(Of course you know what depression is) In the lyrics of this song, the writer (Chester Bennington) tries to explain that he has to struggle with himself, and fight himself because of the depression he is experiencing. Because he was so tired and hopeless of it all that he wanted to give up.

In the live version he has to split the 17 second scream into two parts so it's really an 8 second scream followed by a 6 second scream. Still amazing tho, I can't do a one second scream.
This song will always remain on my playlist and each time it plays I crank it to full volume whether it's at work, in the car, or at home. Never fails to get the attention of Gen Z and even Gen Alpha. One of the few times I gladly age myself to introduce this level of despair to my younger peers. We all suffer and Chester vocalized it perfectly.
This song means the world to me. Honestly right now I’m having such a hard time in life, I’m in debt, I’ve got rent to pay overdue, I’m traveling 6 hours a day for work which apparently is ok for my company, I’m just so tired with life. I’ve also given up Chester. ❤️
Iconic. We'll never forget you Chester. You were the voice of a generation, and I wish we could've saved you the way you saved us. We miss you terribly :(
Chesters scream is my lullaby! A talent we'll never hear or see again. I have yet in my 30 yrs of existence witnessed anyone comparable to Chester and I never will.
There is something scary in this, knowing how he ended up, seeing him on stage singing about and illustrating suicide, and thousands people watching it like a show. It's like everybody is saying to themselves in their heads at some point: "surely that's just an act", too scared that it's real
By far my favorite Linkin Park song of all time. I wish I could have had the opportunity to see Chester perform live. I can’t even imagine the chills from seeing this song live for the first time.

This song is the best way to show off his vocal talents. Chester you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.❤❤❤
Can we talk about the fact then bennington sing WITHOUT AUTOTUNE and he sounds literally same than the song original?
I think that one version sounds much better than the recorded one. That "BOOM" from chester at the end... GOOSEBUMPS HELL YEAH
@@MollyMadEye and the screams
In the live version he has to split the 17 second scream into two parts so it's really an 8 second scream followed by a 6 second scream. Still amazing tho, I can't do a one second scream.
@@ScoCoda there are other performances where he does the whole 17 second scream (AOL Sessions for example)
@@salvadorcammarata1707 Just watched the AOL session right now and DAMN that was good!
OMG !!! is it even possible to sing like that wow i'm still in shock !!!!
well now you know
yup, also...ARMYYYYY❤❤❤❤❤❤
this version of ending is SICK
RIP Chester
Legends never die Chester. Forever in our hearts. 2022

Your song never get old
miss you,voice of angels.
To watch this after the passing. Tears coming to my eyes knowing he meant every word. The pain and realness in this song are heartbreaking.
This always hits hard
Wow. So much raw emotion and pain. Just incredible.
U just have to admit that Chester had one of the best vocals in music industry. This song is unbelievably difficult.
Miss u my angel 💖
Took me way too long to notice the bass had a huge chunk missing out of it.
RIP Chester. One of the greatest of all time.
One of the most passionate song of LP!
RIP Chester
This song will always remain on my playlist and each time it plays I crank it to full volume whether it's at work, in the car, or at home. Never fails to get the attention of Gen Z and even Gen Alpha. One of the few times I gladly age myself to introduce this level of despair to my younger peers.
We all suffer and Chester vocalized it perfectly.
legendary Live performance
I don't think anyone can sing this awesome live on stage, unbelievable. Chester.
Omg, Chester has a fxcking incredible breath *-* he's my hero :D
This song means the world to me. Honestly right now I’m having such a hard time in life, I’m in debt, I’ve got rent to pay overdue, I’m traveling 6 hours a day for work which apparently is ok for my company, I’m just so tired with life. I’ve also given up Chester. ❤️
Hop u find it buddy
Iconic. We'll never forget you Chester. You were the voice of a generation, and I wish we could've saved you the way you saved us. We miss you terribly :(

Well said💔
This is called talent, rest in peace chester.
I miss you
THIS is real talent.
Chesters scream is my lullaby! A talent we'll never hear or see again. I have yet in my 30 yrs of existence witnessed anyone comparable to Chester and I never will.
Fucking legend. I remember hearing this live and I swear we died and came back to life when he did the 17 second scream
There is something scary in this, knowing how he ended up, seeing him on stage singing about and illustrating suicide, and thousands people watching it like a show. It's like everybody is saying to themselves in their heads at some point: "surely that's just an act", too scared that it's real
WOW! THAT VOCAL!!!!! I wish I seen them live! This is my favourite songs!
By far my favorite Linkin Park song of all time. I wish I could have had the opportunity to see Chester perform live. I can’t even imagine the chills from seeing this song live for the first time.
