Was it difficult for your son to eat the hogs that he was raising? I don't think I could do it. It was sad seeing the hogs going to the slaughterhouse. I guess that is why I can't raise farm animals for consumption or eat meat. However, at least you know what is going into your body when you eat meat unlike what you buy at stores.
It is at first. It’s even hard for me at times. I just explain to him the reason behind raising our own meat. He understands that every animal on the farm has a purpose and that the purpose for the hogs is to feed our family. He understands but it is still hard at times. Mainly when they are young and cute.

We do!! You can see some of them in the background. I think this year we plan on hatching more eggs to grow the flock for more meat production!
