    I would say two of the things thats also damaging to the brain are 1.Routine. Routine habits as this doesnt stimulate the thought process. It works like a presaved map in your brain. Changing routines, Doing things differently creates alertness and an improved ability to think. 2. An Idle mind. Its important to engage in activities that stimulate the brains processes and functions of thought and recognition. Reading, working on Problem solving and analytical material, brain challenge questions etc... Doing things creatively etc... helps develop the brain and improves alertness.

    Very very very valuable lesson we have here.
    For me, I need to sleep enough as I feel I need to, stop over eating, drink more water, eat less sugar, do not listen to music too loud, stop skipping breakfast, do more exercises, and should avoid letting my head covered when sleeping.
    I will do my best =_=

    Skipping breakfast doesn't affect negativly the brain. It all depends on your calories balance. Actually intermitting fasting can even help your brain. Intermitting hunger has always a good effect on the whole body, especially the immune system

    I think the skipping breakfast part is an old one. Nowadays scientist are encouraging people to skip breakfast or just having 1-2 meals a day only as much as possible to extend fasting state, which helps the body be more healthy.

    I eat breakfast, but I wait until noon or later to "break" my "fast". I make sure I fast for 16 hours and then eat. I am calmer and have better focus.

    Sleeping too much and laying in bed too much is something I’m having issue with. I added a chair in my room to remind me to sit in it. I was having confidence problems walking where I freeze in open spaces. Too much sitting in bed is bad. Also drink only half a cup of coffee because any more for me at least caused more anxiety.

    Good advice - except for skipping breakfast! Our body is wired for skipping meals - how else would our ancestors have survived? The 3 meal a day ‘idea’ is really very recent and not always helpful. Intermittent fasting has hugely positive physiological effects especially on the brain; children however should always have a healthy breakfast

      Many wake up every 3 hours, very bad but cause nay be ENF disturbance or overhead planes, satellites . I have this problem long term which led to tinnitus I hear all frequencies around my area. Many now also have this. And they want electric cars with charging stations all over , a sesspool of toxins!!!!!!

      My issue is that I start work at 5:30AM. I already get up at 4:30 in order to shower, and I cannot fall asleep earlier than 10PM. My brain just won't shut off. Soooo I have zero minutes to eat breakfast in the morning.

    I often miss breakfast because i work mornings. Sometimes i don't eat until 4:30 in the afternoon. Sometimes i do lose sleep due to the fact i work in the morning and evening. I don't drink alcohol or smoke. I minimize sugar intake. I exercise by mainly riding a mountain bike everywhere i go.

    I have always sleep five& half to six hours nightly. I am under doctor's care and only eat one meal per day. I have released 80 lbs & no longer on meds. Be careful when you paint with a broad brush.

    My concentration is bad. I'm finding it hard to learn new things. I can't seem to absorb information -like if someone is explaining something new to me. I'm a ex heavy drinker and done a lot of the negative actions like on this video. I'm wondering if it's too late or is there a chance I can make my brain healthy again. Is there any help out there??     I don't eat breakfast, my 1st meal will be around noon and I try to stop eating by 4pm. It takes about 16-18 hours to activate autophagy. Intermittent fasting is beneficial

    First thing I do when I wake up is drink a glass of water with a freshly squeezed whole lime and take a massive morning dump followed by a cold shower and then I eat a light breakfast afterwards. Works great and keeps me going.

    The 4 one is wrong or inadequate because there is something called “the fasting” which u don’t eat for a while. The most popular one is to let your body digests 16 hours (with sleep) and 8 hours (eat time lunch-dinner)
    There are many advantages, first of all is to increase ur body protection, less button and so more.
    Secondly before we didn’t eat so many and so often so it is not worth to spend time to eat breakfast when you can eat more when it is lunch or dinner

      I heard that so much that I tested it out. You could do the same. Put your head under the covers for half an hour or an hour, and, with your head still under there, use a pulse oximeter to check your blood oxygen level. Then, half an hour or so later, put on a mask and wear it for the same length of time, and measure the level of oxygen in your blood.

    me eat sweets when i can
    sleeping 6 hours on average
    never use headphones
    never slept with my head under the blanket
    i eat anything but not a binge eater
    i only do one thing at a time
    i dont smoke
    i only drink occasionally
    i skip breakfast
    if sick i stay home but not often
    no exercising
    i drink water, it all depends on the weather or the situation of the work that i am doing.

    I don't agree with the skipping breakfast, I eat just twice a day in 6 hours and only drink water for remaining 18 hours, my head is much clearer and my eyesight improved, I have more energy. The breakfasts people eat today, processed cereals, toast, fruits, coffee with sugar, breakfast pastries etc is all starch and sugar which not only raises your blood sugar but affects your brain, It is also important to exercise your brain as much as your body. Reading, learning new language, watching ballet or opera, listening to classical music, learning a new skill. Idle brain dies as much as unused muscles

      1/ the more you use your BRAIN the more Sugar it consumes! So you need Sugar

      Yes, I skip breakfast too, but also I try to eat low carbs and nutrients dense foods and not just anything. I ate 2 meals a day, so I need enough nutrients for that.
