People saying "no one can replace chester" this is true. Everyone is unique. But there's nothing wrong with keeping his lyrics alive through performance. Chester tragically ended his life, but remember, the music was written by multiple people. It was a joint effort. There is no reason for everyone else to stop playing the music they wrote. Keep it alive I say.
Hey it's the singer from the In The End LP tribute band! I met him and all of the other members after the show! They were awesome people! I got a pick from their guitarist that day! If I remember correctly, the singer said how he got to be in the band by being at a party he was invited to and met the drummer, and the drummer asked him if he wanted to join. So that's all history.

It's not a debut album. The original Grey Daze started off with the album 'Wake Me' whose vocalist was Chester. And 'Amends' was also Chester, except the other people recreated it and added LOTS of autotune.
because of all of you, bums, who say "stop that, there's nothing like Chester, you are 0, nothing, blah blah blah..." we still don't have Linkin Park back. yes, no one can replace Chester and there's no one like him. but it's really important for us, for real Linkin Park fans, to keep his music, his legacy alive, to hear HIS songs at least once again and see the rest of the band live, together. we miss Chester but we all now miss Mike, Joe, Dave, Brad and Rob as well. let them bring back their music, to keep it alive even if it's with a new guy
I'd say it's a very different situation. Grey Daze basically haven't existed for like 20 years, then they decided to come back, but before they could, they lost their singer. So they basically got to rebuild the band (they brought in a new guitarist and now a new touring singer). They had the momentum of working on an album and they used it. Plus, music wasn't their job (not sure about Mace, but surely it wasn't Sean's job) and the band is still relatively unknown. Most people don't know their songs and won't insist on hearing some of them at every show. They had nothing to lose, they just found a new singer, went to a local music festival and played a show. Linkin Park on the other hand, has 5 original members and are one of the most famous bands in the world. Music is their job and perhaps they're not all ready to come back. Given the lineup hasn't changed since their first album, I doubt they'd just want to leave somebody behind. They gotta think about their legacy and about the stakes. People know them, they know their music and most of them will insist on hearing the old songs and will be disappointed if the singer (or anything else) isn't up to the band's standard, which has been very high over the years. It's clearly not that simple (or it's not something they want to do). The 5 guys know they don't have to come back if they don't want to. They had their success, they got their money, and some of them are fathers now and I'm sure they're happy to invest the time in their family instead. Also, people experience loss and grief differently. Some are ok with some things, some aren't and maybe will never be. We don't know how anyone of us would have felt in the same situation.
