I do something similar to this in my cast iron, I don't know but I feel like it cooks better and gets a nice "crust" on it.... you can modify this basic recipe so many ways - I love using mushrooms, spinach, yellow peppers and parmesan cheese, for some reason that combo works for me Thanks for a great reminder of a classic breakfast prep Dani, you're the best

I’ve adopted it for other veggies as well. By bringing the water to a boil first and then adding the broccoli for Only 2 minutes it comes out great! Thx so much!

I have extra eggs in my fridge and going to give a whirl. I like the idea to season the veggies first and not add all the season to the egg mixture. Thinking others veggies like cauliflower , brussel sprouts , green onions and shredded carrots.
This is a really good healthy breakfast the only thing is that if you're going to bake it in the oven I don't think you really need to boil the broccoli because it's going to be for a bit so it will get soft b everyone has their way of doing that which is still comes it still comes out good

Great recipe!! I would add some quinoa too and use less eggs! Also, I generally just microwave the broccoli florets in a bowl with a sip of water to steam them!

I make something similar to this. Mine calls for half and half, no garlic or curry and no egg whites. But so yummy. I have made with red pepper in with the broccoli but just prefer broccoli. I'll have to try with the curry. Not a fan of garlic though.
Hi Dani, what might I substitute for the curry powder?... as I have a curry averse individual in my household. I always enjoy your videos and recipes. I also look forward to your out-takes...it always makes me smile. It just shows we're not all perfect and how hard you work to bring us great content.
I saw a few videos, where they add tuna to this. And Your recipe sounds the most logic-simple one. I just wanted to ask, would it be cool to add tuna ? Or it will overburn or smth in the oven (im no expert, so sorry if its a silly question) Thanks for the video !
I am confused about the eggs and egg whites part. In the video you did not separate the yokes from the whites, so do you mean to take another 12 eggs and separate the whites and add them and that makes it 24 egg whites? Thanks and looks delicious.
Just made the vegan version of this with Tofu and nutritional yeast! I added shredded carrots and spinach. Half the batch is baking and the other half is simmering on the stove. We'll see who wins.
What are your thoughts on adding cooked brown rice in before baking? Would you need to add something to give more moisture while baking ex. Some kind of broth or milk? I definitely want to try this as is for an easy breakfast, but just wondered about more bulk and it being more of a one dish dinner bake.

what egg whites do you recommend? do they have pasture raised pre-separated egg whites as well?
How would you compare using fresh vs frozen broccoli? It would eliminate the stem issue.

You would use bake I believe as the egg mixture and broccoli need to cook
