I have 2 Whites Coin Master GTs both started acting funny within a month never used them again.Cant wait to do this I had no idea those came apart, always assumed it was sealed to protect the coil. Got 4 machines in total yeah winter project gonna start Thanks Boss.
@@freedomdiggersmetaldetecti8964 guess that eliminates that from my trouble shooting list.Any suggestions as to what might be next to check for that messy signal all the time
Absolutely not! That'll void the warranty on the coil, not to mention it'll have to be redone every so often. This video is under 2 minutes- that's all it takes to clean it.

The coinmaster GT coil is one piece. There is no cover to remove. I started with one myself.

@BHM711 Try fresh batteries and make sure your coil connection at the control box is tight.

Thanks for the support!
I have been using spray on truck bed liner for the bottom of my coils.
Instead of a coil cover or in addition to it? Did you take off the factory cover & spray it on?
No coil cover. I just sprayed the bottom.
Ah.
Smart Tip thanks
Thanks for dropping in!
I'm afraid to open mine, never done it, only had the detector 3 months though, but ive been through sand, mud and mulched grass in that time
If your detector starts misbehaving you'll know where to look first!
After every time I go out detecting I take off the cover and clean it out. It only takes a couple of minutes to clean it.
It's super easy & very important!
In the name of prevention being better than cure - try sealing the guard with a ring of silicone.
