@@morgboat744 strive is still really fun, going to locals is the peak experience to have with the game. atm though im having more fun with uni2 its a perfect balance of hard combo execution and freedom of expression
Can confirm Yang is good to learn with. Only got to play SF3S once back in college. Was playing a lot of Guilty Gear XX at the time and was able to pick him up no problem.
I just picked up 3rd Strike, and I've been having a lot of fun with Dudley. Although I can't find anyone to play with I've been enjoying the arcade mode and learning combos
I picked makoto cause she's cool. 3s is the first fighting game I've taken seriously too. Was an uphill battle but we kick some ass now. Nobody's blocking me for long.
got any key points on where to start? lol im tryna learn this game cause im bad at fighting games and i also picked makoto, or do u got any vid recommendations?
I agree with Ken/Chun. Both of them threads on basics. The other thing is I would say it's actually more difficult to learn the game with John Lee although a lot of people are going to say it's easy. Because you don't have as many get out of jail free cards your reversal sucks you have to eat pressure you have to learn to Parry.. but once you get to a high level you have the absolute best character in the game that everyone hates
Chun Li is probably the best to learn 3s with simply because she has the best normals in the game, a karattrow and super that are quite easy to do as well.
There is this Chun guide that said "If you can’t reliably confirm her crouching medium kick into super art 2, don’t give up, practice a little more. If you still can’t do it after some practice, then maybe consider giving up" and I am considering giving up cause I cannot for the love of God react with hitconfirms even when I buffer on every 2mk its so over, I played too many zoomer games like sf6 where everything has a 2 hour window to react
I know this is late and you might be doing this already but when ur fishing both cr.mk do the input for the super always so that the only thing you're hit confirming is pressing a button
Look at the HUD elements updating (enemy stun, enemy health, your super meter and most importantly your score). They update one frame earlier than when the normal connects and are easier to identify.
I've been off SFV for a bit and thinking about jumping into 3S. Guess it's not a bad idea for me to start with Yang, gonna try and find resources to to get started now lol
It’s tough for some people to get into because a lot of people feel like it’s not even really a streetfighter game it’s kind of its own thing but once you get past that all it’s the best man.
Alex, really? and Sean is a cool player to start with, because you WILL learn the basics like neutral game, timing, footsies, hit confirms...etc. By the time you get to Ken, you will feel as if the difficulty has suddenly dropped and you are sweeping through the roster.
I wouldn't put Chun in S because she is so boring to play. I picked the game up with her and almost dropped the game because I wasn't having any fun. When I swapped to ken and then makoto I was having a ton of fun.
12 is the best character in the game. When he's facing Gill with xcopy 😂 Edit: Ryu is below Oro, Urien and Gouki. They are all higher. Also denjin is highly reachable and can easily be parried for all or most hits.
I wouldn't say that's because of racism. He was top-tier in Second Impact, they just heavily nerfed him. I'm not saying Capcom isn't racist though, just see Rashid and Dhalsim.
gotta say as a strive baby who’ve been trying to learn this game, i really appreciate your frequent uploads!
oh hey that’s me rn lol. how’s it going a year later?

I actually learned 3s w Q, the kit is pretty simple to pick up and the defense can let you make a few more mistakes, especially at low level.
He is pretty good as a risk reward teacher
You whiff hp use 3hk or mp

Twelve, XCOPY, Ken, Chun & Alex. Suddenly he's S tier for learning... dood!

Not so many combos too with Chun.
You gotta be able to read your opponent and counter him\her.
Also kind of relying on heavy pokes.
Yang is the character who hooked me. Idrky but the game just clicked with him. I never even like fei long or anthing
grilled lamb with herbee rice and some kind of little cucumber/parsley,tomato salad mixture is basically my ideal meal any time
🤤
on point list for "learning the game with". almost instantly placed them all too
Chun Li is probably the best to learn 3s with simply because she has the best normals in the game, a karattrow and super that are quite easy to do as well.
I learned 3s with Hugo... as a grappler main its the logical choice!

Necro was always my favourite, took ages to feel like I learned him though. Took a few hours to feel like I knew Alex lmao
I just got the 30th anniversary edition yesterday and have been learning with Ryu and Ibuki. I love those two, especially Ibuki.
Didn't watch yet, but Ken and Chun are the best characters to learn the game with. Ken high tier Chun top tier. And both easy to play.
Yeah! That makes sense!
as a ryu player he feels like the easiest character in the game
get kd, denjin, parry into ex, kara throw

did you end up giving 3rd strike a chance? what did you think and one year on, are you still playing?
Dudley is so cool!
My guy seriously put yun in B tier
I be really at the worlds strongest laboratory, salute chief
Question: what food did you end up getting?
I think i went a local burger place. It was aiiiiight
what song playing at 3:15?

I mean it helps that you don't really have to learn combos with Alex because he doesn't have any
@@ividboy7616 its like he came out differently than what the producers wanted.
great video!
I tried learning 3S with Q... ooch
Sean can’t be that bad. Not worse than Twelve.
Played Street Fighter for the first time today (2 and 3) and this is the tier list I came up with
The one you think is the coolest. So Dudley and Q.
Necro is my main
Ken
Alex
Dudley
And somehow I got a pocket Sean
I learned with Gouki
I wouldn't put Chun in S because she is so boring to play. I picked the game up with her and almost dropped the game because I wasn't having any fun. When I swapped to ken and then makoto I was having a ton of fun.
You can only say that to Urien cuz you main Hugo 😆
Yun is B tier? really?
fuck this I'm maining 12
Akuma
I feel as though ken should be S-tier we've all seen that evo moment ken vs Chun (Daigo vs Wong)
easiest to learn with is ken
12 is the best character in the game.
When he's facing Gill with xcopy 😂
Edit: Ryu is below Oro, Urien and Gouki. They are all higher. Also denjin is highly reachable and can easily be parried for all or most hits.
Ryu can change up timing on Denjin to mess up your parries. The timing is a mix up in and of itself
@@shadysheister I know that, I actually used to play this game. It was my main fighter for a long ass while.
@@bigshorty4855 I’m not saying it isn’t possible. Just saying it’s easier said than done.
@@shadysheister honestly most of the time I could parry it on reaction.
@@bigshorty4855 you’re definitely way better than I will ever be then. 😂 no cap or sarcasm, I get fucked by Denjin basically every time

It's funny how you two cry racism and then conveniently ignore the African woman in B-tier...
EDIT: Sorry, A-tier at the end of the video.
