Y'all just love to assume things. Stockton was "great" defender back in the day. If Rauf could do this to him, imagine a bigger and have more complete offensive game like Steph, Dame, Booker to him
Yea all time great is a stretch when there’s dudes that actually got payed for being defenders lol. He was just good for the 90’s he would get torched today.
It's interesting how the anti-zone rules does not allow the defense to move and set traps correctly, but at the same time they were more physical, the off-ball offense couldn't run their "routes" with such freedom. The NBA only needs to allow physicality and the game would improve so much, zones + physical defense, that way only the very best could score over 25 points per game (in other words, the Trae Youngs would be overwhelmed)
@@KHJ4D Naah, the extra on ball pressure would disrupt his game for sure, especially if hand checking was allowed. Trae is extremely weak and his speed is not that great, he would struggle a lot. You don't seem to understand that one well laid out cross is better than some person spamming crossovers hoping they work. Mahmoud's shifts in speed and the off beat movement are what is disrupting the defenders rhythm. (I don't refer to Steph as the guy who spams crosses. One of the most underrated players of all time
If Mahmoud played in todays era he’d be just as good as Curry
And many others!
Uncle Phil came out a few years ago and said this man was playing like Steph before Steph and ofc some of the NBA community overreacted 😅🍻🍺
