My wife surprised me with this. We sat down for the drawing which included my wife daughter and myself. When the artist turned the drawing around it revealed that we were adding a little one to our family. I was so happy and lots of happy tears. What a great moment

I proposed to my wife at this caricature spot! She thought we were getting a regular drawing done but when they showed the finished drawing it had my character on one knee with the words “will you marry me”.
Their team was super helpful with planning and helped get photos of our special moment 😁
How do you planned it with them? Like you went to them and asked about it without your wife noticing?
@@_ITALUKE_ oh they actually have a number to call to plan it ahead of time. So they knew my name, date and time that I was coming. They double checked while paying beforehand too
You’re absolutely right! We met Disneyland caricature artist Caesar Alzate Jr when our daughter turned 5 years old, and he has drawn her EVERY YEAR since then! She just turned 20 and the drawings line the wall of her bedroom.
Lots of hot cocoa and beignets together while he was drawing her, and Caesar has become a treasured friend!
(Oliviana’s drawing was even up on the cart for awhile!!)
We had this done of our dog, Larry, a couple years before he passed. It's framed and hanging in our house. An absolute treasure!

I brought a picture of my dog that had passed away. The Cast Member did such a beautiful job, I sobbed my heart out.
Loved this, Chris... did you know that you can ask to have yourself put in as a character IN a ride. Not ALL of the artists feel confident enough in their skills, but they will usually suggest a specific artist. In my case, I was put into POC. Not as the Auctioneer or the Mayor... but as one of the Drunken Crew. It is an amazing art piece that my family and friends absolutely LOVE.
You two are just TOO fun! We did charicatures for our 2 sons & are oldest doesn’t want it up since he was 9 (now 19).. We said no.. it’s up there for posterity! The wife & I need this for our own~ Next month, here we come! ❤

My husband and I are surprising our 3 1/2 year old with a Disney trip at the end of April. We are both turning 30 this year and all your videos are getting us so excited to celebrate! 🥰

I watch an even amount of Disney/universal videos and true crime but I think I’ve watched a little bit much true crime lately so I’m taking a break to flood my brain with more Disney. It always helps my mental health to see kind people doing things that make them happy 🤍

We got this done 10 years ago on our honeymoon when we had to sit there to get it done. We then we did this last June for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was awesome! We have them displayed next to each other! We plan to have them done every 10 years in our marriage! We love it!!!

I've walked by there a million times and didn't realize how cool that is. We lost our dog Lucy a week and a half ago and have been trying to think of ideas of what we could display in our home to remember her and this is perfect. Thanks for the great idea. I'm guessing orange.

The first time I took my children to Disneyland, we had their silhouettes cut. They were 6, 4 and 1. Then 20 years later I had them done again and they hang side by side in my house!

Cabo is soooooo cute! I've sat for portraits including caricatures. Even drawn myself as both caricature and portrait. Still like Mad Magazine for its artistic style. I used to watch them did this when I worked at AstroWorld in Houston, TX. Thanks for the share Chris ans Amanda. Adventureland looks so wonderful with torches visible at night.

We're WDW Passholders, and haven't done this yet there. I think I might want hubby & I to do this for our 10th wedding anniversary. DL trip in October. Thank you for this video! Oh btw,, you got me crying with that special message. I'm trying to recover from bronchitis and I've been to urgent care & the er once a week, for the last 3 weeks. I found what I’m going to do in retirement! I’ve done caricatures at graduation parties and other events, but to do it at Disneyland? That would be amazing. And then I can truly say I am a Disney artist. :)
I would love to have a picture made of my two Scottish Terriers! It's so hard to get good pictures of black dogs with dark eyes, so a drawing would be great, but $56! I would think adding a second face to the same picture wouldn't cost the same as doing two separate pictures.
True it’s expensive. But when you think how long you’ll be enjoying it. Its very affordable.

Those artist are very talented and had I known you could airdrop a photo I definitely would've done this! Did the same for our fur baby. We did one while he was alive and one after he passed, which includes a halo and tiny angel wings! :'-). Kim was our artist as well for the second painting, she did an awesome job!

I LOVE these! Both our girls and our son have these and we have my husband and I together on our Honeymoon trip to Disneyland. I love them so much!!! You have to get at least one and if you have a special needs kiddo who cannot sit for very long they can do one off of a photograph as well.

I had this done in Disney Springs of my dog and the artist did an amazing job!
My favorite souvenir is perfume from Mlle. Antoinettes Parfumerie. It can be a bit pricey, but the scents I purchase from there always bring great memories.
I’m going to guess that Kim (the artist) will paint a purple bow because, of the 100th anniversary of Disney’s Studios
Adventure Land is where I bought the most perfect straw hat 40 years ago and I still have it and it’s still wonderful. Disneyland sells quality stuff. It flew off during the Thunder Mountain ride and they found it and mailed it to me. No charge.

My sister is in town with her family and we just went this Monday and Tuesday with all them, 10 in total. Monday was the holiday but didn’t feel more crowded than Tuesday felt, except until it started raining!
