You are absolutely correct that it is 2 vehicles in one! I got my truck about a month ago, Lariate Ultimate F 350 and absolutely love it! More comfortable of a ride than I thought it would be and the seats are extremely comfortable even tho I have the standard ones in the LUP. I don't regret not getting the Max Recline seats I think these are very comfrotable. And with the 7.3 I have 4,202 lbs of payload!!
Definitely looks good. Antimatter blue would be my choice. Tough decision but I’d still go King Ranch for this much money. I don’t like these wheels on video but like you said, maybe they look better in person.🇺🇸💪
All the technology is cool but I definitely like the Silverado more. Ford makes a truck like you need a CDL. GM keeps it simple and has most of this technology installed and you’re not getting nickel and dime for it during the building process.
Feel like the last thing ford can do is add a 4 link and coilspring setup for the rear. Lot softer ride and still strong. Otherwise they have everything.

I’m looking for advice on my first new truck purchase, I have on order 2 F350’s. One gas the other diesel. Both exact same otherwise. I’m a long haul truck driver with over 3 million miles and this is my retirement truck. When it’s paid off the wife and I are going to see all the places I couldn’t stop and enjoy. I’m just concerned oddly that the diesel will ruin the retirement we’ve been working towards for 30 years at that point.
What's the dealer markup? Last (as in never again) time I checked on an F350, the dealer wanted $10K over. As if that was going to happen. Certainly not with Ford's (lack of) quality control and reliability at this point. When a company CEO says quality is a problem that will take several years to address, that's a big red flag.
Pretty sure king ranch and platinum have the same headlights. It's only an $800 difference between the two now. No more KR ultimate package for 2023; it's all included

I thought they were all historically the same if you had the Lariat/KR ultimate/platinum/limited (LED) and just recently went to projectors across the board. It's odd (stupid IMO) to see them now have 3 headlight tiers, essentially. Should just be halogen then either LED or projector with an upgrade. Though now that I'm seeing people complain about the distance on the projectors vs LED style I guess I'm not missing out
For 2023 they did away with the ultimate package on the K.R. So stupid on ford's part for the S.D. not to get projector or full L.E.D. taillights, only F150 lariat on up get the projector and full LED taillights. Don't understand @Ford
The problem is, there is no GM equivalent. Ford's gas and diesel engines have more power, the payload for the 250 and 350 SRW is higher on average, you get a dual pane moonroof, pro power on board if you want it…the long bed gives you a slightly longer wheelbase and a larger fuel tank (which is a big deal), you get hitch assist and trailer backup assist, a button in the bed for your cargo lights, the rear tailgate pop out step, max recline seats, power pedals and steering column…there's a couple more items I'm forgetting. There's almost nothing you can get on the GM's that you can't get on the Fords, but quite a bit of stuff you can get on the Fords and you can't get on the GMs. If the IFS vs the SFA is a big deal to you, then that's a big plus for the GMs but otherwise, for all the comparing I've done, the Ford is just more truck for your money.

Don't care for the multipro tailgate mostly because it removes one of the few things GM's have over most Ford trims (power up tailgate). B&O Speakers superior to the Bose. 4WD Auto is nice I guess, but Ford has drive modes that make up for that somewhat. Never heard about this leaking oil pan issue, will have to look into that. SFA certainly has it's issues but so does the IFS. It's very closer overall but Ford just has more stuff that I'm personally interested in. The more powerful big block engine and larger fuel tank pretty much seals the deal for me right there.
@@SliderFury1 cam and lifter delamination is a much bigger and more serious issue than any oil consumption which is very uncommon on the 6.6 gas. 22 and newer 6.6 gas have no oil consumption, they redesigned the PCV system. Ford is also having major issues with the 10 speed trans especially behind the 7.3
I don't see how Ford can sell you a $100k truck with the multi-countour seats and just say sorry, here's a few hundred dollars credit for the deletion of your massaging seats. I'm also miffed that I agree with the notion that I like the King Ranch seats better, love that brown color in particular, so I wasn't interested in a Platinum or Limited. But Ford thumbs their nose at the King Ranch community and gives them the non-LED head and tail lights. Not cool. Not for a $100k truck.
Fleet sales won't, those guys don't care how the trucks look, and that's where Ford gets a lot of their business. Previous gen Chevy HDs looked way worse than this and I still see tons of them around.

Uh i think the interior looks a little better on the platinum than the high country but the high country definitely looks better overall.

I don’t like the platinum grill. I think the Lariat and even the XLT grill look better. Easy change though.
