This is so real 😭 I’ve decided to not buy more till I finish a few bottles but it’s so tough.
I bought a travel size of skylar's salt air and omg you are so right about it. Its so damn delicious and addicting smelling while being aquatic and summertime without the sunscreen smell. Its a vibe and I love it!

Le Labo, MFK, Vilhelm Parfumerie and Byredo are obscenely expensive in South Afrika ! It's crazy ! I am only willing to buy the discovery sets and use them sparingly. Thank you for this video, the dupes are definitely more accessible and more affordable.
When you mentioned the cartoon character and featured Mickey Mouse, it occurred to me that you’re waaay too young to know Pepe Le Pew 🦨 the OG, you have to look him up when he follows a scent trail!! 😂

I know not everyone is into dupes but if you are open to them, the Alt. Fragrance version of G. Water is amazing. They call it Bohemian Water. Commodity Gold is beautiful but there is something to special about G. Water. I was wearing Bohemian Water in the grocery store the other day, turned the corner of an aisle and two women were like.. “oh it’s you that smells so good! We smelled something amazing and just realized that’s it’s you” I also got comments that same day in the pet food store!! Anyhow it’s a great alternative for those who can’t afford the real deal. Very aromatic..

My favorite fragrance from Juliette Has A Gun is Vanilla Vibes. In the heat of summer it smells like you just came off the beach and you've been sunbathing in the richest tanning lotion. Bronze Goddess vibes. Love it!

I think I need to give Santal 33 another try! It smelled like a dill salad on a co worker…..so I never thought it was for me. But maybe it will smell different on me!!!! 😂

I'm so glad you got a chance to sample Milky Musk and love it! I recommend it to everyone who appreciates minimalist, unisex scents and enjoys lactonic woodiness, because that one gets it so right. Also, I'm one of those weird fragrance lovers who can't always tolerate wearing something bold, and often gets headachey and annoyed by my own fragrance 😂 However, that one never bothers me, and is still really interesting and unique.

Have you tried Tocca Colette? To me it's a very good Gypsy Water dupe and a tremendous compliment-getter. The Gypsy Water is more complex and fresher up front, but I find the drydowns to be almost indistinguishable.

My favorite dupe for SDV is La Nuit Tresor A La Folie. They share so many of the same notes! Love layering them too.

So so so glad to see you eliminate the g-word!! I know the perfume is one of your faves and it’s such a gorgeous scent and i’ve been waiting and waiting for the fragrance community to catch on to the g-word being a slur. I always appreciate the way your describe scents beyond just the notes, and this is yet another reason I’ll continue to enjoy your channel. The fragrance world was able to shift to calling scents “Amber” so I hope more fragrance reviewers will follow your lead with this one.

Not at all! But, they are in the same fragrance family and there is that memorable sandalwood that’s in both :) so you can pick up that DNA but I wouldn’t call it a dupe, Book is taken in a different direction

I have! I loveeee Queens & Monsters, that’s on my wishlist! And I currently have a sample of Dark is Night, have yet to try that one :)
@@AnneLauren I wanted to love queens and monsters and thought I would based on reviews and notes, but it went weird on me...smelled plastic or something strange. My husband smelled it on me and said nope...So true that people need to try everything on THEIR SKIN before making a decision. I’m as a little disappointed.
@@AnneLauren An update...after trying queens and monsters multiple times, I love it now and have a bottle on the way.😂 Something was weird that first time....now it’s a creamy sandalwood and so beautiful. I’m getting a travel size of dark is night so I can wear it for date nights this fall. Would love to hear your opinions on all the Henry Rose line...also the fresh ones.

Was looking for a cheaper alternative to BR540 but I got the latex/hospital smell in Amber Rouge unfortunately, that I didn't get in BR540.

Anneke, thank you for that description - latex/hospital smell. I get this from Clinique Happy when I have worn it! Sums it up so well. Kind of a rubber or tire scent comes out on me. I have no idea what note it is. And I love the perfume! 😫 will pass my bottle on unfortunately.

Love your videos!! The only issue with the Baccart dupes is that they turn almost rancid in the drydown or they turn weird, even they orientica. The Baccarat cotton candy airy sweetness is unique

I have sampled Gyspy water a few times, but on my skin it smells like lemon and vanilla. Your discription is what I am looking for, to me that is Eau Duelle, have You tried EDP of Eau Duelle? You must!

@@AnneLauren Yes, I know, You own the EDT formulation, but EDP is even better! Longer lasting, more projecting but still airy and spicy.

I got a sample of Angelique Noir yesterday and I LOVE it even more than sdv. You might want to sample it. Really unique vanilla,musk,amber with Angelica seeds.
One spray lash night and I could smell it this morning! Beautiful warm and Sexy. I'll definitely get a decant of this! Happy scent journey.
I actually just blind bought Zara's dupe for Gypsy Water. Fingers crossed because as pretty as the smell is, i can barely smell it so I cannot justify paying for a bottle of the real deal. I also just ordered a sample of Another 13. 😅 I think Salt Air reminds me of a Calgon body spray from the 90's! I can't remember the name but it was blue. It also reminds me of Replica Bubble Bath.
I don’t get the hype with Santal. It’s so foul. It smells like pickle juice that’s been sitting in the sun. So rancid. I’ve tied so hard to like it but just no. I don’t think living in Miami (where its everyone signature) has made it easier for me.
I totally agree! I think it’s nasty and SO strong. I honestly don’t think I like any le labo fragrances. I think I’m missing something😅 although my wallet doesn’t mind

Girl.. new big fan. Love your scent profile. I want you to review one of my #1 favorite perfumes that's discontinued. Fragrance Revival brought it back. Pleasures Delight by EL (I've been in beauty industry since mid 90's) and it's my favorite. Patchouli. Marshmallow. Strawberry, Vanilla. Please please check it out!!
Anne, I love your recommendations and I know you love guerlain double vanille. I tried it for the first time since I have an obsession over vanilla as well. I Iove you girl, but the base note is so mature. I wanted to scrub it off my arm. Other than that, all your recommendations are always spot on. 😌😚

Completely agree with Gold being a comparable dupe for GWater! I personally own both for exactly the reasons you mentioned (gold is more “streamlined” sexy amber vanilla, GWater is complex and bright). I’m surprised you don’t like By The Fireside by Replica, such similar notes!

Would you agree? Very curious to know! (Cannot test it myself because 7 virtues is not available where I live)
I would say no - I have both. Vanilla Woods smell similar to Al Rehab Golden Sand, MK Midnight Shimmer, Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Iconique or Sol Cheirosa 40... if you are familiar with any of those - they’re all very pretty close!

Lost In Santal from the new limited Luxury Edition Bath & Body Works is said to be the exact dupe of Santal 33. Their Pink Obsessed is the closest dupe ever created to Born in Roma

I know this is a late reply, but I just got the Orientica a couple months ago and I was NOT prepared for how HEAVY that bottle is! Could they ditch the metal and charge me less, please? That said, it's a beautiful fragrance and a perfectly acceptable dupe for the price.
