I bought this one last month. The lume is incredible. Also, the slide lock bracelet is fantastic. Liked it so much that I just bought another in Unite in Blue dial
Been trying to decide between the blue and this one for MONTHS!!! Pulled the trigger today and ordered this one. Love the understated gray dial as a possible everyday piece.
Great review! I just bought the light blue version, and to me it keeps precise time, and the bracelet adjustment is awesome, and looks beautiful. Only let down to me is the lume, I was hoping it would come with blue lume, and green pip, but new versions always seem to change the protocol. Thanks for your perspective and great video. Cheers, Matt 👍✌️
Good job on the review. I'm currently wearing the black variant (BN0150). I've owned the OEM bracelet before selling it a bit ago. I had similar complaints about the bracelet clasp taking up too much wrist space and jutting out too much. The clasp certainly is well-made and looks the part, but every time I had it on bracelet I found myself wearing the watch way less due to the added weight and reduced ergonomics. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea.
I hated the bracelet initially for your reasons stated in the video. I would have much preferred micro adjustment or half links. My problem was that my wrist was getting pinched by that gap created when extending the bracelet adjusment. My solve for this was to reverse the bracelet (how its attached to the watch case), too avoid the pinching and also to hide the "jutting" that appears on the show side, and now having that clasp jutting out on the near side of the bracelet, not visible to others looking toward you
@@watchify1775 Yeah np. If you wear the watch upside down, you can see and feel the difference, before you go through the trouble of reversing the band in case it doesn't end up working for you
Im going to assume you meant 16.5 cm wrist 😆. In that case your wrist is about same size as mine. This watches appx 48.5 mm lug to lug distance is fine for that size wrist even with the male end links on bracelet
May I ask where I can purchase the 20mm stainless steel strap for the original E-28 watch that comes with a rubber strap? I want to replace it. Can I get a link to buy online?
Here is one longislandwatch.com/islander-20mm-brushed-solid-link-watch-bracelet-for-citizen-promaster-quartz-dive-watch-brac-35/. Probably on eBay also.
Great review! I have the black one on the original strap. It wears surprisingly comfortable. It has the same slight misalignment, not too much tho. Is there a way to adjust it?
Such great value, I don't know how they do it - having a tough time getting a strap fitted as everyone either sends watches away for fitting/service or they don't carry straps in stock. Btw, no such thing as a chapter ring or Indices in the watch world.
Hello, I appreciate your video it really helped me make my decision about purchasing the watch. I want to ask you about your particular model. Do you notice any inconsistency in the lume on the hour and minute hand? I feel like the lume is thinner around the middle of the hands. I wonder if I am seeing things or if this is a common characteristic of this model. Thanks for the great video.
Yeah. I'm pretty sure that is because of solar cell layer in between. I wasn't too hot on the orange minute hand but I know some like the splash of color
I have a Citizen solar promaster diver. I'm very disappointed with pins that move in the sharp edged bracelet, a clunky 60 click bezel with a sharp bezel insert.

Yeah that blue model is a looker as well 👍

I just got the blue version of this model, looks really good, but the grey looks nice too. 👍

What a fantastic review. Thank you Sir. I love this watch and plan to buy it this year. Really enjoy all my Citizen watches.
I'm hearing a lot of good things about Citizen recently! I have been eyeing their AW0130-85X

Great variant. Would look good on a silicone or nato.
Been looking for an in-depth review on this model. Thank you for this. I needed to know how good/bad the bracelet was.
Thanks for the review, just bought mine I'm a big dude so it should fit nice 👍
$375 au
Great video here - and well done. Very informative. Have been on the fence with this one and the blue. I do love what Citizen is doing these days.
Solid watch for sure. Have enjoyed wearing it. 😁 Yes, Citizen has a lot of potential to challenge Seiko in the affordable to semi affordable market.
Thank you for the review! I'm really considering buying this watch or the nice Citizen BN0197-08A. Tough decision 😂
Hey that BN0197-08A is a nice looking watch. I'm a sucker for a nicely done white dial 😁
I like that the handset is the same colour unlike the previous ones which have bi colour handsets.

Interesting. I might try that out. Thanks

Nicely done. Thanks for sharing this.
No Prob ! 😸
It's too bad they removed the engraved case back on the newer versions.
Oh yeah, the etched Eco-Drive globe. You are right. They should have left that.
The extension on the bracelet was made to go over a wet suit not a wrist unfortunately citizen bracelet doesn’t have micro adjustments… nice watch
Hello, beautiful model, do you know the real lug to lug of this model? It look quite junky for my 16,5 mm wrist

There are around 33 variations of this watch in total, with different colours and schemes.

Thanks! Someone could open up the watch and remove and reapply the second hand until it aligns better. I wouldn't go through that trouble though

ok so rehaut? Commonly referred to as chapter ring on mod part sites 🤷

Now that you mention it, yes. I notice the same. I really had to look hard though
The date wheel is very deep in the window, very hard to read. Nice to see the improved minute hand vs orange color
