Next up on this episode of "my strange addiction" Safiya Nnygard. Saf " I learned in my mid 20's which type of candles are best for tasting and which are best for eating. The long non-scented candles are prime eating candles.
Tyle " I promised our mothers before we got married that I would do my best to keep Safe from eating wax as best as I possibly can."

I know Krusty is an older boy. When my friend's old cat stopped using the litter box she figured out he didn't like the feeling of the litter on his feet anymore. She ended up lining an empty litter box with puppy pads and he started using it again.
It can be a lot of things. Older cats are known for becoming incontinent. They're also known for becoming much more particular.. so like you said it could be something as simple as he doesn't like the feel of the litter. He could also be more sensitive to the smell or dust as well. Most of the time it's up to looking for a pattern. If it looks like he's *trying* to get to the litter it's just he was unable to make it and it should be moved closer to wherever he rests. If it's that he gets near it but not in it, he likely just doesn't like how it feels anymore.
I use oko cat litter. It's basically saw dust. My cats prefer it to clay. My older cat is sensitive to clay litter, when he scratches in it, he has issues breathing.
Livestream idea: I'd love to see you both try and follow along with a Bob Ross painting video! 👀 I don't know why but I feel like they would end up looking great!

I refer to many varieties of things as "flavours", including (but not limited to) strengths of medicines, colours of paint and scents of toiletries. I work on the basis that if the person I'm talking to knows what I mean, does it matter that I'm not using the "correct" English term?
Admittedly that's only when I'm communicating verbally; any kind of written language gets the correct word used!

I am here in support of Tyler's chest hair. A sweet man such as him should not be shamed. First of all, body hair is natrual and attractive. I stan body hair and body positivity.

@@nas19281 it can go either way, people of this age seem to be super obsessed with smooth hairlessness. I personally don't subscribe to that beauty ideal and wish it could be a choice without so much pressure. It makes me sad that people feel the need to hide their bodys in fear of being ridiculed.

I went to CW just because of that vid. I was so freaking happy when I saw all the things that she showed in the video, in real life. I was so excited. ❤
Fun fact: febreeze was originally used for law enforcement and military to de-stink wearable equipment that couldn't be washed easily such as body armour and bulletproof vests. It meant that it could go longer between "washings".
That's what the original use was intended to be. How Tyler mentioned using it on 'dirty' laundry that was still "clean" but just had a dingy smell to it.. it's actually meant for things like that. Every time you wash things you're deteriorating it slightly.. so the more you can go without washing, the better off you are really. Plus, sometimes there are things you can't wash easily that need deodorized. Like your bed, sofa, office chair, etc. I love just having febreze around to spray whenever something starts smelling dingy.

Whoever checked you out while you bought all these Febreeze candles must have been wondering just how bad your house smells that you need this many
I always wonder what the people think when they buy all these things. Like watch the Sephora one or Bath and Body Works. Where they literally went into the stores and just bought hundreds of things.. there was one where they had to actually call their bank and verify they were making the purchase. I'd love to get the reactions of the employee during these. That does lead to a lot of other issues though if not prepared.. so I can see why they leave it out. But like I'd love to see the employee reaction and thoughts when Saf just showed up with 1 of everything in the store.
I think once you get to a certain number, the cashier thinks that you're buying them as presents. In that case, they probably start wondering about the kinds of people you know.

RE: “hot foods in your fridge...”. Putting a hot candle or any other item in your fridge will likely NOT spoil your food. That is old fashion advice and was applicable to appliances from the 1900s...most modern refrigerators can adjust cooling and accommodate change. Some fridges even have cool blast settings to chill down quickly. Food safety is “quick to hot, quick to cold”...cooling foods on counter only promotes bacteria growth. Be wary of any food handling advice passed down from older generations....modern technology and better science has changed the old standards.

I still use a victorian style icebox,and cool larder. Things cool in the larder,then into the icebox.
I guess a caveat to this would be to make sure your fridge isn't from the 90's / is working properly before you put hot stuff in your fridge.
It still uses a lot of energy to put hot things straight to the fridge. So if it is not food that goes bad very easily or is eaten quickly I would not advice people to put super hot things to the fridge.
I've never really noticed Saf doing her cartoon witch laugh but it suits her astoundingly well lol

I was actually thinking the same thing. Had no clue they even had this many scents.
They said in the beginning of the episode that only the first category was from a store; everything else was ordered online.

i felt like a pet-owner trying to keep a dog away from something like "NO DON'T EAT THE CANDLE!! DON'T!! EAT!! IT!!"
I teach high-school chemistry in Canada. There was a lab that called for smarties, so I used Canadian smarties (like m&ms). It was so weird with all the melted chocolate, etc, until I realized smarties in the US are rockets in Canada!

For the Crusty going #1 and #2 everywhere, a dedicated room with food water litter pan and heating pad worked for us. Old cat gets its own room most of the time, is allowed out for people time. We installed a clear door for ours to look into the rest of the house and still feel part of the house. Keeps cat happy and house cleaner. Cat diapers are also an option.
You put your guy in cat jail? 🥺 My dude would be lost if he couldn’t follow us around the house and get random pets and conversations. That’s like his whole day.
@@circadianite Nope, she's got the guest suite, clear door way spa queen treatment. And she gets free time to roam as she wants with frequent bathroom breaks. One of the perks of working from home, cat butlering 😊 the suite it to keep her away from the younger cats, that start fights.

For many years prior to the dumb Tide pods challenges, a lot of little kids and adults with cognitive impairments ate the pods because the looked like candy, and got very sick. Some died.
I believe the reason mango scented things sometimes smell like coffee is that mango seeds are used in artificial coffee flavouring/scents.

The classic Febreeze commercial that I remember was the people constantly opening their front doors and taking huge whiffs of the Febreeze air. I was always thinking, “it’s like they are trying to get high off of Febreeze.”

Oud is an arabian scent, very popular in the middle east, along with amber and musk. You can probably find it in most perfumes or fragranced household products in the middle east.
It’s actually the Arabic word for frankenscence referenced in the Bible, which I found out because frankensence Xmas candles in ireland are oud scented
@@askmeabouthardcheeses1509 They’re actually two different things - oud/agarwood is the resinous heartwood from aquilaria trees when they get infected with a certain type of mold, and frankincense/olibanum is the resin from Boswellia trees
Yeah I know a lot about the middle east and have a lot of syrian friends and acquaintances but learned oud was a middle eastern scent from a clip of Kim Kardashian talking about her crystal perfumes, one of which had oud in it which she said was inspired by the ME lol

1. Once the wax has started to cool, you could put it in the freezer for 5 minutes, put back in fridge for the rest. Should harden faster.
2. When wanting to sniff a candle, burn it for a minute or two, blow it out, then sniff.

You should definitely try to make a franken candle out of Rituals’ candles. They only got a store in New York in America I believe, but I guess you can order it online from that store. Anyway they got lots of different scents and it would be interesting to see them all combined!

You need to start keeping a "parmesan cheese shaker" filled with coffee beans nearby to refresh your poor noses. They use them at places where you design your own scents and candles.
The candles’ sub name should be the anti-crust since it will neutralize the scent of crusty
Hi! Would you consider introducing us to your producers at the start of the episode? Like a "hey comin in live with Carly and Chris or Aly" and then they wave awkwardly. That sounds nice. Haha their voices are very much part of the show every week so it would be nice to meet them!
They have said that if any of the team want to reveal themselves they're welcome to but there's no pressure and that everyone should stop suggesting it.

You could melt together all the candles from one of those Disneyland inspired candle companies and get a franken Disneyland candle that smells like the whole park in one since you don’t live nearby anymore.

I use Fabreze in my bathroom in my bathroom because I used to use Glade spray but I realized that it was just covering the stink in floral but Fabreze kills the stink.

Take strange ice cream combos from twitter or Instagram and then melt together, re-chrun and then eat - Scoring them from best to worst. Kinda has GMM flavours .. but could be fun. Fan who guesses best lineup, wins a mug or something.

As a French speaker, if someone was offering me a "gourmandise" (noun) I would expect fancy candy or a decadent dessert.
Something "gourmand" (adjective) is something rich in flavour, that would make your mouth water.
If you want to get rid of smells in plastic containers but bicarb soda in a cup and close lid bicarb will absorb the smells
