- Drop CTRL Review - Is It Still Worth Buying?
In today's video, I discuss my experience in using the Drop CTRL. I've owned this mechanical keyboard for coming up on 2 years and used it for over 6 months.
Side note: I should mention I enjoy looking at the internals of mechs. Maybe in the future when I have more time I can include those details in my reviews. 😊

Funny, just made a DZ60 WKL with Zelios v2 switches, tofu aluminum base, carbon fiber plate and SA caps … and now your review makes me just want to buy this prebuilt lol. I love the way the keycap style goes with the case. Your placemat and RGB typing demo was awesome. The lack of PCB stabs is annoying. I really like the Halo Trues, have used them for a couple months. But they sound really loud in the typing demo, wonder if that’s the solid aluminum case or the echoing of the room? I think that the case is amplifying it, sounded like a cherry blue. Thanks for all the details!
Lol. I'm telling you, it seems to always be like that. You finish one build and next thing you know you're checking out a new mech. Thank you! I tried to switch it up. I think it's a combo of both. However, I agree it's a little more of echoing in the room, which creates a higher ping on the aluminum case. I'm in the process of working on some changes and hopefully, this allows for better typing sound videos as well. I feel like typing sound videos require a little more higher quality audio equipment to come close to the true sound and minimizes the potential to hear distracting background noises. Thank you so much for your positive feedback! Have a great week!
Very interesting! How did you become so fascinated with keyboards???👍👍👍
How's it going Marvin? It is quite interesting! To save you from a long drawn out story lol... I wanted to get into using gaming keyboards with the whole RGB setup and everything. Once I bought my first one made by Redragon, it was up from there... I made my first video about that purchase and was intrigued about the details of mechanical keyboards. Then I stumble across other channels like Taekeyboards with dedicated keyboard reviews, and became obsessed from there. Hope you're doing well and thanks for support! ☺️
