The production on this is insane. The prep figuring out how best to melt a candle in advance, and then obtaining like 6 ovens. The 50 gallon beer vat. Leaving nothing up to chance. The GRAPHICS?!?! The transition from voiceover to mic'ed audio just seamless. THE MATCHING FITS. I'm honestly so fucking impressed.
I love that you don’t just buy, melt, mix, end. You give stats, show the fun, the errors, the full picture. You seriously make such a production, that one cannot help but be thoroughly interested from beginning to end.
I love this part at 23:03 where Evan, Katelyn and Safiya are all seemingly the same height... But the moment you notice that you realize that Evan is kneeling down, Saf is just standing there, and Katelyn is possibly standing on a bucket :D I love you guys
Showed this to my mom who’s been working at yankee candle factory in western mass for 25+ years. She loved this! She had me sign up IMMEDIATELY for this fraken candle. She’s sending this to all her co worker friends. She LOVED THIS
I love how both Franken-candles have consistently been a color that fits Safiya’s vibe. Like, smoky, witchy, purple/ mauve just seems right. It’s giving modern witch who just got her nails done and wanted to try something a little more “colorful”
There's just something so sweet about including the Yankee Candle employees in this project. I love seeing friends collaborate on something, but the fact that they got to be part of it even though you don't really know them and they aren't influencers or anything makes me really happy.
I love how the franken series has evolved from kitchen antics to super high tech, full out projects. So cool to see the growth and how you guys pull these things off!!!
As a former Yankee Candle employee this makes me so happy! I’ve wanted this to happen for so long and it’s finally happened. Wishing I could smell the final product!
I was really shocked seeing the wax go from an inky black when it was all melted, to such a warm terracotta once solidified! I love how the franken series always surprises me in that regard
i'm rewatching this for like the 5th time and i JUST noticed the miniature set-ups for the in-between cuts that show each candle?? like the mini kitchen and mini bakery for the food and drink scents, the mini bathroom for the aromatherapy ones, and the mini garden for the garden scents. i'm gonna need a youtube short on the shopping and setup of these little scenes, they're SO CUTE
The way you interact with store employees is just such a lovely contrast with a lot of creators on the platform and it makes your videos so pleasant to watch, always look forward to these
I appreciate your process, it isn’t a fast and sloppy let’s see what happens video. I appreciate that you spent your own money and were careful to recycle. I also appreciate that you were creative in your vessel and had a wonderful collaboration. And as stated by many, the way you treated staff and strangers in your video was very nice.
I want to petition Safiya to be a narrator for audio books. I would listen to you read books to me. Especially halloween horror books. Also. this video production is bonkers.
I love how hardcore professional this method was 😄 From melting cosmetics in little pots in Safiya+Tyler's kitchen, to a full-blown warehouse - they'll be at factory level soon enough!
I’ve always loved how organized, formatted and visually appealing the Franken videos are! Like showing each product, the strategy of melting the stuff etc
I love the Franken series. It honestly feels like all the intrusive thoughts come out, lol. Plus, it's so satisfying from melting all the wax in a candle to scrapping out eyeshadow!
All the prep that went into this, figuring out how large of a pot would be needed, creating the container for the final product -- SO much work, but so so cool!
It’s remarkable that this Franken-series literally NEVER gets old and it’s because of saf’s (and team/collaborators’) excellent presentation, research, execution, and results!!!! Great job guys!!
I'll truly never tire of these franken-videos. Also just from a creative standpoint, love how you guys were able to take the franken-candle concept and make it feel completely new!
I know a lot of RUclipsrs have lost motivation to continue on or just don’t feel inspired anymore, but I want you to know your videos are more than what they seem. They are a great escape from this wild world, and many of us cherish them greatly. To me they’re like hanging out with an old friend. Thank you Safiya, Tyler, & friends for all that you do. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and truly make this world better one laugh at a time ❤
Yall have no idea how happy seeing you two and Evan and Katelynn collab 😭 I didn’t even know this happened but I love it so much. Two of my favorite channels. ❤
I love that these are actual mad science videos, with statistics and even thermodynamics! It would be so easy to just throw the candles together and describe the resulting scent but it's all the extra details that make all the Franken-videos so much fun to watch
I appreciate how you always do the grunt work of all the math. Working percentages and such of which scents are included. It's taking pride in your work and it shows.
As someone who used to work for YCC, I WISH i could have been working in that store they day they came in, because I just know that their ADS and total sales for the day was out of this world. Also, I will say, Yankee changes their lineup with the seasons, so it makes sense that there were a TON of autumn/winter fragrances. if this had been spring, it would have been a bunch of clean and floral fragrances over the pumpkin and apple fragrances.
I love how calmly you guys tackle every impossible problem and roadblock. It's a reminder that it's all part of the process and everything is figure out-able.
the amount of troubleshooting that goes into a project this big is crazy, and i love getting to see the entire process, blips and all. safiya, you truly have some of the best narration on this platform!! thank you guys for sharing!!
40:14 “we are now snorting the candle” after katelyn said “i sniffed too vigorously” sent me into ORBIT😭😭i laughed for minutes & rewinded atleast 5 times😭😭
Hello! I worked at Yankee Candle for 7 years before landing my first ‘adult’ job. It was one of my favorite jobs in the world. I’m so happy you made a Frankencandle out of all of their scents 🥰 Just seeing you in the store brings back so much nostalgia, and you might be surprised to hear that the amount of candles you bought doesn’t even touch what some of our regulars would come in and buy! We divided our scents up by the Five “F”s: Fresh, Fruit, Floral, Food, Festive. I would have thought the Frankencandle mostly smelled of pine and cinnamon as those are very dominant scents in a Yankee store. Loved the video and I bet anything every candle fan is very excited to watch! 💕🕯
Was dividing the candles by the 5F scents a corporate practice or just something your store did to keep track of them all? I imagine it could be difficult to remember every scent and help customers find the one they want
@@swampelf the 5F’s was a corporate practice, and you would be surprised how much you can familiarize yourself with every scent. After some practice it was easy to hone in on a specific scent someone was looking for.
I honestly hope you were able to sign up to get one and do get it. I want to know which f it would belong to from someone who probably can tell smells by those 5F's
@@Viathefox-crystalwolf77If we’re using the 5 F’s, it would fall between the fresh and festive, but it really is musky, warm, a touch sweet and very cozy! It definitely blends them and would fall into the category we call “aromatic” now. (I still use the 5 Fs - even when I train, but they don’t encompass all the blends nearly as well as the newer categories!)
The thoughtfulness of your content really shines through in this series. In an internet world full of overconsumption and wasteful content, these videos are a welcome break in how grounded you all come across, how respectful you are of workers, and your casual inclusion of how you source and/or recycle your materials.
The comfort I get from watching you all melt and combine a variety of things is unmatched and my love for the franken series could never waver. Didn’t know I needed a life size candle till today
If anyone is ever unsure why there isn't weekly content from this channel.. this video is proof of HOW MUCH work goes into every video that's uploaded! You guys work so hard!
the level of production value of these franken vids is crazy, i remember the earliest ones with just simple tools from home! and the editing!!! the graphics!!! the time that went in to this vid with so much attention to detail with getting all the data about the scent notes and including the scent on screen for every single candle pour, truly stellar stuff! i can feel the effort and time that went into every single aspect of this project, and it is deeply inspiring!!
Okay but the lil miniature sets that were on when showcasing certain candles were so cute!!! It’s absolutely amazing how much care was put into this video
i've never needed something SO badly in my entire life. also the banter in this video was top notch. i particularly liked "he looks like the winter soldier" "he's the winter soldier at home" and "the yankee candle you have, the yankee candle she tells you not to worry about"
I love how much thought, effort, and planning you out into these videos. It’s not just a rushed video. It’s well thought out and you put a lot effort into them!
I really love how appreciative she always is for everyone who helps her. It's also crazy. How much these videos have developed in type of franken and just general scale.
I LOVE the Franken series. Every part delivers on humor, chaos, creativity, and entertainment. Plus, Safiya and Tyler have such great chemistry with whomever they interact or collab with. The giantness of this candle is A+.
I love how each time Safiya does a Franken, the end color created always end up matching to her personality and style. Like the wax melted looked pitch black. Such a Safiya look! Love you!!!
This is probably my favorite franken project yet. A lot of fun to watch! Thank you for answering the hard-hitting questions we didn't know we needed the answers to.
The Yankee Candle staff (and Safiya!) describing it as "woody and musky" completely sold me, that sounds amazing. I'm glad that even with all the melting shenanigans, the candle came out so well!
I couldn’t help but notice the detail when presenting each of the candles in sort of thematic backgrounds. So much work on the production of your context. Well done!
I can only imagine the amount of planning and bts that goes into these frankin videos, especially one of this scale! I bet the spread sheet with all the candles, categories and scent nods took a lot of time to put together. Bravo to all parties involved in this project!!
I love how you filmed each candle category with a cute little mini scene- especially the "scenes, settings and destinations" category. Cute little tent and woodland scene.
one of my favorite things about you, Safiya, is that you have the ability to truly describe a smell. I have congenital anosmia, meaning I have not been able to smell since birth. You are one of the only people I have ever seen that has the ability to describe a smell in a way I can understand. Thank you!
This collab was amazing! Katelyn's graphic design work, Evan's engineering, and Safiya's insatiable desire to mix everything made for an amazing project!!!
The best part of these videos is the science and heavy planning that goes into a project like this. I would have never thought of creating a custom candle jar for one giant 4 foot candle. Love these franken video! Best one yet!
There's something so satisfying about watching the melted candles be poured out into the large container, and it ended up being a really pretty color too.
It’s mind-boggling to me the work you guys put into this. Even individually wrapping and recycling the Yankee container glasses at the end. Y’all are amazing.❤
The color of the candle kinda gave me the vibe of a “ghost of a rose” like Saf said. This was so cool to watch!! I really like the artwork that was printed on the candle too.
I think this is one of my favorite franken videos yet! It was so obvious you guys were having fun the entire time, and it was so ingenious to put Evan in a trash-bag-arm to get everything back on track when it wouldn't melt quite right. Evan and Katelyn also brought such a good energy and worked so well with the type of humor this channel is known for! I would absolutely love to smell this candle, I feel like it's so large and all-encompassing that the description can't fully explain what it's like. This is an incredible video to add to the franken ranks!

I cannot get over the production quality on these, it keeps getting more and more elaborate every time! Hats off! That looks like it was a ton of work
"This is taller than Rosanna Pancino" had me in stitches 😂 I would love to see a side-by-side comparison!
There's something so satisfying about watching the melted candles be poured out into the large container, and it ended up being a really pretty color too.
That Oven and Katelyn joke was the best part of this video.
I really like the artwork that was printed on the candle too.
the thought, science, editing, engineering behind this video is admirable
evan and katelyn plus safiya is like the greatest crossover episode
Everything Frankin turns purple! The ultimate color mix! So much fun! I hope to get a little Frankie Yankie!
Prior Frankins: Purple
This one: nude brown (?).
I was surprised the color ended up so pleasant and not the usual boring brown you get with mixing colors. The Franken candle looks amazing!
