- Decided to give the Tog Classic another try this year and conditions were tough but we caught on the all girl squad Team Professional Hookers. Me, Chell, Kelly, Jenn, Capt Coral and Capt Daphne gave it our all for the first all lady squad.

RI Tog Classic? I swear I just came off the road fishing in NC in the Crystal Coast region for Blues & Mackerels w/ my brother, and on the drive back up I told him we need to get up top to get on some Togs.
Then I open up my RUclips videos, and BAM! here you are doing exactly what I speaking of. I'm taking this as a sign, and putting my crew...The Alexandria Anglers...together for a Tog trip.

Im new to this tog business I struggle to detect the bite in my tri state area. Many trips and $ later Decide to fish RI what others call the mecca. 8-14# 2 hour limit help my conferdince the bite was very different. I still struggle in the area. I end up jigging seabass just to take something home This video inspires me to master this technique
Yea I was definitely struggling to detect the bite with heavier braid on the jig. I can say for sure that 15#braid makes it so much easier for me. Good luck and keep at it!

What are your favorite jigs? Fishing Newport is always a blast, such awesome views.
Ohhh that’s a tough one lol I’ve befriended a lot of jig makers in the last couple years and some of my faves are Salvos Jigs, John Kim Jigz, Mike’s Jigs and Asylum Jigs. Can’t go wrong with those small business jig makers. For the price without fancy colors from a big box store Jigging World gets the job done too.
