I honestly think Chester was a once in a lifetime vocalist who never got to show his true range or full talent even though he has solidified his place in the world of singer. Truly will he missed
Not surprised that Chester can sing like Layne, they actually have extremely similar vocal types and styles. In both cases, the inflections they use as well as their bonkers distortion mask the fact that they are really light tenors, or more accurately, Layne is probably on the high end of baritone and Chester is probably on the low end of tenor. They both use techniques where they darken their voices past what their natural timbre is, although Chester also sings brightly more often than Layne does and spends more time in his mask than Layne, who typically has resonance set further back in his voice. They both have very well developed mixed chest voice and typically belt mixed chest notes rather than letting their voice creep fully into head voice register - they're both really good, like impossibly good, at keeping that connection. They both sing with extremely, almost impossible to comprehend, levels of support, which is why, even at times when their health has suffered, they still sounded much stronger than they had any right to sound. So if we agree that Chester sings in a very similar way to Layne, and has a naturally slightly higher pitched voice, it stands to reason that there's not much Layne could have sung that Chester couldn't duplicate. I'm imagining Chester singing the outro to Love Hate Love, man that would have been amazing to hear. I find always found that Linkin Park's Pushing Me Away, from Hybrid Theory, is where Chester sounds the most like Layne. Maybe not in actual tone, but style. He sings the verses and pre-chorus fairly lightly, but he gradually increases connection and distortion into the chorus, and puts on a powerful vibrato onto his distorted belting to accentuate the last lines through each section of the chorus, to the point that his belt sounds very similar to Layne's (just pitched higher), especially as he intensifies heading into the bridge.
I cant believe you didn’t include “Faint”?! For a great vocalist is not his prowess’s of how long a singer could hold a note but the lyrical intellect to create the melody of a strong meaningful and if possible catchy hook that ends become the most memorable song with such fierce intent and truth to relevance of the person or persons who are listening/hearing it.

Wish from mountain view 2004 should of been here
That kid was special. To sing like both an angel and a demon in one breath? RIP Chester
As someone who has tried to attempt qwerty in one take. I personally can do it BUT JUST BARELY. The amount of breath support you need is insane
Mike said that Chester, while he loved what he did, said that signing Crawling all the time was exhausting for him
Chester was legit an all time great front man. A really good dude too. Missed by so many.
Chester singing Wish by NiN was so f***ing good.
Man normally need to 2-4 singer for singing qwrty, screaming singer, groming singer, sweet man voicesinger, high tune male singer
Chester was truly one of the greatest vocalists of this generation! RIP
