- A month ago I dropped into TPIE, which is the largest plant show for Florida-based growers and definitely the indoor plant market in the U.S.! Instead of highlighting the entire show, I decided to focus on a interviewing a few select folks that I thought were doing something interesting.
In this week's episode, I speak with Gilles, "The Mossman" himself, who supplies Tillandsia, moss, and lichen to the horticultural market; as well as Mark, who was the guy behind the grassroots movement that we know today as "National Indoor Plant Week."
Stay tuned in the coming weeks because I'll be highlighting more from the show.

Lastly, I launched a Kickstarter nearly four weeks ago for How to Make a Plant Love You: Houseplant Masterclass. We're fully funded but there is still 1 day to enroll at discount in the course, so if you haven't considered supporting yet, then I would love your contribution here: ezrt.io/a3c0d93. If you've been digging these videos, then wait until you see what I have in store for the Masterclass!!!

Just wondered if the National Plant Week fellow had any idea of your home with quite a few plants, it would really fit his goal.
Did the mossman talk the same sentences twice or did the video snippet go in twice by accident?
yeah I caught that after too. Probably my mediocre editing skills with 4AM jet lag! haha
@@summerrayneoakes Could you teach me how to grow moss on a rock or wall indoors style?
My new favorite channel, quick question Summer do you have any tips in taking care of a pineapple plant?
Fort Lauderdale is home sweet home for me! I want to go to the next TPIE
That blurred edge in some of the shots is really messing with my vision.
Going to plant shows is like going to Disney World!

So- is this a sustainable commodity? Just wondering where he is getting the moss and if it may be having an impact on the environment. Hope he isn’t pillaging forests to meet this growing demand.
I love your videos and this may be a little strange of a question, but where did you get your overalls? They look both comfortable and functional (plus adorable, that is and always will be my favorite shade of green). Thank you for all the videos you make and the information you share!
Preserved moss is like dead moss!
