I clicked on it to see your review for Do
Son as pictured but you didn’t review it.😩
Sorry. In that case, consider this your own, private review: Do Son is an easily-wearable tuberose-dominant fragrance with a soft, warm dry-down. Don't be fooled by the "for women" label, as this could easily be worn by a man, granted he enjoys tuberose. The reason it didn't make it to the top list is because as far as the genre goes, it is a pleasant, yet simple fragrance. I do enjoy wearing Do Son from time to time. I hope this helps. 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance thank you for replying. I know this video is a year old. Another question, I’be seen you prefer Diptyque EDP over EDT but on your pic u have Do Son EDT, do u prefer that better than EDP in this scent?
@@rezel22 Great question. Yes, I prefer the EDP for most Diptyque's, but for Do Son I went with the EDT because I use the scent as a mood lifter due to its soft character. I also am not a tuberose purist, so prefer a lighter approach. The EDT is lighter in character, but will also project more around you. It will have a shorter life than the EDP, but for me, I am happy with the 4-5 hours of Do Son EDT, then I move on to something else. The EDP will lay closer to you and last longer. 🌹Xo Sam
Wow! This is my first time to your channel! I love that you are a woman of color doing such in-depth to the point personable and genuine scent reviews. I’ve never bought a scent from diptyque, but I want to start my adventure. I was thinking between doson and quite a few others you’ve mentioned here. You’re so beautiful! It’s rare that I see girls that look like me with funky eclectic style like mine. Such a refreshing scene for the eyes. Thank you! Going to check out the rest of your videos now xx
I love the way you talk about fragrances & you’re beautiful!
I definitely appreciate the organic flow of your Diptyque review. I have definitely repurchased perfumes after wearing them on vacation. Something very nostalgic about being able trigger vivid past emotions.
Love how informative your videos are! ❤️
Thank you Maite! I have one of your requests coming up ;)
I am so happy to have found a new great female reviewer. Thank you! ☺️
That's so sweet of you, thank you! I have so many exciting videos coming up for you, stay tuned! :)
You’re shooting up my list of favourite RUclipsrs so fast it’s unreal! BUT... my favourite Oud Palao didn’t get a mention 😭 Do you not like it?
Wow, thanks Markus!
I found it decent, but I don't associate Diptyque with oud fragrances, sorry...
I really like this house Sam, and 34 Boulevard Saint Germain is the one for me. Thanks for the video.😊
Thanks for watching, Pep. I would have expected nothing less from you 😊. In all honesty, I don't think there's a fragrance from this house I don't like... they're all very wearable. 🌹Xo Sam
The best review on this brand yet. Thank you!!
A wonderful house. Philosykos is a mouthwatering blend. Have an older bottle of the edt and love to drench myself with it. Used to have Opone, which is a rose and saffron blend, just amazing. Enjoyed. ❤️
Philosykos is definitely one you can drench yourself in! I haven't tried Opone weirdly enough, thanks for the heads up *runs to the store*. 🌹Xo Sam
I love Eau Duelle, but it really doesn't last on me! In the summer, however, I go for Do Son.
Love Diptyque! My favorites so far certainly are Olène, Do Son EDP and L'Ombre dans L'Eau EDP. But I like so many of them, the first one launched, L'Eau, is really nice too. Ofresia, Tempo. One that didn't work for me was Eau Duelle. I like vanilla, but until a certain point.
Nice, it seems like you're into florals then! Thanks so much for watching! 🌹Xo Sam
Yeah, I'm a floral guy hehehe. When I was at Diptyque I told the sales lady I liked floral, she had me smell all of them LOL. Thank you for the video!! Xo 😘
Great video. Keep posting new videos. Subscribed to your channel.
Thank you so much for watching. There is plenty more coming.
She is stunning beautiful and absolutely my favorite RUclipsr. No mainstream fragrances here.
I'm always exploring this brand and nothing really seems to resonate. I bought a bottle of Tam Dao many years ago and I ended up giving it away. Lately I frequently smell Eau Duelle and Eau Capitale, whenever I see them in stores, but I recently decided that if I ever bought another bottle from this house it would likely be Tempo. I always associate this brand with Le Labo because they both seem pleasant enough but I don't understand the price points.
I have been told by lady working in Westfield London that Diptyque is not a niche brand.
It is or it is not I love these perfumes so much!
You are very pretty btw😚
Thank you for this review :) I am pretty young and new to scents but I LOVE Diptyque so much. I have a few of the staple scents but in the toilette version. I am wondering if the parfum versions differ enough to have the toilette and the parfum in the same scents? To me it is worth it to buy both if this is the case and it’s not just a longevity difference. :)
Hi there, oh I'm so glad you're getting into great fragrances already - I started early and never looked back!
I would definitely say you could own both the EDTs and EDPs from Diptyque - I do so myself as there is a variation in the enhancement of certain notes. 🌹Xo Sam.
My World of Fragrance thank you so much for the reply. I don’t know what it is but I just love fragrance so much and this line is just so special. Thank you for the insight. I’m thinking of getting the eau duelle but in parfum(it’s my favorite) and possibly another fragrance but trying to decide on which one :)
@@star579_Chandra That is a great choice to get in both EDT and EDP - I have both myself. The fragrance is just stunning, you can't have enough bottles. Philosykos also changes between EDT and EDP, just a suggestion :) Xo Sam
My World of Fragrance thank you so much! I really appreciate it!!
Fantastic pronunciation. Are you French background?
I haven't used these yet, they were brought to my attention at Nordstrom by the sales lady this week. I probably wouldn't have ever tried these because the bottle is so plain looking, I feel the same way about the Creed perfume, I wish they looked prettier on the shelf.
very informative and well researched video, subscribed :)
Aw thank you so much!
i tried Philosykos, love! i get tomato and coconut on me and then ..hair grease. its lovely but it didnt work for me. can't wait to try the other fig fragrance you mentioned a try.
Merci pour ta vidéo super interessante ! j'adore la marque Diptyque ! gros bisou
Et moi aussi j'ai adoré ta vidéo sur Diptyque!! 😍😘
♥️♥️♥️♥️💐💐💐💐👍👍👍👍
So glad I found your videos. You describe all scents so well by not just naming the list of notes, but give examples and set a scene. Thanks!!
Thank you so much! 🌹Xo Sam
I know you've only put out a few video, but i've been enjoying them. i hope you talk about unisex or men fragrances as well for your male fragrance fanatics. and a little info about you as well would be great.
Hey, thank you so much for your comment! Yes I have some men's videos specifically coming up and will try to share a bit of personal stuff too. Great to hear from you :) xo Sam
I love Fluer De Peau
Fleur de Peau is lovely! I may need to do an update video 😄. Thanks for watching! 🌹Xo Sam
Keep these videos coming! I love how informative and original they are!
Aw yay, thank you! I am definitely bringing out more!
Adore EAU DUELLE … I’d say AMBRE IRIS by Experimental perfume club in London is quite similar but lasts 3 times longer than EAU DUELLE EDP😅
Hi! Wondering if you can help me, one of my favorite perfumes is discontinued “Belenciaga B. Paris”, so sad. Wondering if you would know another perfume that smells similar. To my nose it opens up fresh and green, as if you walked into the section where they are selling Christmas trees, very fresh sweet pine, even if that’s not in the notes description lol. And it dries down light soft powdery musk. Any suggestions would be awesome! This quarantine time has given me time to look for a new signature scent. Thanks!
I know it’s a been a few months since you posted this comment but definitely checkout Tj Maxx/Marshall’s, I picked up this scent recently and fell in love
Tempo is my favourite just love the Patchouli but sadly it’s not in the list but I still like probably because it suits me
Aaah yes, I'm sure Tempo suits you well, I just find there are better patchouli's on me, but definitely a lovely scent. I don't think there's a single Diptyque I don't like. Thanks so much for watching.🌹 Xo Sam
Any other suggestions for patchouli ?
@@ishanroutray5431 I love a good patch, but it depends on the style you like... Monsieur by Frederic Malle, Patchouli by Lorenzo Villoresi, Private Label or Psychedelique by Jovoy, Aube Rubis by Atelier des Ors is a nice floral-patch blend... 🌹Xo Sam
Thanks for the advice and I love Jovoy Psychedelic it’s a beast of a fragrance.
@@ishanroutray5431 It absolutely is. You got patch on my mind, so I sprayed on Aube Rubis today, and it is glorious too🌹Xo Sam
WOW!!!! Now THIS is how a fragrance review should be done! I was captivated. I have L'Ombre Dan's L'eau edt, Volutes edt, & Do Son in my collection. Can you do a video on how you apply your fragrances? Seeing your juice being used is so satisfying lol. New Subbie Here 😍😍😍
Love Diptyques...currently awaiting my Volutes edt.And you’re so beautiful:)
What three would you recommend or Like On A Man from this house ?
1-14-20
Well that really depends on your taste... Personally I would say Oud Palao, Tempo and Volutes (34 Boulevard St. Germain is great too!), but that is what I like smelling on a man, also taking into account the current weather, which is cold. I hope that helps. 🌹Xo Sam

Thanks & Have A Great Weekend
@@D_Angel_G Thanks, you too!
I've never thought of Dyptique for personal fragrances, but received a sample of Do Son with a Nordstrom purchase yesterday. I came to RUclips to see if anyone found it long lasting. Great pronunciation and accent fellow lover of perfume. I never thought to buy a new fragrance for a trip to associate the memory, how wonderfully smart! I was telling a friend kust last night how the sense of smell is so closely associated with your feelings and memories. I am going to go for this scent as I sprayed the EDT sample since yesterday and can still smell it which is a rare to never experience for me. I have GREAT scents but struggle with longevity with even my most expensive fragrances and I never buy EDT for myself unless I plan to wear it for errands and I have accompaniments like, hair mists or lotions. I have a huge issue with fragrance projection and longevity. I don't know how to change that. Any suggestions?
Thanks for sharing! I own Do Son too :) Have you tried layering with a perfume oil underneath? I have dry skin (not good for perfume) so to make fragrances last, I really moisturize my skin, use fragrance oils on top, then the perfume (over)sprayed on clothing to keep the smell alive. I also carry some in my bag for top-ups. 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance Ahh, thank you for that. I've also read that remaining hydrated helps with creating a naturally moisturized environment for better fragrance projection.
Use oils and body lotion that projects the same notes as your fragrance ... you'll be smelling good allll day !
@@MyWorldofFragrance lol i just told her that ... perfume lover here for sure layering fragrances with body oil and body lotion underneath that projects the same notes works
I just found this video Amazing you are gorgeous
Thank you! I will do an update soon as I love so many from this house 🌹Xo Sam
Thank you for all the info! So chic. I am trying to decide between the L’ombre dans L’Eau in EDT or EDP. If you have tried both, what do you think the differences are between the two? It’s tough to decide!
As I recall, L'Ombre Dans L'eau isn't one that has massive differences in scent, apart from concentration being higher in the EDP. So up to you if you prefer the scent slightly lighter or deeper. Hope that helps! 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance yes, thank you for getting back to me!
Thank you Sam
I keep coming back to watch this video. I feel like you are telling us a beautiful fragrance story ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Aw thank you so much 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
from all those you reviewed, which one that has the best sillage and suit to wear in summer?
Good afternoon olene! I'm woodler Jean Philippe.l'm Haitian nationality, I living in Brazil. I would like too participate in the commercial online.
Hi ! What are your views about L'Eau by Diptyque ?
Right now it’s fall, I went to a fragrance store here (Hanoi, Vietnam) and want to buy D&G the one EDP, but then I smell it not the same as previous day, and I dont like it anymore, but then suddenly I tried Volutes (tobacco + honey + woody), oh my god thats so much better than The One EDP, I’m going to buy full size bottle (75ml), and I want to hear more detail of your opinion about Volutes, I’m 25 and want Volutes for this Fall/Winter
Volutes is an excellent choice for the fall. I am not personally a fan of D&G The One. I will do a video on my favorite tobacco fragrances soon, but for now I would let you know that I find Volutes very versatile and comforting. Go for the EDP if you can as it will last you longer. 🌹Xo Sam
My World of Fragrance that’s sound great! thank you so much ^^
Can I ask one more question, its why not many fragrance reviewers of youtube fragrance community in general talk much about House Diptype, even though their fragrances smell fantastic? You can see big fragrance youtubers, they nearly never put Diptype on “top 10 something” or even talk about this house.
Hiếu Béo I think your other question got deleted... But the reason is probably because they’re not getting paid to talk about them 🙂🌹
Subscribed , great video 👍
Thank you, happy to have you here! 🌹 Xo Sam
glad i found your chanel...new subscriber....i ve tried volutes and tam dao from them.nice scents.don t own any bottles ...yet
Thank you and welcome! I find Diptyque is so easy to wear in any occasion, very inoffensive scents. Glad you enjoy Volutes and Tam Dao too, they're lovely 🌹. Xo Sam
Thank you for this review. Based on your description and recommendation, I blind bought Diptyque eau duelle (and volutes). I do love it. However, i am seeking a perfume that dries down to a lasting boozy vanilla scent that is as refined and long lasting as eau duelle but projects and has more complex boozy scent. I am also seeking a perfume that dries down to bright, flirty boozy scent. Any recommendations for either. The closest Ive gotten to a bright boozy is armani si but its only in the top note for me, so doesnt last. Thank you!
I would try a sample of Ivory Route by Xerjoff if I were you. No vanilla listed, but it's definitely there - not exactly of the boozy variety, but it will provide you with lasting projection and hopefully also the complexity you are looking for. Lubin Idole or Bentley Intense (marked for men, but I wear them) for bright boozy. If you want straight up whisky, Nasomatto Baraonda. Hope that helps.🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance Great. Thank you!!
You could also try Dior Diorama, a very boozy and vanillic scent
Great review! I really enjoyed the house history and information on the perfumers. Sub'd!
Thank you so much! 🌹Xo Sam
Great video, thanks! I personally prefer the Diptyque fragrance oils in the rollerball bottles than a spray format. Great for travelling
Yes, that's a great format for travel indeed. I'm more of a sprayer in general, so I say why not have both! Haha🌹Xo Sam
You are so right, my fragrances usually remind me of the trip or a point in life when I purchased them
Your gorgeous YES I always get to the Airport early and pick up a new scent...then that scent will take me right back to that holiday :-)
Thank you! Oh I love doing that 🌹 Xo Sam

Awesome review of the brand and fragrances! I appreciate the brand history/background.
Just discovered you channel and I am mesmerized. You describe smells beutifully.
Wow,really informative, great video. Please make more of these kinds of videos. 🙂
I love this review!!!!!!
Hello:)
I'm about to purchase some of Diptyque fragrances and wondering if you could compare Eau de Pierre to some other perfume? Im very tempted to buy it but I don't want to smell like citrus or air freshener in bathroom. Thank you for advice:)
Hi Michaela, if you find citruses too sharp, perhaps you will find Eau de Lierre a bit sharp too. It's a very leafy, green scent. If you like things like No. 19 by Chanel, perhaps you will like it. 🌹Xo Sam
@@MyWorldofFragrance thank you for a detailed reply♥️
Thank you for so much information on this house. I am going to get a discovery set, before I purchase, but like Creed it is an invesrment. Love your channel, I am new to it, and really enjoy them.

Off topic...What color nail polish and brand are you wearing...Love it!
Aw thank you! It's Gabrini neon nail polish in the color N 09. 🌹Xo Sam
Thanks for the history, this is one of my favorites, but you didn’t review it, Do Son, I would love to hear your opinion on it. I can’t stop watching your videos ❤️
Aw thank you. I will do that sometime. 🌹Xo Sam
Was expecting to hear you describe DO SON ???thank you anyway for taking your time to share your thoughts about this beautifull niche brand
Sorry about that - see previous thoughts: Do Son is an easily-wearable tuberose-dominant fragrance with a soft, warm dry-down. Don't be fooled by the "for women" label, as this could easily be worn by a man, granted he enjoys tuberose. @@MyWorldofFragrance Very sweet of you To respond rapidly and make a little review for me. I appreciate a lot
LOVE LOVE LOVE your sister Sectou from Mauritania Africa
Eau Duelle and Volutes are the two I have in my collection. Thanks for the history. I loved visiting the store in Paris.
Eau Duelle is a Fall staple for me. On my second bottle. That Vanilla/Bourbon is everything. And Volutes is so wonderful. I like to spray on my scarfs.
I prefer Eau de Parfumerie in Diptique as well.
Mmm those are such beauties. So you must enjoy Chergui by Serge Lutens as well? 🌹 Xo Sam
My World of Fragrance I do love chergui! I don’t reach for it very often though. But when I do wear it I like to spray on my winter scarfs than my actual skin.
@@stacyb6461 I understand... I never bit the bullet with Chergui, there was something about her that was hard to wear... but I'll do a best tobacco fragrance roundup, maybe you'll find something else you might like 🌹. Xo Sam
I love this house
Am here too🙋♀️
very nice review. 👍🏻👍🏻
eau duelle is like a warm and sensual hug, i love it! plus, it’s a nice upgrade/grown-up version of mugler’s angel - a scent i wore a lot in my 20s 😂
Oh yes, a versatile, friendly vanilla for all ages! I'm obsessed with The Architect's Club by Arquiste at the moment too, it has Eau Duelle similarities 🌹. Thanks so much for watching! Xo Sam
Nice!
Very nice video you introduce me in to this interesting perfumes, thank you I love it so smooth video
Thank you so much! 🌹Xo Sam
BRAVISSIMA 🤩
I am contemplating getting eau duelle but what would you say are the main differences between the edt and the edp other than longevity
Hi, thanks for your question! The EDP is slightly woodier whereas the EDT focusing more on the sweet vanilla. A subtle difference! 🌹 Xo Sam
My World of Fragrance amazing because there is quite a bit of difference in the price lol thank you for your reply.
I used to be crazy about Eau Duelle edp but have since switched to Volutes. I even tried layering it with Chergui once and it damn near blew my mind. The gods need to be paying attention. 😄
Haha that sounds like an amazing combo. You will enjoy my future video on my favorite tobacco scents then. 🌹Xo Sam
