Here at Calvey Homestead, we are trying to become as self-sufficient as possible. We grow a garden every year and raise a good portion of our own meat. We also try to support local farms as much as possible. We love cooking, canning, and preserving. We are lucky enough to have other family members who live this lifestyle as well. Right now my must haves at Sam's when I go.....special k bars, kraft mayo, some spices, and some paper products. I really don't care for their meats here. Costco meats are much better. I was lucky to receive for Xmas a half cow and half pig! So it's really hard right now to walk by meat counters, but I do. I am so used to shopping sales and stocking up when meats are on sale. Thank you SO much!!!! I haven’t been in Costco. There is one about the same distance as Sams from us. Do you think it’s worth getting e membership there too? We don’t typically buy meats so it wouldn’t be for that.
And that is an amazing Christmas present!!! 😍😍
It’s hard to pass up sales for me too! Sometimes I just cannot resist!
