Frankie Gaye, looked soo much like Marvin. I read in one of Marvin Gaye's autobiographies where Marvin and Frankie would sometimes play tricks on the audience when Marvin performed. Frankie would come out on stage and everybody thought he was Marvin and the crowd would go wild. Then Frankie would go offstage and at the same time Marvin would come onstage from the other side. Then the audience would stop clapping because they were confused until Marvin told them what they were doing.

The gentleman who was singing was very emotional at that time. Have you ever tried to sing at someone's funeral who was very close to you? Well, this gentleman was Marvin's lead choreographer and Pallbearer who Marvin could trust. His name is Cecil Jenkins (aka) Sesil J' The Last Protege of Marvin Gaye"

Marvin Gaye’s is the artist that I most identify with.
I tried emulate his music earlier in my life.
    This brother was so sensual…
His Music did provide sexual healing for many of us during lovemaking
The first time I made love, “I want You” was playing on my cassette deck.
His music helped me, and HEALED during some very trying times……
These songs are dedicated to Nicci. Girl you were my first love
I think of you often….Thank You for allowing me in your life

Marvin died because he was murdered by his abusive father, a “pastor” who did not know the Bible, yet preached from a church pulpit.
The father, a man guilty of abusing his wife and children from birth because he himself had a demon.
Pastors preach forgiveness from the pulpit, yet they carry demons. We must know that God is the one to listen to and obey.
Cast your demons on Jesus and let the Holy Spirit take them away as you move away from what is causing the demons to live.
It’s hard to walk away from what seems to make you feel good, but the delusion of sinning and harming the body with drugs, alcohol, smoking and sexing has its consequence, a feel good desire that leads to death.
Give over your entire life to God and open your heart to Jesus and let His Holy Spirit come in and chase that old devil away. Give your life to Jesus and live godly. Amen !!!

i said the same thing, why did marvin go back and live with a man who didnt love him when he was young. You a grown man of 42 years old, go get your own place, but to go back home after living such a successful life, was a recipe for disaster.

    • @TalkMyShiit

Marvin wanted peace and his Mother Gaye was his rock. She was devoted to Marvin Sr. (Husband and Wife - so her beliefs kept her there) so Marvin moved back into the Grammercy Home he bought them. She was actually dying of advanced bone cancer and it was terminal. Add drug abuse and depression and a generational curse it was a recipe for disaster that erupted on April Fool's Day 1984 which was on a Sunday.

  • @Registrosagrado
    @Registrosagrado 12 лет назад +7

On March 31, 1984, Marvin's parents had a domestic argument over misplaced business documents while Marvin, ill from drug use, lay in bed. Upon hearing this, he woke up and told his dad to leave his mother alone, though neither man physically attacked the other. The next day, April 1, the arguments started again and it's when his father shot him twice.

I read Marvin's brother's book, it depicted him more as a man whose dreams had been destroyed. Marvin was on drugs really bad and had already attempted suicide once. Frankie was the last one to see him alive while he was dying and said that marvin told him that he provoked it. I don't by any means think that reading a book makes anyone know what really happened, I'm just saying that it could have been different. The father was depicted as a devout Christian who actually was forsaking all of the money. He actually had to borrow his wife's money to go to one of those preachers conventions. When he got there and saw how the other preachers were living lavish, he just gave up.
