The guy was from the Deep South, Gulfport, MS. Someone burned his house down there, among many other things. I have true respect for the guy for standing for what he believed despite all the BS coming from the NBA, the fans and media.

Mr. Dog, So you understand Iverson was a shooting guard in a point guards body, he has even said this in interviews. Both MAR and AI where great in their respective playing time and positions, just the NBA owners (majority Jewish), commissioner Stern, rip, (Jewish) and the superficial American flag patriotic rhetoric didn’t allow him the chance to prosper into the great player he would’ve been. When you take a stand for what you believe in you have to face the consequences like a man and Mahmoud Abdul Rauf did so graciously after they took away from him what he worked so hard to attain. Facts.

Jordan shut down Mitch Richmond to 4 points on 1/14 FG in Abdul-Rauf's 26-point game.
Abdul-Rauf played limited games and minutes in 1997/98, so I won't include the one game in which he played against the 1998 Bulls.
In his final 3 games of 19, 19, and 26 points, he was blown out by 21, 18, and 18. He only had one huge 32-point game against Jordan's Bulls and people mistakenly claim that he always lit up Jordan.

He could be into his shot and be releasing the ball quicker than guys could get their hands up to try and block it. Tricky dribbles and could put guys in the trick bag at any given moment. Saw him play a few times in person. Scintillating. If he had better coaching in the pros he could have been an HOFer no doubt. @@dwightlove3704 I completely agree. Then again, the Celtics might not have gotten Lewis because they would have been winning titles, therefore their draft pick would not have been high enough to get Reggie Lewis.

Jordan wasn't the same defender in the last three peat. This is Jordan at about age 33. He was still a good defender but the smaller quicker players he had trouble with at this age, like Iverson.
