Making a Peacock Eye Bowl - Full Process

  • Making a cereal bowl out of stoneware clay.
    A full description of the process is available as subtitles.
    The design comes entirely from the stamped pattern in the surface, and the glaze flowing over it. There are no stages missing from the glazing process.

    That's the first time I've seen a turntable which holds the clay on a removable plate.
    It seems like such an obvious improvement.

      @@travelwell6049 of having to cut the clay from the turntable to put it somewhere to dry. Possibly deforming it in the process.

    Please, what size is the Rotary Burr Carving Tool you use to make the eyes? I think it's either a 1/4" or 1/2" shank. The link on your website is for smaller rotary tools that would make the eye tiny.

    Beautiful another pottery RUclips had been trying to learn to use that Cobalt wash glaze but she recovers it with no instructions or directions. She has looked it up but I don't think she groks it yet. I will try to share this video.
