Im not a potter, nor will I become one. Ive watched several of your vids, tho, and shall watch more. It is fascinating to watch and your tee shirt collection is spectacular!
This particular pattern you've developed for your pieces is nothing less than stunning! I enjoy seeing the process as much as the finished product. Beautifully done!
Thank you so much for posting the making of this GORGEOUS bowl. Each step was fascinating to me (having only learned how to use a pottery wheel mere weeks ago), but the glaze reveal at the end was MAGNIFICENT.
Totally amazing work at 1st I was like what is that guy doing with the laser I laughed and then I saw how Awesome the work was so I became a subscriber
So much fun to watch, I kept waiting to hear The Unchained Melody song from the movie Ghost to play in the background while you were turning. Just being cheeky with you. Beautiful beautiful work!
This bowl is sooo gorgeous! Watching the process was very hypnotic. I seriously need and want my own art studio so I can explore and create all kinds of things, be it pottery like this, or whatever else takes my imagination out to space in a good way. 😁😁
The glaze is made up of powered materials, some of which are metallic oxides (like titanium and cobalt). These have a certain colour in their raw form, but have a different colour when melted together with the other ingredients to form a glass. The colour and pattern change is due to that difference
I love all your work. I purchased several items from you in the past. Love them all! Where can I purchase the tool for the divots for the peacock bowl?
Great design and innovative technique. Do I presume the first dip to be a whitish glaze and the second pour in a blue glaze or underglaze? Thanks A mind blowing technique
I didn't make it myself, it's actually an old lithographic printing stone. I'm not actually sure what it's made of but it's solid and slightly porous so it works well. If I were making one I'd probably just use plaster though
Fantastic, but I absolutely DO NOT understand how that pattern occurred. I recognize the exterior compressing of the clay, but I don't understand the internal transfer nor the final glaze pattern. Is there a video explaining how this occurs?
If you look closely the exterior stamp also causing an internal doming pattern, so when the glaze is heated it naturally drips down around these dome shapes inside
Me the whole video - Mhm, mhm, yes, very interesting. This is an artisan.
Me at 13:49 - This is a witch! Dark sorcery!
This design with the glaze combination you have selected is absolutely marvelous. Beautiful work!
What glazes have you used
That's the first time I've seen a turntable which holds the clay on a removable plate.
It seems like such an obvious improvement.
Improvement on what?
@@travelwell6049 of having to cut the clay from the turntable to put it somewhere to dry. Possibly deforming it in the process.
@@MrAntiKnowledge I don't know how people don't distort all their projects when they take them off the wheel wet. I certainly do.
@@MrAntiKnowledge they're called bats and they are lifesavers! ☺️
It is just pure delight to watch a master. I love that RUclips gives us the opportunity to watch masters at work. It’s fascinating!
It is such a joy to see a true craftsman make a thing of beauty. And so soothing.
soothing is what i thought also

I fully agree with the tee shirt comment, I loved Calvin and Hobbs one!!
Same. It's memorizing. As much as I like his info on different glazes and such, I enjoy the creative process the most

Most impressive. i wonder what that grey mix has to make it look from a grey liquid to those blue and white colors.
Astonishing! ( I also love the artist’s t-shirts)
This turned out beautiful. I need this guy to knead my homemade bread for me!
Thank you for sharing your technique! Would you be willing to share the name of the blue glaze? I see some of your other glazes on Glazy.

GORGEOUS
So beautiful, are these for sale?
Beautiful! But i'm confused! Where did the blue colours come from because i didn't see him use any blue paint or ink?
Lovely!
These are beautiful. Are you using flux on these to run or is it just the particular glazes you’re using?
Following.
This is a stunning bowl. Do you make your own glazes or do you buy pre-made ones?
@00:16 the clay is worked before using. Can anyone tell me why? Beautiful job!
Kneading the clay makes it more malleable and easier to shape, also removes air bubbles which could damage the piece during firing
Beautiful! Would love to know how you made your wedging table.

Yep, that one is 28, although I do use pretty much the full range of them for different sized pieces
@@OldForgeCreations Thank you. 😊
How pretty 😍
Hey! good job!!! what are your bats made of ?? what type of wood ? Thank You!
Yep, they're wood. I believe it's water resistant MDF, but would have to check that
What glaze did you use on the inside of the bowl…blue?
Beautiful!!
Enjoyed your video very much. What is the tool that you use to shape the foot, undercut? I like the result very much.
That is so cool
I love them... they're beautiful... I would like Bathroom sink like that...
The color is absolutely gorgeous! Do you ship?
