That last shot of the kitties in the windows was gold!!! Love the explanation that they are on opposite ends of the chateau and have never met. I think that would make for an interesting children's book.

Something about the peace and tranquility. I love the donkeys! They are so cute, quiet too! We have a neighbor a few doors down and I can hear theirs, it's so funny. Your garden bed is going to be beautiful! I'm going to do ours the same way as you are, cardboard, dirt, compost. What a difference in the weather from the previous video. It has been warm and spring like here, but now it is snowing.
You guys must be tired. That was a lot of work.

The work is never done, it is the nature of the beast. It is a joy and at the same time a burden, but the joy usually out weighs the physical labor required to keep the place looking good. So pace yourself, it will never be done, but the journey will be glorious. I love to walk the land and see each day what nature has done while I was not looking. The Bumblebee at the flowers, one of my favorite sights to see in springtime. Soon they will be enjoying the blooms of my Texas Mountain Laurel, that has beautiful purple flower sprays that smell like grape kool-aid. (I kid you not) The Bumbles love it! Enjoy the fun and thank you for sharing.

Lists write lists and tick them off as you complete them. Everyday try to achieve as much as you can. And enjoy the journey. The only pressure is what we place on ourselves. It’s not a race. Just do what you can everyday. And if you don’t want to work for a couple of days so what. If you take time to rest and think. You will come back with renewed vigour. The list you have may be overwhelming. if you expect to get it done very quickly and all at once it will overwhelm you. Just do one thing at a time slowly slowly catchy monkey. And feel good about your achievements. Pat yourself on the back. If it was someone else you would probably be kinder to them than you are to yourself.

That said ...here are my favorite & very effective chill pills (most double as sleep aides, so one must consult a Naturopath, or experiment with what works & how much without putting one under ...to sleep that is): Chelated Magnesium, L-Tyrosine, Passion Flower, Holy Basil, Gaba, and yes even Melatonin (I use Melatonin three hours before bedtime before it affects me but that could be much less time for others & it helps me relax in the evening & worries melt away). I can take Magnesium & Tyrosine during the day without getting sleepy, but that may be different for others. The rest I use several hours before bedtime ...alternating their use & not all at the same time.

Always enjoy the updates! Try not to feel too stressed out. You have accomplished so much since I first started watching your videos. You have a large property and lots of renovations to keep you busy. Doesn't matter if you don't finish tomorrow or the next day or next week or next year, just enjoy the experience. Keep up the good work and just trust in the process. Whenever I start a new project I just do what I can each day and am grateful that I still have the energy and physical ability to do things. In the end it is all so satisfying to look back on. I do a large garden myself every year and while it is quite a bit of work and upkeep I do love just sitting in my finished garden and enjoying nature at the end of the day.

I’m late to the party watching your posts. I don’t know much about your story. But I’m learning. Try to look on the bright side - YOU ARE IN FRANCE!
You have a plan and you have each other❤️
    What a wonderful adventure. 😅

You two have gotten so much done inside and out over the past couple of years! It is always more overwhelming in the springtime with more to do. But make sure you stop and smell the flowers and enjoy your French lifestyle. 😊 I always love seeing the donkeys and cats. They are so cute and funny! The cats on opposite sides of the chateau! 😂

Is it just me or is there something really satisfying about listening to the donkeys crunching on carrots?😁

I’m improving my French on Duolingo, it’s not easy, we’re touring about in a few months, Normandy, Brittany, Loire and 2 days not sure where yet.
Anyway veg gardening is like a full time job on its own imo.

Apart from the farmer cutting the fallen tree
You are doing all the renovation yourselves and it is just amazing
It is incredibly hard work and yet there is so much poetry and softness in all you share
You make me smile and feel that life keeps so much excitement in store
    Thank you ❤️

You are so committed to doing things environmentally well - have you ever considered having some of your land made into wild flower fields?

You have some wonderful farmer neighbors. They made fast work of cleaning up that huge tree, that was a lot of work! Those are wonderful neighbors to have. It is still so cold, and very wet, where I am. I’m looking forward to spring and working in my garden. 🌷Love your videos Amanda!
