man ole jrod really knows his stuff, im so glad he got his own space and is making it happen, you tell he was deff a master ase
Car wizard has praised him several times and now we know why. He’s more serious here than with tavarish
@@jsimsgt96 the "wizard" is not a wizard and he's a joke. I absolutely can't stand him and never have. A real master mechanic would work on pretty much everything, but yet he refuses to work on a bunch of stuff that's way easier than German and exotic junk. Jared is a true master mechanic and he's one of the most hard working guys I've ever seen and knows more than most every "RUclips mechanic" because he's not a YT mechanic and doesn't need to create drama and act for a camera. He is incredible for the true automotive community. I'd love to have a video of him just talking about what he did prior to this and everything about him. I enjoy knowing these people.
This is why I love that you guys show your mistakes and what you did to correct them. Truly adds value to the video.
Jared, you're such a presenter with explaning things to us that do not understand everything that easily so that those will become understandable. Thanks!
Did Duane the Editor actually add smell-o-vision to the gear oil draining? Well played sir, well played!
I literally laughed out loud at this. My thought process went something like "Hey look, Jared's favorite thing! Gear Oil... are those stink lines on the time lapse? BWAHAHAHA"
@@judahcanaan7015 used marine gear oil is actually worse that that Ford stuff.
I thought it was parasites
Gear oil the only automotive smell I can't stand
You ever smell diff oil? Thats the one oil you don't wanna get on your clothes. It's disgusting smelling.
Another great video - both the mechanic lesson and the editing. Thanks!!!
This rebuild is getting kinda out of hand
I love it
Great work Jared. It is you VS a entire shop and I hope you dominate them. 👍
This build off has been great, and entertaining
Thank you and Brent for a pair of great series
Cool build... I just can't help keep admireing at Johnny Reb out back(great truck)
Keep it up Jared, you will figure it out, get rest when you can and keep going!
Man I love the build off you and Brent are doing!!! Can't wait for the race. Its going to be awesome. Pretty sure it will be close too.
Incredible job man!!! You being a perfectionist is what is needed on this build! I always love your builds and the work that you explain
I do love your vast knowledge you have Jared! Thank you for making these videos!
Been waiting so long for this!! Love these build series between you two. Best thing on youtube atm
Thanks for taking us all along for a deep dive into your rear end Jared!
Love the episode, great way to end with a twist and give some good tech along the way!!
Love your enthusiasm and the I won't quit attitude. Go Jared!¡!!!!!!!!!
Your attitude and knowledge makes me keep coming back following your builds this is great.

When my rear end doesn't work I ain't movin' fast either. 😅
This can mean so many different things. I wanna be a smartass but I won't say anything lol
Me to!!! It socks to get old,! LMAO
Honda Vs.Toyota/Chevy/Ford . Not sure why but this just makes me feel like it’s more fair now. Hondas Rule!
It really is a patchwerk car
Excited about this race, torn on who to root for Brent is such a great guy it's hard to not want him to win but honestly the same can be said about you.
Love watching all of your projects, big fella! And, Duane, excellent call on the stinky graphics! 🤣You've been choosing some pretty banging tunes here and on T's channel, too!
Great job editing Dwayne, love the banger while he was removing the rear. Great choice to make my rear happy!
Just got an sc400. Absolutely love to see this. Keep up the great work, Jared!
Jared your a great car builder, I appreciate the way you explain things, why something does work & why something won’t work. Australia fan.🇦🇺
Love the techno for time lapse, best time lapses in the business
Man, Jared making that lurching noise describing the smell is never good while you're eating lunch at the same time. I'm not hungry anymore...lol
What a project this is a cannot wait to see it finished
Awesome video man!
Great Content! I hope the younger generations watch this and get into projects themselves!
The stink lines and flies @ 6:27 is exactly how I feel anytime I smell gear oil. That stuff smells sooo bad!!
The flies might actually be real, I love editor Duane’s touch to the videos!
informative.! motor looks good at home finally. excited to see it light off again . love seeing the ls international in the background. i love that truck. still wanna buy your scout. cheers buddy always look forward to new episodes. pay attention kids you will learn something . buy merch
Awesome episode Jared!
Haha! Surprise!! Yay! Well done Jared, excited for the next instalment 😁
That intro!!!! 🔥 🔥
Thanks for this episode. I’m doing an explorer swap in my Monte Carlo. This gave me some light on how to do it.
Man! You got me at the end of the video. Love the channel!
I personally don't suffer with it but it was a nice touch the photosensitive warning when welding.
To be a little more clear on the 8.8 rear end in stock form under certain speeds and with certain tires they can be drag raced, just not at any speed close to what this car will be
Awesome sauce, glad you are making it work
This channel really show your skills. One can wonder how one can have so much skills!
Ridiculous! I love it!
ah, that big sunshine smile at the end really brightens the room.
I hope Jared does a science segment explaining how some drag cars go up in the rear end on launch instead of squatting way down. That has confused me for a while.
I’ll make a note to go into that when we are building up the shock mounts !
Drag radial cars are designed to push the rear of the car into the ground which lifts the body. Traditional slick cars act more like you're thinking of.
@@nitroram33 so tires change the physics of motion? idk about that... i mean maybe if the carisn't actually hooking i could see how it would lift the rear but no matter what tire you're running the object is to get the power to the ground and make it go, which is gonna weight transfer from the front to the back causing the back to have more "weight " or force causing it to squat
@@Hard_Right Not the tires themselves doing it, but the suspension is set up differently depending on what tire they're running. Feel free to Google it.
@@Hard_Right it's the shocks mainly ,
drag racing shocks are designed to transfer weight to the rear,
that's why some front drag shocks are rated at 90/10 rather than the usual street car setting of 50/50 ish,
of course this is the simplified version
there is a lot more involved in a drag car suspension/tyre/chassis combo
Loved the ending 🎉
10.99 and faster require C-clip eliminators and it is not just the Ford 8.8, slightly misleading saying it the way you did Jarod but it is a smart thing to remove from the equation for safety!! Always lots of good info, looking good!!
i think even this dude should be able to make this car faster than 10.99 ... probably not a whole bunch faster but still 🤣
Good luck with it all mate I hope it all works out for you mare
29:21 LOL. Yes they are. But it wasn't actually Cleetus that taught many of us at first that "Hoods are optional". It was Road Kill when they were constantly over heating after reviving a clunker and putting it on the road or on their way to Alaska in that early episode. They almost made it a mantra LOL.
Great work!
Looking awesome!!👍🏻
The stink lines lol... great work Mr. Editor
I have done pads, coils, plugs and oil changes, but I am not a mechanic. After watching years of your videos, i have become an expert non mechanic! 😅🏁🍾❤️
I cannot wait to see (witness) the day that Derek (VGG Guy) comes to your Shop to assist with a Project...
That would be "Utube Candy" to me!
That's crazy. I've seen the end results of that breaking but I never knew that's what caused it. I'm not the most well educated man in the 8.8 Ford, so this is amazing to me.
There's still lots to do, but it's getting there. I can't wait to see it rip down the track. Brent blew his car down to the shell and started over, knocking out weight all along the way. It's going to be super light, and super powerful, and I think it's going to be AWD. I think it may have some lexan glass going in, carbon dash too. He's taking out pounds and adding back ounces. I think you're gonna have to put the Lexus Lux pig on a diet, and go back and trim down some useless weight out of that thing. Every ounce counts when trying to go fast, and Honda Heads like Brent are masters at it. Cage and frame matter, but inner door structure? Rear quarter panel inner bracing? Naw, cut some of it out. Speed Holes using a die in structures you want to keep strong but thin down. Lots more to do! Would also love to see Derek Beiri, BIFB Crew, Wizard and Tavarish head to GA to lend you a hand with assembling and testing. Lots of travel/hotel $$$, plus none of those people have time, but would still enjoy an all hands on deck thrash to get this thing thinned down, tuned up, and ready to rip.
You show your mistakes and fix them. Best builder🤘😎👍
Hello Jared
Thank you for another Great Video 👍I understand your disappointment. But it will come together and run as you plan to!!!! Again thank you 😊
I think the whole idea about the race with PFI Speed is that you have to show up with a running car, at least…!🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️
When Jared was talking about having the axle shaft coming out if it broke was a great time to show a picture of what happened to Johnny Rev, when Jared broke it...the first time.
Nicely done Jared! I think the Honda will be good competition!
Hey bro sorry but it's not a I think in this if the Honda will be good comp. It most definitely will be n it's AWD K series swap n turbo so u know its gonna make at least 800hp
I like the music you choose for this video!!!!!
Much respect for your skillset…great Vlog…would love to see you have a crack at some exotica (Unimog) etc…
wow shocking build glad ur fixing it, i would use the cars factory body shock towers & completely diff rear end set up lexus/skyline set ups good for 1800bhp with modded parts
Feel bad for all those who stopped at the end screen the first time. Well played Jared!
can't wait to see that running and winning some race.
After preheating the parent metal on the axle housing and new ends wouldn't it be stronger to Arc weld with 6010 or 6011 rod, then coverpass with a 7018 rod? I guess It would be harder to not accidently over penetrate onto the jig rod you had running through the middle
Finally sc content!!!
You got me with the outro
My 4 year old daughter sits, stares and listens to Jared, intently. Soon as the music comes on, she is up and dancing. The second Jared starts talking, she parks it. She loves you Jared matey.
I don't know how you were so calm. I wonder how many people got it. All of your holes in the chassis were for a mid plate that was wrong. In hindsight I would tell myself to check that plate on the block first but... well... we - as humans - don't always do what seems - in hindsight - as judicious. Damnation man, I feel for you on this one.
I KNEW IT! As soon as you said 8.8 I yelled out "C-CLIPS!" Also, 3.08 is what's stock in my Towncar, I'm keeping it and adding a modified Trac lock with the F-150 S spring and carbon clutches...
That mid plate thing blows!! Keep rockin man. DAMMIT, Ya GOT Me!!
Nice twist at the ending!
Looking good good job
PS, good work bro from Aust 👍
Oh come on Jared, that travel looks at least 6 1/2 inches, got me bruh?
I like that you added the photosensitivity warning to your welding shots 👍
Nice built but why the headers pointing front i dont get it i already had one toyota soarer with the v8 and it suppose to fit with the header normally?
You’ll see soon!
I like your first tool of choice to install engine "SAWJALL". I purfer "BFH" lol!
Jared went wiggle wiggle with the rod, and bust tha c outa there 🤣🤣
Jared seeing his ugly weld and cutting straight to the ground down finished axle is a whole mood
We used to soak a rag with that limited slip additive and throw it under the troopers seat without them knowing 🤣🤣
Yay! A microphone, I can finally hear you properly.
I'm waiting for somebody to do a mustache for the car with the exhaust, it'd look ridiculous, but hey, your car has a smokey 'stache...lol
Need to shout out the editing. On point as always. Not said enough i think
Thank you Mike! This one was produced on a small MacBook Air…in a hotel room…in Shelby, NC…while on a business trip. Glad it came out well :) -Duane the Editor
@@decaharms hilarious that your comment is "edited " too 🤣
Yeah, I can’t help it. I have to edit something everywhere I go!
Jared really throwing some shade on Chris, Oscar, & Kyle.
Those guys are friends, they didn’t build the entire car, Chris got it as is and then he did some modifications to it.
With a nice clean cut in the hood like on corvette it will still look sleeper kinda.. as long as the turbos aren't high too 😅
Im juvenile af. 😂 @5mins i started chuckling
Interesting way to finish/grind the welds on the axle ends. Can’t say I have seen that before.
One big reason was I decided to built it up relatively flush, so there was a lot of weld on it, totally unnecessary for strength, but when you run 4 beads along each other you generally sand them down
@@TheQuestionableGarage That makes more sense. I could not really tell what happened later in the welding stages/grinding based on what was in the video.
Was there a motor build/install video for the charger "ute"? I cant find nothin, help me out somebody pls :)
Why does he Jared have the exact cadence as the guys from the show Power Nation? LOL
Jared, I know what you mean about the disgusting smell of Gear/LSD oil. I use Castrol B373LSD oil in the transmission of my 1977 Porsche 3.3L 911RSR and it stinks. The good news is that if you ever have a transmission seal leak, it will be very quickly detected from the smell of rotting shark.
Jrod He teased us with the engine not going in. Nice job.....
Cut the mid plate in the center and bolt the side that won't line up down and plate it where you cut it... unless they don't line up At all. Looks like it's crinkled up a little..
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼amazing
very well used diff oil from a london taxi has a certain wiff about it,
but the worst odour imo is single decker 'hoppa' buses that use an auto box
from a mercedes 200 series car 4 speed, when they are driven till they totally cook the fluid
melt the forward drive clutch pack & no longer drive forwards the smell from them
will make you puke, like we had to sit in london traffic middle of summer for hours with
a fried box in an open van and both of us would get weird headaches, have to stop and air out the van
and often be off work the next day feeling very unwell, burnt up ATF stinks but these buses was a whole
different level, they got so hot the temp sticker on the casing pegged at 400C would melt & wrinkle up
ICT Billet located is good ole Wichita KS
Seeing you use a lift while working makes me jealous I have too work on my car with no garage no lift in the snow and ice in Alaska in the winter at -15 too -25 weather
Its going to ripp!
For Bobs sake Jared, put some tap magic on the tap, or at least use some thick oil or gear lube. Makes thread cutting much easier. lol
