    Same setup I run. Picked up a remote from mg welding and it made it alot nicer. I got mine a few months before they announced the wireless remote version

    • @Oriongresham

      Do you have the remote that plugs in to the face? I have the new WIC and arc reach which I hope will help when its time for me to pick up a suitcase.

    • @mikef6879
      @mikef6879 3 года назад

      @@Oriongresham it does, they didnt have the wireless option when mine was ordered. The corded remote works good but hella limited, mostly and educated guess on amperage if you cant see the machine.
      The arc reach feeder is nice. I dont use wire enough to be proficient with it so I only use it for 18g door frames.

    dont jump start it off the truck without disconneting the welder battery. from what i've heard it will mess the board up. but i've also heaard miller added a fuse so now the new one idk dont burn out ?

      I also heard this from a service technician at a local equipment repair company. They do not like being jump started.

    Have you used air arc or tig on this thing yet, what kind of set up do you use for tig

    • @Oriongresham
      @Oriongresham  2 года назад

      I have not set this up for tig yet. In my shop I have my multimatic 220 set up for tig and mig. I do however use a suitcase with this machine quite often. Almost had a reason to buy a tig set up for it but the scope of work changed. If you’re looking to set it up for field tig it was very easy for me to source the required parts here in Tucson, AZ.

    Once the machine is shutdown via the remote, does the panel on the machine turn off as well or does it remain on? is it possible to operate this machine exclusively from the remote?

    • @Oriongresham
      @Oriongresham  2 года назад +1

      Yes once you shut it down from the remote the machine powers off as well. I leave mine on auto in the back of my truck and almost exclusively use the remote. I can’t say about the battery drain, because I use mine daily but I have not yet had any issues.

    Hey mate. How has this machine been running for you? I've had one on order since July still waiting! Shipping times have been terrible down here in Australia.
    Very interested to here about reliability.
    Cheers

      This machine has been excellent. No hiccups or problems since day one. My remote has started to deteriorate however, the battery in it is dying very fast and the micro usb is not holding up very well. Are you still waiting on your order?

    Whats is the bar that hold your welder ?

    • @Oriongresham
      @Oriongresham  3 года назад +1

      It’s a bar i picked up from a LOVES. It’s a expandable bar with a ratcheting end to make it tight. It does very well but my welder is also ratchet strapped through the pallet.

    Only trickle charge the battery or replace the battery if not holding a charge . You will damaged the PC board .

    Man. Glad I bought my Trailblazer EFI when I did. Paid around $7,600 with 50 ft welding leads. That would run me $10,600 today. I looked up the prices and gasped. This Bidenflation is killing us. I hope mine holds up cuz I don’t know what I’d do if it died. Find another line of work I guess. I’m guessing most of the price increases happened in the last year. Cuz I bought a Miller Multimatic 255 around this time last year. Paid about $3,445 for that machine. It’s $4,809 now configured the same way with the single tank running gear. Insane!!!

    • @Oriongresham
      @Oriongresham  2 года назад

      Man you and me both. I have the Trailblazer, suitcase, and the multimatic and its wild to see the prices changes. I bought a bobcat about 8 months ago for another truck and the price has increased substantially. I unfortunately didn’t get any leads with my machines, but i did get a hood with one 🤣. I have been looking to buy a plasma table but that market is even worse than it was before so i stick to my hypertherm and straight edges. I just pimp the complex cuts out to the steel yard and pay their table fees.

    • @survivalguyfyi5718
      @survivalguyfyi5718 2 года назад

      @@Oriongreshamman, I know it sucks. What Hypertherm do you run? I have the Powermax 45. Love it. I have the old model. Probably bought it 7 or 8 years ago. I’m always transferring it from my truck to my shop. Really need another one but I might just get an el-cheep-O for my truck. Just bring my Powermax out if I know I’m gonna do a lot of cutting. Thinking about that with a mag drill too. Keep a nice one in my shop. Keep a $400ish on my truck. That way if someone steals my truck I can minimize my losses. No cheap option for a crane and Trailblazer though.

    • @Oriongresham
      @Oriongresham  2 года назад

      I have a 30air i keep in the field for cuts and old 45 for the shop. I want a new one but i figure i will do that when i figure out a plasma table. I know its a no no but i run my 30air off the trailblazer 220 and it works just fine. I have the Milwaukee mag drill and its seriously one of the best investments i have made for drilling through steel. Had a job where we made something Iike 65 holes through a 3/4” Steel header. Paid for itself very quickly. No cheap option for a crane for sure. I dont have a crane on the truck, but i have a rolling gantry crane we fabbed at the shop. Makes light work of most everything in the yard.

    So, they delivered the new welder to you never having started it and without installing the exhaust pipe. I can tell that because you put 12.1gallons of gas in a 12 gallon tank and the operator’s manual was still in the engine compartment. DUDE, you need to find a different distributor!
