To anyone who doesn’t want to or has the means to cut the dash over the rear screws a 4mm Allen key does work
Man you don't know how good you did
For me today, I was getting crazy today
Trying to fix the shifter bushings
And you show me in a very respectful
And professional way to understand.
--------------'God bless you
Hey Juan! I am so glad this video helped you out. Honestly, I remember that day, I even didn't want to film it, I didn't plan to film the repair, didn't bring any gear, just had only cell phone. It was repair when you helping good friend. Then, I pulled phone out and decided to film in case it might help someone else. Thanks a lot for your kind feedback. Cheers brotha!
To anyone thats gonna do this just drop the whole steering colum instead of ripping your whole dash apart. It's much easier
Awesome. Exactly what I was needing today. This was "fixed" before I bought it and now I'm fixing it
Great to hear!
JUST ORDERED A SET OF BUSHINGS FOR MY 1997 RANGER. I HOPE TO HELL THAT IS ALL IT NEEDS!!! THANKS, FOR THE VIDEO- JOHN IN CO.
Glad to help John! Thanks for your feedback.
I'm in the process of doing mine I dropped my column because it seemed easier than tearing my dash apart
Hello, thanks for the tutorial. I have 03’ f450 that just broke…so you have the replacement part numbers ?? Thanks again
Look under the steering, remove 4 13 mm volts, when you do that the steering column will be resting on the seat. a lot easier, all the screws will be right there on top easily accessible I can fit my whole arm on top with a quarter inch ratchet in my hand and still have plenty of room.
Love your laid back attitude
Thank you ZeeZ!
Excellent tutorial, so strange how the previous owner cut the plastic where the Instrument cluster goes though.
Thanks for your kind feedback J251)
I am probably going to do the same tbh
@@christianv00What, cut the plastic where the cluster sits?
What size are those bolt on the end
Excellent..just the vid I was looking for...thank you
Glad it was helpful, David!
U didn’t show how to put the gear shifter back in. Now I put it upside down md the pin in backwards
What about the ignition lock connection 🤔
I had the exact same break
Many thanks buddy!
You bet!
Why don't you just go under the steering column and remove the 4 13 mm bolts and drop the column down
Good question James:) I will try your advice next time it will break! Cheers!
That's exactly what I did!
Dang wish i seen this comment before i finished lol
Is there a video and how to drop it by removing the 4 13mm bolts?
Thank you for posting the video, removing the four bolts does make it a lot easier and quicker. Cheers.
Steering wheel locked up?
What are the names of all parts purchased?
What is the part number for the actual shaft?
I'm not sure.
Don't have to remove all that just drop the Steering column 4 bolts remove bushing brackets and replace.
Thanks for the tip!
Very interesting repair. The truck is a bit dirty.
It's dirty!
Sweet
Get that truck cleaned up have some respect for your property and thanks for the helpful video
Indeed, I would definitely clean it up if it was my truck.
Just make sure you lube and put lock tight on all the screws and you'll never have the problem again
Dude now everyone knows
Man I bet you are embarrassed
You waisted a lot of time there is no need to take the whole dash apart all you have to do is take the four bolts two actually the bottom two are slotted, and drop the steering column down and you can get at everything.
Thanks for an advice, Steve!
