I have yet to try that. I hear the lens stabilization fights a bit with Sony’s IBIS

I'm still using the 18-35 to my GH5 with the 0.64x speedbooster. Perfect combo in my opinion. I don't really need the autofocus and the IBIS on my GH5 are still very great vs the sony ones. :D

I'd stay away from 50-100 unless you don't mind the horrible focus breathing and heavy weight. 18-35 is a all-time keeper though.
Native Sigma 18-50 and Tamron 35-150 are also good alternatives.

just got the fx30 as B cam for my a7iv, still torn in getting this or go with the 18-50 or tamron 17-70

If you don't mind the weight, the Sigma 18-35mm F/1.8 has been great thus far, otherwise perhaps those native lenses would be better for ya. If I didn't have these Sigma lenses I would probably lean towards the 17-70 for that reach.

Nice video!! What about the alternative the sigma 18-50 2.8? is larger, lighter and cheaper and being native the autofocus is faster. The only downside is that the 18-35 is so beautiful haha I had it back in 2019 attached to my Nikon dslr and was a beast. But like a said, the new 18-50 is better in almost every aspect

I haven't tried that lens before but others have had a great experience with it. I used to use the Sony 16-55 but decided on these lenses for the extra stops of light.

if only sigma made 50-150mm F1.8 for APSC that would be 70-200 equivalent
