    Great to see Fenit....fished it loads when I was a youngster. Barrow harbour I find is much better which is only around the corner, just off the castle.

    Same problem with the crabs down West Wales, Spiders I reckon they are in their numbers this time of year. Changed over to my lure rod with my trusty Westin Salty lures and landed 7 Pollock best one being 5lb. All returned. Tight lines.

      Story of the world these days unfortunately mate. A good cod is 5-6lb these days, you're over the moon. Then someone comes in the comments saying that's not a big cod I've had 30lbers from the shore back in the 70s 😅🤦🏻‍♂️

      Was also a great spot for shore fishing for Skate. Was full of Undulate Rays. I think they still get the odd one. From the boats anyway. But it was a real hotspot for Undulates and as you say Monkfish.
      At least you got to fish it when it was still producing decent fish. I only read about it as a Kid. 😂

      Stunning place mate, I'll definitely be going back. But like you say it does sting having to pay the ferry prices. I was looking this week at foot passenger prices and then renting a car, but with accommodation rather than sleeping in the van, it works out about the same.

    Is the airpower worth the extra expense over the fury
    Nice view across the sea....... fishing is not all about catching it is great just to get out and chill
    Won't be that long until the little one wants a go fishing......... you could give him a crab line and see the joy when he pulls them out

    • @theawfulangler
      @theawfulangler  2 месяца назад +1

      It all depends on your type of fishing mate. I honestly think you won't beat the fury for the price, but the airpower is a different animal with a lot more power for rough ground or big fish. There are rods in-between too, i think im right in saying; fury - airspeed - airtorque - airpower - creed. I'm going to try and borrow the full range and do a comparison video
