Serge Lutens, Diptyque, Carner, Guerlain, Molinard, Santa Maria Novella, Essential Parfums, Sylvaine Delacourte, and several others. I plan to explore the other brands you mentioned . You told me about Essential Parfums, and Divine Vanilla is sublime without trashing my budget. Please review the entire line of fragrances by Stéphane Humbert Lucas when you have time.
Hey Sam. . I've just begun to dip my toes into Stephen Humbert Lucas after buying Sand Dance. I would LOVE to hear your take on the house over view, and all the lovely ones you have in your collection. We all come to you for your conviction and direct clarity towards fragrance. . Always a pleasure Sam xxx
I know it shouldn’t matter what other people think, but it’s always a good feeling to hear that you like two of my main joints…Histories de Parfums & Acqua di Parma.
Love that you started off with one of my FAVORITE fragrances. ❤Epic❤ Yes, please, a Stephane Humbert Lucas video would be much appreciated. Agree with every one of your brand choices. I would add The Harmonist to this list because each one I've tried is gorgeous and well made.
Thank you for this! For me, I feel like Parfums d’Empire and, to a lesser extent, Diptyque fills me with joy consistently at a price that I can not be mad at!
I’m with you! I’m a Serge Lutens Lover and have been for many years! I agree if I pay over $200 I want the fragrance to leave sillage a mile long and have longevity! Love this video ❤😊 YES definitely more Sam!
Everything from Goldfield & Banks makes me either sigh or smile (sometimes both). Fragrances help me with depression and anxiety and, believe it or not, ADHD - having a scent I love around me provides a physical grounding that helps me focus. I have several brands of which I could choose one or two (or even a few) that have that effect on me, but I have never had a G&B that failed to both lift me up and keep my feet on the ground. ❤❤
@@FraBra88 My M.O. with any higher end brand is to use the discovery set sparingly and buy travel sprays. I don't have any full bottles of G&B fragrances!
The first brand that comes to mind for me is Amouage and I got chills when you said that name first haha! I’m not as well versed in fragrances as you but so far Amouage has been a standout for me, especially Epic woman!!!
Great list! I agree with Serge Lutens and Acqua Di Parma.. Would love a brand overview for SHL, which I have never tried. One of my faves is Carner Barcelona. worth the money, for sure. Also Parfums de Nicolai and Affinessance.
I am crazy about Andy Tauer's perfumes (Tauer Perfumes, Taurville) and I love everything that comes from Liz Moores (Papillon Perfumery), just to name two as my list otherwise will be very long. These are both totally worth the higher price tag.
Love all of these! Off the top of my head I would add for me Francesca Bianchi. Sex and the Sea Neroli is probably my favorite neroli interpretation ever, but also I love her darker fragrances. Theodoros Kalotinis also comes to mind. ❤
Loving these videos, Sam👏. Consumers/"the community" need more of these sort of overviews, the integrity is refreshing. Some I'd throw into the mix are Les Indémodables, Masque Milano, St. Giles, and on the designer side, of course, Lalique. ✌🙏
I hate to add a redundant opinion when so many others have said the same thing but Serge Lutens really does hit all the quadrants of being worth the money, having scents with such character and being wearable/versatile/accessible scent-wise. Also quite love Guerlain and Hermes. I want to own literally everything Ellena did for Hermes and Nagel's work is so good too (eg. Violette Volynka!) As for niche ones - I'm a big fan of L'Artisan, Ormonde Jayne and Frederic Malle. I've never smelt anything from Stephane Humbert Lucas so would love to hear your take on the range too!
I kept nodding my head when you brought up Serge Lutens. Serge Lutens was the first niche fragrance brand I bought iirc. I still always go back to try out new fragrances from the line after all these years of expanding my horizon in fragrances. A brand that is worth every penny imo is BDK. Some may think its overhyped, but I've been obsessed with the 3 BDK fragrances I own, and have tried two other BDK fragrances that I am honestly thinking of getting too. I would love to see a Perris Monte Carlo video. I once tried Ylang Ylang nosy be and musk extreme from Perris Monte Carlo, and I honestly wasn't too impressed. But I would love to hear more about your thoughts regarding the other Perris Monte Carlo fragrances, or even your perspective on those two.
Thank you for the great review. Other than the usual suspects on everyone's list, I would mention the houses of Tauer Perfumes, Blend Oud, Eutopie, Evody, The Merchant of Venice and Jovoy for my top-quality creative and comfortable perfumes. I would also add the Elie Saab's Essence Collection by Francis Kurkdjian as the best i have ever owned, but that one is now all sold out and discontinued.
Love this idea Sam! 🙌 Some brands I discovered last year... Sana Jardin, Atelier Materi, Olfactive Studio, L'Orchestre Parfum, Violet... they are all paying me back in endless joy. And Maison Matine, who are even more affordable, (£55/50ml!) with FUN perfumes with interesting themes, cool and minimal packaging 🔥
Last night I tried Cuir Kora (L'Orchestre) for the first time, I was a bit surprised; quite enjoyable. Seems it's a brand I'll have to wander through ✌
Robert Piquet, Fracas sent me there and held me there. Serge Lutens, Flures D'Oranger keeps me coming back for more and more. Diptyque, Benjoin Boheme made me a believer. Kerosene, Walk the Sea opened my heart to the unusual. Anike Goutal, allows me to be ultra feminine, no matter what bottle I pick up. These brands are worth it... Regarding Acqua di Parma, I was blessed with 6 oz. bottle of Magnolia Infinita. It is a beauty! I've had it 6 months, it is my most complimented fragrance. I feel guilty wearing it so frequently, but it is just so special... Thank you for your recommendations!!! (Side note: I was recently given Dalina, Dalina and more Delina. Hands down, I agree with your perception of Delina.)
When I was a teen, I bought a tiny 1ml sample of Serge Lutens Un Lys. Just one drop on the wrist lasted me all day. That little vial lasted me for about a month.
It would be *great* to get a full house review of Stéphane Humbert Lucas! I really love the direction in which you're taking this channel. There are so many frustratingly unimaginative, underperforming, overpriced fragrances out there - and so many truly interesting and enjoyable (and often more affordable) ones that deserve more attention but get overshadowed by hypes surrounding the former. Fragrance can be just so much more pleasureable, and rewarding than the 999th Creed &al release: thanks for taking this on and shifting the focus.
I’m so new but so far have been enjoying all that I’ve tried from Zoologist, it’s such a bold, unique & poetic house. Excited to try more from Matiere Premiere because Encens Suave is so exquisite and I feel really well priced.
oh I want to try the Kenzo elephant and the Acque di parma mandorlo now. Both sounds very intriguing to me. thanks for this video. keep them coming please.
I always love your videos. Aqua di Parma seems like the new phase I’m entering- fresh colones, citrus. Would like to smell that almond! I got Lalique Parfum and what a deal that one is! Bottle is elegant, perfume gorgeous.
I always enjoy your perspectives! Please do a house review of Stephane Humbert Lucas! I ❤Isra & Miraj!😇 Also, your makeup is beautifully done… Do you have a makeup channel?
This is great list. I love discussing the houses. So much content is about specific releases and I love learning about houses, especially the high quality lesser known houses.
Diptyque, Matiere Premiere, Maison Crivelli, Cartier, Chanel Chance, Jadore by Dior, and Pure Musc by Narciso. Xerjoff Apollonia is simply stunning. Worth every penny. BUT. This is one of the least expensive from them, and the only one i own. and all others are ridiculously expensive. But wish I could afford.
Hello Sam from my part the great ratio quality/money is Carner, Couvent de minimes (Ellena) and Nicolaï parfum for example (plus they all have the soul and passion)! Have a nice day 😊
Hello Sam, I fully agree with your list, I would add some more for sure, as my collection is quite big, like Beaufort, Olfactive Studio, also old British houses like Atkinson's, Floris, Penhaligon's, I also really appreciate ELdO for creativity. L'Artisan which with Diptique started all "nische" game in late 70' (SL joined much later). Nassomato, Nicolai, Nishane, Tauer, Santa Maria Novella and all Pierre Guillaume brands. But also strictly artisan brands run by one perfumer like Meo Fusciuni, Rogue, Auphorie, Hiram Green, Dusita and many more.
I've been watching your channel for a few years now and I love the pivot towards well made and well priced, perfumes. I sincerely trust your judgement and appreciate your commentary on the beauty of scent. Thank you for these recommendations and "yes" to any and all house reviews.❤
And awesome recommendations. I just came across your channel because exactly I get headaches from many designer perfumes. And many good ones are just not easily accessible to me. If you don't already have a separate review for each brand mentioned, would you mind doing a segment for them?
Hi sam yes agreed with you and those fragrance houses. I also love jovoy I have several of there fragrance and I would pay every penny for. The other house that is not talked about much is santa maria novella I've been loving this brand lately absolutely sensational. Also small niche brand I try to support always. Can I say please take this as a compliment I'm a 42 year old married man you are a beautiful looking lady. ✌️
I would like to see a house review of Stephane humbert Lucas please. I haven’t smelled any yet. I was trying to see which Histoires de parfums you have along with Perris Monte Carlo
I can’t agree with you more. Those are some quality fragrance houses. I definitely have to get my hands on Serge Lutens Chergui. Great video as always.
Fantastic brands! the only one that I don't know is Perris Monte Carlo. My favorite from the list is Stéphane Humbert Lucas, I just bought Black Gemstone, my favorite is the Harrods Exclusive Mamba. Other Favorite brands: Carner Barcelona, Matiere Pemiere, Mancera and Montale. Thank you Sam!!!
I love brands that are unique and not crazy expensive, love Serge Lutens, Molinard, Carner Barcelona, MFK, BDK divine Vanille by Essential is such a gorges vanilla! Also found that I love Boucheron ( their higher line has some beautiful perfumes! ) others I like but still don't know enough : Histoires de Parfum , Atkinsons , Goutal...
Hi Sam, great video - thank you! I for one would love a video on Stephane Humbert Lucas as I find it extremely difficult to get samples of this brand. At least I might get some inspiration on what ones of the brand to sample.
For me would be Dusita, Francesca Bianchi, Hiram Green, Papillon Artisan, DS Durga, Zoologist and Perris Montecarlo. I love and got an obsession with them all.
Whoops i forgot to share some favourite brands. . Though the more i think on it, the more im not sure I've actually got one. I tend to end up with one favourite fragrance from each brand, though i am loving Zoologist more and more, and have a strong connection to that animal focal point concept, and the unique scent of the interpreted environment created 🐀🐿🐦🐾💚
Please do house review of Stephane Humbert Lucas
The first brand that I get in mind is Nicolai. The quality of their fragrances for that price point ... Definitely worth the money!
Definitely agreed!
Yes pls do Stephane Humbert collection review. Hard to find samples of these so it would be great to know your thoughts
Yes! Finally someone giving a shoutout to Mon Vetiver! Such an insanely under-rated scent, can’t believe it doesn’t get more love. 😭
Yes. My first purchase from the brand after exploring their discovery set. Love it
I'll watch a Stéphane Humbert Lucas video
I love Essential Parfums too. Just picked up Nice Bergamot! Parle Moi is another brand I think is worth it.
💯 agree with all of these Sam! Arquiste is another that I adore, I would also add Goldfield & Banks and L’Artisan and Nobile 1942! ❤
Arquiste is also blowing my mind.
Hey Sam. . I've just begun to dip my toes into Stephen Humbert Lucas after buying Sand Dance. I would LOVE to hear your take on the house over view, and all the lovely ones you have in your collection. We all come to you for your conviction and direct clarity towards fragrance. . I support this request. Good morning to all.
Serge Lutens lover here! Can’t go wrong with Serge 💕💕💕💕
Would love to see a Stephane Humbert Lucas video!
I believe Etat Libre d'Orange is also a good niche house. My first niche came from that house.
Yes please, do a Stephane Humbart Lucas house review!
I know it shouldn’t matter what other people think, but it’s always a good feeling to hear that you like two of my main joints…Histories de Parfums & Acqua di Parma.
Guerlain and Serge Lutens are the houses I own the most bottles from so I guess I think they are worth it to me, lol :o)
Etat libre d'Orange is also worth the price: very unique & high quality❣️
Thank you for this! For me, I feel like Parfums d’Empire and, to a lesser extent, Diptyque fills me with joy consistently at a price that I can not be mad at!
I’m with you! I’m a Serge Lutens Lover and have been for many years! I agree if I pay over $200 I want the fragrance to leave sillage a mile long and have longevity! Love this video ❤😊
YES definitely more Sam!
Naomi Goodsir, Amouage, Serge Lutens, Molinard, Guerlain ❤ Thank you for your recommendations!

Me too! Unfortunatelly I have very little to spend on them but when I can they have the same effect on me.
@@FraBra88 My M.O. with any higher end brand is to use the discovery set sparingly and buy travel sprays. I don't have any full bottles of G&B fragrances!
Oh wow, someone else that uses scents to aid with adhd!❤ people think I’m weird when I mention my love of scent is tied to my adhd but it is.
Laboratorio Olfattivo has a great range and $/ml is a good value
The first brand that comes to mind for me is Amouage and I got chills when you said that name first haha! I’m not as well versed in fragrances as you but so far Amouage has been a standout for me, especially Epic woman!!!

Parfum d’Empire, Tauer, Rogue Perfumery and Acqua di Parma are 3 of my favorite brands for excellent quality fragrances at good prices.
I've been feeling the same way about the pricy ones. And it made me want to learn how to make perfume. Quite interesting learning perfumery.
Serge Lutens and Amouage are also worth the money to me! Now you made me curious about Stephane Humbert Lucas ❤
I am crazy about Andy Tauer's perfumes (Tauer Perfumes, Taurville) and I love everything that comes from Liz Moores (Papillon Perfumery), just to name two as my list otherwise will be very long. These are both totally worth the higher price tag.
HdP and AdP for sure. Definitely think that Perris Monte Carlo doesn't get enough attention either. 💛
Would love to see a Stephane Humbert Lucas video!
PLEASE do a video on the Humbert Lucas fragrances !!!! I’ve never heard of them and you seem so excited by them!
mIne are: Francesca Bianchi and Patricia de Nicolai Perfumes. Love them!!

Ugh Violette Volynka is SO good. It's on my wish list but I think it's too similar to Regime des Fleurs Himitsu, which I have. One day.

I adore Maison Violet & Ormonde Jayne fragrances!
I will add Fueguia and Meo Fusciuni (if only more accessible). True artistry, unique compositions.
I'd add Molinard too and Jovoy (as a brand : remember me and l'art de la guerre are stunning )

Amen to Matiere Premiere and Crivelli!!!

Hi Sam, great video - thank you! I for one would love a video on Stephane Humbert Lucas as I find it extremely difficult to get samples of this brand. At least I might get some inspiration on what ones of the brand to sample.
