Zenless Zone Zero and Wuthering Waves have been two GIANT Gacha Games recently, but with so much competition comes with a little bit of toxicity. In this video I discuss the toxicity in the Gacha Community and talk about the issue Content Creators are having when keeping ZZZ and WuWa fans happy with their content. Hoyo community is very toxic, yes. Definitely one of the most toxic gacha communities there is.
"Becoming"
Genshin existed for like 4 years. It's been toxic for that long, at the very least. This isn't a dig against Genshin, it's a dig against its fans. I remember people going insane because they didn't get Xiao (their "comfort character" that was just released for the first time) and harassed/threatened people who DID get Xiao and showed off getting him. What about harassing artists because they drew characters the wrong way, like if they drew Klee they're immediately a pedophile. Or if they DARED to draw a sexualized female character or straight couple (gay couples are fine though! Sexualizing men too!). I've seen a couple artists swear off drawing anything from Genshin because the community is just THAT toxic. Or harassing people who liked Eula because she was a white woman slaver (when in reality it's her ancestors that were, and she's actively opposing them and the rest of her family). Not to mention screeching about melanin every time a white character is shown on screen. They even harassed the VA for Nahida (who is black) for playing a "white" character. Not to mention the harassment of other VAs for other nonsense reasons, like Diluc's for RTing the "wrong kind of art" of Diluc and Kaeya.
Of course WuWa is going to have some crossover community from Genshin so the same type of toxicity that's in Genshin's community exists in WuWa's. Already a VA was harassed because she called Verina a waifu, if only on accident. WuWa's players don't want that kind of toxicity there, so they become toxic in turn in order to keep them out.
Then there's also the stupid shit of which game is going to kill the other. Genshin will survive and KILL WUWA! WuWa is the GENSHIN KILLER! ZZZ is going to KILL WUWA!
The real problem is people who calling all community bad just because of 0.0001% of it.
It is not like mihoyo brainwash people to make them toxic but it is toxic people become playing this games in the first place.
Believe me you dont want to go in any wuwa social space and tell them you play mihoyo games.
Any and I mean ANY community has this 0.0001% of toxic people but because genshin has a huge player base there are more toxic people in the community

When it's so frequent and prevalent it makes the ENTIRE community look bad, and no one wants to interact with them. It's not the fault of the people who don't want to interact with them lol. Honestly, how can people find the time to be toxic? I can't find the time because I'm too busy with real life, and grinding for mats in WuWa and training to beat Hologram VI. If these people were really playing the game (whether WuWa or any of the others) they probably wouldn't bother that much.

Zzz was sold as a combat focus game , yet they focused on cut scenes npcs, cat balls and rabbit buttholes, so for pointing that out, players calling players toxic for stating they don't like the game after (hours) of playing, I find that to be "toxic" lol
it's also sold a roguelike inspired game, which those TVs are meant to be. Those people who played the game for hours never actually tried the challenging modes to begin with and just saying "one buttong mashing" when they can't even finish shiyu defense S rank level 10.

Yes, the gacha community is hella toxic right now. It all started with Genshin and now Mihoyo has grown into a global empire. But there are still a lot of gamers who don't like Hoyo games because of the monetization and the braindead easy level of difficulty in their games, and the anti-Hoyo crowd has been absolutely trashing ZZZ, and admittedly ZZZ kinda deserves the criticism.

I would say that the Gacha Community become toxic with genshin success, what is to be expected when you reach a larger market you also reach more people that are unstable. Back pre-Genshin when we played FGO, Granblue, Arknights we just laugh at each other coz we were the stupid idiots that spend money to buy a png on our phone, everybody knew that, nobody cared, we were just eating that salt and tears.
But post-Genshin when gacha become more mainstream we got the fking tourist that dont know sht they just latch onto 1 game like some parasite try to make this game their entire identity and attack anything that makes them feel even remotely threatened. The worst part is that now after 4 years of conditioning every new gacha enjoyer must first go thought this mud hole of delusion to find the real people

Now let me complain. Kidding. But I will say zzz and wuwa are different games who just so happened to release pretty recently. Everyone who hated what wuwa did and compared it to genshin and honkai and stuff are also haters. Everyone who has hated zzz and saying that wuwa is better in every way, no matter if it is a hater. In the end, every game has its own issues and problems, and what can you do besides complain? Nothing. Kuro games like the consistent feedback, but there is only so much that they can do for us players. Hoyo half the time only listens to big content creators, but even then, they have a vision for their own games and say to hell with that. In the end, those companies also have their own flaws, and what can you do to fix it? Nothing. Just enjoy their games and complain every then and there, but in the end, it's oh well.
I tried so hard to enjoy the game. I've waited so long for this game to come out. It looked so good. But holy fuck is it bad. 90% is just TV's, which drove me absolutely insane. When you do actually play the game, it's just brain off mashing in small rooms. On top of that, playing WUWA literally made their greed stick out like a sore thumb. No selector (there is, but it's at 300 summons, good luck with that), and there were supposed to be 180 "free" pulls, but that's all under technicality. You technically do get those free pulls, but you have to play through the entire game... Yeah, that's extremely disingenuous since that's NOT what was advertised in the video. That plus their all standerd banner pulls. Which isn't too much a problem, but like I stated before, it takes 300 god damn summons to even get the selector. But of course, this is a Mihoyo game, so im not suprised. Shit, WUWA makes the whole game stick out like a sore thumb. Even if WUWA didn't come out, the game would still be shit. I thought people were being too hard on the game, but after playing for hours, i can't help but agree that this game is a polished turd. This game really is 💤. I will sell my soul to remove the the TV's entirely.

@kskr8610 For the most part, no. I try to listen to the story for most games. After a while, though, TV became way too time-consuming and started to make me bored. So, I tried skipping the story to get to action more frequently to fix the problem. It kind of worked?

Gacha Community became toxic the moment Genshin launched its not even hate baiting I have been part of the community since 2010 during the days of Reign of Dragons and Rage of Bahamut and continued through Fate Grand Order, Granblue to nowadays HSR, genshin and wuwa and before the genshin era everybody called each other salty and even if it got rough at the end it was like a camaraderie where both laughed and knew they are idiots spending money on pngs but after genshin I see motherfking death threats to people in other gacha games you dont play and shit like that like wtf
Because the pandemic opened the floodgate for alot of tourist every demographic etc (heck this also didn't just happen games, but also anime that you get retards who can't separate fiction from reality), the main problem is also the fact some people are pretty new on the gacha space or have never played any F2P MMO's etc that the sunk cost fallacy is taking a huge effect on them, that they felt like they have to slave themselves away for the corpo of said game, because the game they're playing for years is being threatened and they don't like it because it felt they just wasted their time playing the game if it fades away etc.

me personally former kurogames fandom from PGR we barely care about other games...only that one time Hi3rd provoke PGR community but it didnt last long n we both end up liking the games each other now

People need to realize that CC's will almost always cover any content that they think and believe would help their channel. It's that simple really.
For example late may and entirety of June you'll see WuWa on almost all CC's except for some solid Hoyo shills, but now since 1.1 is mostly done CC's would focus on the next hot stuff which is ZZZ, regardless wether they personally like the game or not they'd cover it.
Then when ZZZ 1.0 has been fully milked dry of content they'd probably cover the game that has something going on maybe Genshin 4.8, HSR, WuWa's 1.2 etc. it is what it is.

As a genshin and ZZZ enjoyer, I get irritated by the amount of bashing it gets from "Wuwa" fans. I completely understand that these "fans" probably didn't even play PGR, and is just using Wuwa as their hub.
Just look at the monthly players for each game, and compare it with the RUclips views. Then you'll understand that a majority of kuro and Hoyo players are just quietly playing their game, while people out here yapping.

Saw a guy saying “Wise (ZZZ Male MC) is so cool!” and then the comments had like 3 people saying that Male Rover is cool too, which isn’t toxic on the surface, but when OP said “Yeah, I don’t really feel his vibe tho, I also didn’t feel the vibe with Aether” those same people continued to talk about how he’s more powerful than Aether and how he’s cooler, has never been beaten (side note: rating how good a character’s writing is by how many times they win fights isn’t a good rating system) and how Rover is “objectively” better because they have more voice lines (even tho they kinda sucked ngl, especially the part when we were solving that puzzle in the big Jinzhou building) basically forcing the OP to like M Rover.
It’s definitely the vocal minority, but it just feels like some WuWa fans are simply salty genshin addicts that hated the game but still played it because no new gacha game could satisfy their gambling needs, and a good number of them I’ve met were big fans of the man who shall not be named too which is something.
I love WuWa, but it is so annoying how GLAZED the game is by it’s community.

I'm pretty new to the gacha scene, and didn't realise there was such a toxic community. It does put me off getting involved. Which is a little annoying. Sometimes it's nice to chat about games you like with like minded people, and gacha games are something I've really started enjoying. I kind of owe a lot to HSR / gacha games, they have really rekindled my love of gaming.

Most of the gacha players before Genshin's release are just your typical gamers, excited for a new shiny game to play, and are mostly working adults, anime enthusiast, and the like.
Worry not, that's just the start. why not accelerate it to rupture then alas all can cool-down and move on?

That's what you get when the barrier of entry is literally 0 dollars. If Gacha games were pay up front like an average game on steam or whatever this would not be a problem because that would filter most of the kids which are the main cause of the toxicity. And since they're free any kiddo can just come over and start talking shit because as if he gives a damn. Obviously it's not like gacha games suddenly become pay experiences so it's a behavior we have to adapt and accept moving forward because it aint' stopping anytime soon.
This subreddit lives off of doom posting and drama. They are helpless chronically online gacha addicts. These people are beyond saving. It is better to leave them alone and not give them any publicity.
People need to realize that Genshin brought in people who are new to weeb culture. Toxicity can happens to literally any video games tbh. Either you’re adapt to it or play other games. This isn’t going to go anytime soon. Heck, Riot tries to remove toxicity is basically adding more fuel to the fire. You know what is the least Toxic Games? Games that being physical and play around with homies. Toxicity is gonna happen even you like it or not. You can’t stop it. Humanity is Violent in nature. It’s on everyone’s instincts and depends on who can keep it under control. Video Games that design for Esports in mind will going to be more toxic than the casual easy going games. I bet Animal Crossing Community can be toxic at times. Well gacha game community has been toxic from the beginning of the existence of gacha games themselves.
Though back then, we/the community just salt on each other's gacha results or what waifus we got that the other guy didn't have.
or what highest score/damage we manage to achieve with our teams.
A somewhat mild form of toxicity compared to today, like we don't hate other games or cry about it when better games are released but still toxic nonetheless.
The switch from "domestic toxicity", aka hate on things that's within the games or the members of its own community, changes with the presence of Genshin 1st anniversary incident.
Where genshin players, out of the "great self-control" that they had, slashed out on other games outside of Hoyo's bubble, review bombed them as an act of protest for a better 1st anni rewards.
And since that worked and Hoyo gave them what they asked for, it kinda triggered their twisted logic that it's acceptable to crap on other games as well and such behavior stayed with them till this day.

@@lucasp-max343 sorry bro i am ignorant the high specs pc and i dont have experience to play in high specs pc...my pc here is dont have graphic card but can play genshin zzz and star rail in very low graphics setting in game... but in wuwa cant handle the game i need it to set something in the engine.ini at wuwa i can play but not too long that's why i will borrow a android phone to my friend to do the dailys...

I dont use reddit. Also we hate on mihoyo as we know how greedy they are. We are warning players to not touch their game, as its waste of time and money.
They also use bots and false advertising to inflate their player numbers.
Main reason why people defend wuwa is due to devs fixing their stuff and listening to feedback. Mihoyo has been ignoring our feedback for 4-5 years now.
Still no artifact loudout in genshin (the one that doesnt suck), no starmina usage when you run (only when combat), increased reshin cap and ability to not do dailys at all, but instead let the primogems stack up till you do the dailys (no...the new use reshin is not good thing). Do not let me mention how bad theatre is.
