I would’ve NEVER bought a Jessica Simpson fragrance until hearing you rave about it a couple of times. Now, I’m so glad I have it. It’s actually wonderful, just like you said.
Literally so many favs in here!!! Fancy has survived multiple declutters!! Even as I acquire more niche and think I can let her go I’m like nope- she’s still does it for me.
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my gris charnel sample and just ordered a full bottle. It’s different than everything else I have but so easy to wear. It’s a love.
Isn’t it funny how scent is subjective? To me it was too masculine for me to wear, I wore it a couple times to bed during winter. After that I sold it.
@@Xena395 you are right. I don’t find it masculine at all. But the new gris charnel extrait is masculine to me. A couple years ago several RUclipsrs raved about Zara rich warm addictive, which is nice but I gave it to my man. Also myrrh and tonka by jo malone. They are both very masculine to me. I do tend to like unisex more than Uber feminine scents in general though.
So far Dyptique has never gone wrong with their scents. Atleast from those that I tried. Love the perfumer behind those scents. Takes you to a different experience.
You have to try eau duelle edp because to me it smells so much like Guerlain sdv and lasts way better. I swear nobody compares the two but I definitely smell similarities 😻
@@sidselalbertsen898 I have! I actually just tried sdv and eau duelle edp together again on each arm and I found it doesn’t smell as similar as I thought in the beginning. Angelique noir I only have a sample of (on my wishlist) I’ll try them together. I can understand why AN would be similar as it has more greenness.
Love your video , thank you Ann . I keep adding to my collection after watch your video , ordered Oud of Greatness today , I will get Fancy and Guerlain Double Vanille , it sounds amazing ! Much love ❤️
I’ve used Fancy since I was in my early 20s, and still use it in my 30s. I have more expensive scents, but this is the one people react to, it’s hyper feminine and sweet, people LOVE it, and I agree that it does not smell cheap. It’s the most gorgeous caramel-amber scent, so yummy and sweet but it’s actually not too gourmand, I love that there are white floral notes in there. I highly recommend getting the body mist and lotion as well.
Interestingly, Mon guerlain was not worth the hype for me when I first got it. I tested it a couple times and was underwhelmed, so on a back shelf for a while it went. Then late march of 2020, in the boredom of being home bound, I (like so many of us here) played with fragrance to pass the time. Early spring transformed my perception of Mon guerlain and now it is such an easy reach I love so much!
You just spoke my mind on the chai latte comparison hahaha, spot on! 😊 I relate to your opinions so often it is dangerous!! Agree on all except Kayali Vanilla 28 - designer-like and boring to me 🤷🏼♀️
I love all your picks! Fancy, Flowerbomb- that one gets hate! I haven’t ever worn Wood Sage Seasalt.. Can’t wait to wear OFG soon. However I am different and love lots of ouds. Oud Palao from Dyptique, Malesia from Xerjoff is my personal baby, Oudmazing, Mukhallat Shems is a nice strong one from the Middle east..

Ok. I bought a little gift set of Fancy for the neighbor across the street I used to drive to school (for her birthday) hoping she would wear it in the car. She was in 4th grade! Then I bought a set for my “daughter.” She was in the 1st grade (and still sleeping with her stuffed Snoopy). 😂😂😂 She never wore it so I took it off her hands.

Have you tried and compare the edt and edp for Eau Duelle??? I'm contemplating between the two! love you videos btw, you're hilarious and reliable. two of the highest traits in my book.
Definitely want a part 2, from this list I wanna try Gris Charnel, you think it would be wise to blind buy that fragrance? Fantastic video btw as always
Thank you!! I always recommend sampling first! 🥰 I wouldn’t generally categorize it as a safe blind buy, but if you’re really into sandalwood, unisex fragrances, you like cardamom, and you’re okay with fig, I think it could possibly be a safe blind buy
Jessica Simpson was My signature scent forever once my Armani Mania was discontinued. Now I'd you're lucky and find some it's like $400 for a little amount!
Hi this is LaTonya love flower bomb it will always be in my perfume collection smells really beautiful on my skin and I get compliments at work a lot of guys really like Flowerbomb that I know great video love your Channel
Im so glad someone is the same as me - more perfumes i dislike than i like. Sometimes i wonder if it is even the path for me, or my nose is just too picky to love perfumes and to collect them.
My hubby now swears by Gris Charnel (when he wants a sandalwood figgy scent) and Naxos (sexy tabaco honey). Both of them on him make me 🔥🔥🔥they are perfection
omg im leaving so many comments 🤣🤣, yess my first kayali juice is so dark, i got a backup and its nice in its own way too! I love them both, but my first one from the og release is brewed to perfection 👌
I work for a greenhouse & wear Flower Bomb bc it reminds me of my favorite flowers. I purchased a decant of Greenwich Village bc it was so hyped up, I hate it, instant headache. Not sure if that is even mentioned in this video, just wanted to put it out there.
also i love wood sage sea salt how it smells initially but within an hour it just smells soapy on my skin, n theres no longevity or the nice scent from the beginning so i didnt end up buying it even tho it could become my number 1 clean but not fresh perfume ): also gotta add gris charnel edp has been my biggest find of 2021 and whole late fall through winter ive been wearing it so much, so so amazing. i 100% agree with you on sandalwood, in my opinion it can do no wrong, i love the sweet creamy and the dry woody kind i love it all!! i asked about eau duelle bc i tried the edp before not the edt and ive been wondering about the edt now n which one i should get. also i need to try naxos for my bf i am intrigued (or well, for myself as i love unisex hehe)
I recently order gris charnel sample and it is the love at first sniff. Now i am waiting for my extract sample and i am excited for the fall coming. Wood sage and sea salt and mon guerlain are lobe at first sniff as well and too afraid the finish my bottles up. I will definitely try naxos soon. I am so curious for that.
Ladies, don’t fall for the Gris Charnel hype, unless you are looking for a very manly man scent. I bought a decant sample to see what all the hype was about and I’m floored women want to smell like this. I get licorice, booze and smoke/tobacco. An immediate turn off for my husband. He made a face when I asked him to smell my wrist. My daughter walked in the room and said I smelled like the 15 yo neighbor boy that wears too much cologne. That is not what I’m going for! 😂 I know not all women want to smell classically “feminine” so this might be worth a try for them but not my cup of tea (pun intended :)
I believe you😂, even to wear at home I couldn’t love it no matter how hard I tried. But luckily I was able to resell it. Now I buy the opposite of what’s being raved about, or I go to a Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, saks to try it first.
@@Xena395 buying the opposite of what’s raved about sounds about right! I’m learning when a you tuber describes a perfume as intoxicating, sexy, cozy I usually hate it. Lol
It’s obvious that scents are insanely subjective, so just because you don’t like it, does not necessarily mean the youtuber’s recommendation is off. For me, I absolutely loved Gris Charnel. It’s definitely not for women or girls who are more feminine, and I feel like it would suit an androgynous or bold woman more.
I love Gris Charnel but I did order a sample set first before buying a full bottle. It’s a mysterious boss woman smell and every time I wear I get compliments from both men and women. So it has to suit your body chemistry, it’s great that not all live the same fragrances. 🥰❤️
Can I justify having both Eau Duelle and Gypsy water? I spent YEARS avoiding Flowerbomb because I’m not a huge florals person, I now own two bottles lol.
I agree with Summer except I personally find Eau Duelle EDT to definitely be more aromatic and green in comparison, that juniper, elemi, and cardamom really pop, where the aromatic quality in Gypsy Water is more subdued
Anne you remind of J.K Rowling. NO ONE ok comes close to you in the way you create imagery with your words to describe fragrances. And girl that's not good for my wallet 🤣. Yes in the last few months because of you I bought Bal D Afrique, Deep and Desire Yacht, Rouge Malachite, Poets of Berlin, Micallef Note Vanille and Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille.😏. I hope one day you create your own fragrance and I'll be your first customer. Ok I'm gonna go now. Off to Sephora to buy Kayali 28🤦♀️
Speaking of lavender.. it can be off-putting definitely but I wish I could find perfumes that smell like, for examples Aveeno Stress Relief body wash (lavender, chamomile and slight vanilla) or La Mer Creme de la Creme or some shampoos. Am i the only one 😂🤤 Especially Redken Magentics shampoo!!
Jo Malone gave me nausea, I think it was Myrrh an Tonka, I also tried two others Wood Sage, English Pear and Sweat Pea, and none felt worth the money. Definitely try before you buy.
I dont understand oud for greatness. I understand niche perfumery but I believe that perfumery does not need to have barnyard oud to make any kind of a statement. Think about it....Why does oud which smells like feces have to be included in fragrances? Its not about having a seasoned nose. Its a bout having an intelligent one.
Hi Anne, great video as usual... Off topic but I know you love Chloé nomade line and wanted to know your opinion on the last release Naturelle if you ever tried it
Thank you! I have tried that one, first know that it has nothing to do with the Nomade range. I’m not a fan of the opening, it smells fake, a bit plasticy. The dry down is great though. This has similar vibes to Kayali Utopia but not as creamy, and Utopia is a touch more tropical. This is dates, vanilla, sandalwood, and there HAS to be some sort of tropical floral in here like tiare flower and coconut even though it’s not listed. A bit of a suntan lotion vibe. Overall I like it but I’m not a fan of the opening, hope that helps :)

It’s 10 pm on a fucking Friday and I’m still working !! I will finish up, shower and get in bed and watch this… ❤️ thanks for making my Friday night enjoyable gal!
my naxos sits there collecting dust. i also got it bc it smells so good to me and could imagine it on a man hoping i could get my bf to wear it, but i personally never reach for it bc i wind up wearing my more feminine scents .
Omg, Yass, I can definitely see aurora wearing mon guerlain, you are so good at describing fragrances and always hitting it right in the head!! Btw, I got my bond 9 Greenwich village, and OMG it is totally Barbie’s signature scent!!!! Love it!!💕💕
I think I might be noseblind to the goodness of Eau Duelle - I got a sample of the EDP, and I barely smell anything at all. On my skin, the only thing I get resembles a vanilla candle :(
Hi this is LaTonya new to your Channel Jessica Simpson fancy is a really good perfume it will always be in my perfume collection I will be getting a backup bottle soon
Hello, can it be worn by a teenager? I’m new to fragrances and I don’t gravitate towards complex smelling perfumes. I was hoping to wear it in school. Thank you in advance! Xo
Unfortunately, I couldn't watch this video beyond the third perfume. This is because - as with many perfume videos - I am unable to catch what the name of the perfume is, nor who makes it. Nor am I able to discover where any list is printed. In this particular video, I listened to the description of the third perfume, the oud one, three times but without discovering what it's called or who makes it. These video presenters spend much time describing each perfume, how delicious it is etc., but they seem to gloss over its name and who makes it. Nor am I able to read these things from the bottle as they continuously wave the bottles around. This all makes for intense frustration on my part, as in theory I love these videos but only a few print the name and maker of each perfume in a clear and accessible way. Sorry.
Heretic: the lavender does not belong in Naxos. Lavender is my favorite note in general, but an amped-up lavender note mixed with that sweet honey in Naxos renders an otherwise unique and elegant sweet tobacco fragrance irritating. I was onboard at first but after a few wearings I couldn't deny it any longer. I was poised to buy a full bottle but at the last minute balked at Naxos and bought a full bottle of More Than Words instead. Wearing Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt now and its very similar to Dior Balade Sauvage.
Great selection, Anne! I am curious to try BDK - but there is also a reason why Demi made this perfume popular- alongside Parfume de marly ones, Initio etc.... It is because her boyfriend's father owns a VERY big share in the umbrella company of those fragrance houses. You really cannot trust Demi's fragrance opinion. After her Make up and dancing bikinis you tube career didn't take off, she latched on to the fragrance community as it was really small back then apart from Jeremy's channel. She has absolutely no deeper knowledge about fragrances, she just shills her BFs daddy's company perfumes without disclosing her relationship to PdM etc to her subscribers. In some countries this is illegal.
Ah, another sandalwood lover! Have you tried Nuit de Sable from BDK? It's another sandalwood and cardamom scent with nutmeg and a sand accord and it's incredible!

It’s 10 pm on a fucking Friday and I’m still working !! I will finish up, shower and get in bed and watch this… ❤️ thanks for making my Friday night enjoyable gal!
hahaha I love it!! 🤍😆 I hope work finishes up for you quickly!
Anne how do you think Vanilla 28 would smell layered with YSL Libre Intense? Too much vanilla? I'm gonna try it.
your making me want to reach for my SDV, maybe ill make it my SOD tomorrow . i wonder how it performs in the heat 🤔
I’m guessing it might be more intense! I love it in the fall 🤤
my naxos sits there collecting dust. i also got it bc it smells so good to me and could imagine it on a man hoping i could get my bf to wear it, but i personally never reach for it bc i wind up wearing my more feminine scents .
Yeah it’s too masculine for my taste to wear, so good though 🔥
I love wood sage and sea salt🥰🥰
Disney princess would totally wear monger lawn! I say jasmine
Great video!!
Omg, Yass, I can definitely see aurora wearing mon guerlain, you are so good at describing fragrances and always hitting it right in the head!! Btw, I got my bond 9 Greenwich village, and OMG it is totally Barbie’s signature scent!!!! Love it!!💕💕
And I have the same sent in my eau duels, just got it maybe 2 1/2 weeks ago!! Lol!!! It’s so so good!!!!❤️
Thank you so muchh!!! Ahhh I'm so glad you love it!! 🤍🤍 And I'm fearful about how fast I'm flying through Eau Duelle 🥴!
@@AnneLauren Right me too!! I had to hold myself back from wanting to use it nearly everyday!! Lol!!💕
I got samples of both gypsy water and eau duelle and absolutely adore them! Do you think they are too similar to own them both?
Assuming you haven't put your nose on Initio Side Effect, please do yourself a favor. I do believe it's up there with Herod and Naxos.
I saw a Diptyque,had to investigate🔎
i love the old formulation of OFG, the new has much less perfume oil in it. Did you try it? still worth it?
I took a shot everytime she said "Vanilla" and I DIED.
Can someone help me? I listened twice but didn't catch the name of the (4th I think) perfume in the black bottle with gold design...Oud perfume???
I can’t do flowerbomb/it’s not good on my skin 🙁
you were talking about eau duelle edt and im wondering how does it compare to the edp? in the scent itself but also longevity and projection?
Flower bomb is incredible good 👍
Does Fancy By JS smells anything like apricot/peach? and if yes, is it in the drydown or opening?
I think I might be noseblind to the goodness of Eau Duelle - I got a sample of the EDP, and I barely smell anything at all. On my skin, the only thing I get resembles a vanilla candle :(
Aww bummer!
I love Gris Charnel
Gris Charnel is 😍😍😍
Hi this is LaTonya new to your Channel Jessica Simpson fancy is a really good perfume it will always be in my perfume collection I will be getting a backup bottle soon
hi!! So happy to have you here! It's so pretty! 😍
Hello, can it be worn by a teenager? I’m new to fragrances and I don’t gravitate towards complex smelling perfumes. I was hoping to wear it in school. Thank you in advance! Xo
Will get samples of this list🙏🏿😊
I hope you find something you love!! 🤍
Sorry.
They are always listed in the description box.
Juniper berries are the prime ingredient in gin! So this smells like gin??
Heretic: the lavender does not belong in Naxos. Lavender is my favorite note in general, but an amped-up lavender note mixed with that sweet honey in Naxos renders an otherwise unique and elegant sweet tobacco fragrance irritating. I was onboard at first but after a few wearings I couldn't deny it any longer. I was poised to buy a full bottle but at the last minute balked at Naxos and bought a full bottle of More Than Words instead.
Wearing Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt now and its very similar to Dior Balade Sauvage.
I love Gris Charnel. I wear it to bed 🤍
Diptyque only last around 2hours for me :( i dont like its performance :(
Good one!
My Naxos color looks a lot lighter. Do you know if they have changed anything? Or does it just pick up darker on camera ?
I’m not sure! I know that sometimes vanilla in perfumes make them darken over time, it could be that?
Ah, another sandalwood lover! Have you tried Nuit de Sable from BDK? It's another sandalwood and cardamom scent with nutmeg and a sand accord and it's incredible!
Oh my gosh I NEED to! It’s definitely on my to try list 😍
