace weight yarn made of cotton and bamboo fibers and it is just perfect for a summertime shawl, especially after I block it. Thank you for making such a great video!
This is super easy; thank you! Making a pillow with alternating colors.
So easy Stitch, very clear explanation, so beautiful , thanks!!! Una puntada facil de muy sencilla y clara explicacion y ademas muy hermosa, gracias!!!
Thanks for showing this pattern. It's an easy stitch, but looks amazing. Going to make my daughter a summer tank top using this pattern.
