great to have more in the GFX line-up, I shoot with Hasselblads, H1/2 and 500c\m film based, but the long lenses are great, but you have mainly been limited to 250 or 300mm; the one caveat to this is that ALL lenses are telephotos, so you have needed tripods all the time, due in part to motion blur, the mirrors are also larger, so you have blur from that too; a revelation to be able to focus a long lens like this on such a camera wow you have made me get desire for entry into the GFX system.

Why is Fujifilm, getting rid of battery grips? I think the battery grip is almost an essential accessory. It provides a better balance when using long lenses, and as the name states it provides a more secure grip as well as provides additional power.

If you look at Nikon did they release the Nikon Z9 first which is the flagship? It's the big warship. It's the one you take to war and then they released the Z8 which is kind of like the fleet carrier that goes next to the warship it's still very good but it has some compromises but that's okay. It's pretty much what Fiji film has done with this camera. You've had the worship released first and then you release the fleet carrier second it's not a bad move. You definitely don't do it the other way around because then no one would the flagship model so releasing the flagship model first and then a slightly scaled down version is very smart marketing. Personally I waited for the scale down model I often do. I think the new GFX camera will be fantastic. It's probably what everyone has been wanting, but here's what I would've wanted but I know they're not going to release it. I want the GFX 50 to have the same X5 processor. I know in medium format that 100 megapixels is all the rage but honestly having use the 50 S mark two now for about six months I can't think of a circumstance where I needed more megapixels than what I currently have. It's insane. 100 is just off the charts it's fantastic and I am probably going to buy this new camera, but I would've loved a 50 version to be released at the same time with all the same whistles just less megapixels and that is the camera I would've purchased but not to be. And yes, I shoot professionally in Australia. The medium format look is called 3-D pop but I've got a better name for it. It's called the immersion. Essentially when you look at a really large GFX print on the wall and I do a lot of large printing. I'm talking one metre across by 700 mm down that photo you feel like you're in the scene you feel like you're standing at the city Street looking across New York when you see a large print you feel like you are at the beach in that scene looking at that wave crashing down on just takes you into the scene. It was a bit like when we first got the 4K OLEDTV that came out and you sat back and watched it. You felt like you were in the movie. I think what the GFX series does is it takes you inside the scene so I've come up with a name for myself and yes I'm a professional photographer. I call it the immersion because it has an immersive factor that no other cameras system has except for the other medium format cameras hasselblad and so on. You definitely don't get it from full frame. I can guarantee you that I've use plenty of good frame cameras in my journey but when I switched over to GFX it was a totally different ballgame. I've tripled my print sales since switching over to and I only have the GFX50s ii by the way. I cannot wait to get my hands on this new camera right? I need to rob a bank just kidding. No I will sell off some of my other gear but I will be keeping all of my GFX cameras. I've got some Nikon D8 50 gear which is still worth a fair bit of money and I will sell all of that and I'm all in Fuji no. Thanks for the video guys appreciate your work and insight and I just want to say this about Fujifilm as a company my photography is fairly well known in Australia and I've reached out to Fujifilm Australia a few times just over a few little things that I've experienced they answered my messages almost immediately they helped me find a particular lens that had allegedly gone missing from a store. They sorted things out for me. They were so helpful. I never got that from Nikon ever.
